Before I watch, I will be very impressed if that is the original 3UZ. I have read bad things about the 3UZ, and I am curious if that is true in this case. Ours got to ~195,000 with very little problems (user error). I am very curious to see what magic the owners? have done to this car. *Edit ORIGINAL 3UZ Huh, guess I was very wrong about that engine
Actually the content creator here got it incorrect the engine is original yes but the car care nut did replace the transmission with a low mileage unit from salvage yard
Sadly, the newer Lexus vehicles will not be as reliable as these. This was the golden age of Lexus when they were on mission. They were literally over-engineering their cars, similar to military standards on their vehicles
The Car Care Nut 600000 plus Lexus l did watch a couple videos on the restoration of this Lexus but although this Lexus is only 23 years old l am not surprised this Lexus still is very good and in Australia there are plenty of 20 to 30 year old Toyota's bean used as daily drivers l see them every day and the same goes for my 27 year old Hilux still use it to go to the shops ect
Considering that very few cars make it to that point, you can't really talk about typical. It may be more likely to but half a million miles is uncharted territory for most cars.
Man if it wasn't for the fuel consumption I'd kill for this as my daily. Only issue then would be all the cars in my stable would be automatic if I replaced my current daily.
My daily driver is a 2001 LS430 with 359k miles. I’m the original owner. On the highway, I get 25-29 miles per gallon! That’s right lane, keeping RPMs below 3,000.

The 2004 - 2006 model years were peak Lexus LS.
Reliability is awesome. With rountine maintenance, it could go another 600k miles.
My dream is to get a car like this at low mileage and drive it til I'm an old man.
Before I watch, I will be very impressed if that is the original 3UZ. I have read bad things about the 3UZ, and I am curious if that is true in this case. I loved the 2UZ in the Sequoia we had growing up. I have read that the 1UZ and 2UZ were practically bulletproof. I have personally worked on a 1st gen Sequoia with 400,000+ miles. Ours got to ~195,000 with very little problems (user error). I am very curious to see what magic the owners? have done to this car.
*Edit ORIGINAL 3UZ
Huh, guess I was very wrong about that engine
Actually the content creator here got it incorrect the engine is original yes but the car care nut did replace the transmission with a low mileage unit from salvage yard
@@jonathanratliff4780 still, I am impressed with the 3UZ after this video!
Sadly, the newer Lexus vehicles will not be as reliable as these.
This was the golden age of Lexus when they were on mission.
They were literally over-engineering their cars, similar to military standards on their vehicles
Lexus lx570 was the last gem from lexus
This Lexus is rebuilt to be like new by the Car Care Nut so it is essentially fully restored.
Cooled seats in 2001 is wild
0:10 Shouldve been driving that MR2 in the back
When in doubt, always drive the MR2.
Original head gasket?
I thought he put a used transmission in it? I think he also added the ventilated seats. The LS430 had available air suspension.
He did not add ventilated seats but the transmission was replaced yes
Mercedes likes to put any technology on their cars that is available no matter if they are reliable or not
the lexus from the toyota guruuuuu 🎉
I saw this car on the car care nut’s channel.
That LS430 looks shockingly nice for having 632,000 miles on it.
A ton of work has bed dumped into it
After $60k and countless hours of work, calling it a 600k mile Lexus is a little misleading. It is quite nice though.
Wow! Incredible! 😍😍
326k on my 06 Sienna, however Wisconsin wont let the body last much longer.
I really wonder how the pistons look after that many miles
Can you review a Toyota Prius v?
The Car Care Nutt... AKA "The Toyota Genie"
The engine on this car was never replaced?
I need that. Shift knob!!!!
Simply gorgeous!
HI ZACK! NICE LEXUS! Is it typical for a lexus to break down after 600K miles?
Considering that very few cars make it to that point, you can't really talk about typical. It may be more likely to but half a million miles is uncharted territory for most cars.
Man if it wasn't for the fuel consumption I'd kill for this as my daily. Only issue then would be all the cars in my stable would be automatic if I replaced my current daily.
My daily driver is a 2001 LS430 with 359k miles. I’m the original owner. On the highway, I get 25-29 miles per gallon! That’s right lane, keeping RPMs below 3,000.
@@dougk1115 that's highway miles combined it's more like 22 which is about as much as my Volvo wagon.
Well, at least nobody will mistake this for belonging to Freddy Hernandez/that other UA-camr he sold it to
Where do you drive to accumulate 600k miles? Nice ride.
I think the following generation was the prettiest of them all. The original generation is a close second.
I hope you tried the Mark Levinson sound system even though it doesn't have your fruit fone app it sounds amazing.
A 600k MILES sedan is BONKERS
Rebuilt by Ahmed
Is not the original transmission, i thought he changed it for a lower mileage transmission?? I remember that in 1 of the videos on this car
I have a 06 with 135k miles. I love it but I want to change the front bumper due to a crack on it. Anyone know where is the best place to start the look?
More then halfway to the millionth Mile.
