All the naysayers commenting…..clinching is part of every boxing fight….Paro has ringcraft,a true boxer,Matias doesn’t have decent footwork,can’t box at distance……..all will give Paro no chance in next fight again….get over it….he won easily
If you watch the fight, the ref was only looking at Liam Paro the entire time....every time he separated the fighters his eyes were only on Liam...really bizarre...never seen anything like it. Regardless, he overcame all the odds and exposed Matias' bad footwork with constant lateral movement. Easily the best performance by an Aussie boxer in 2024. ITS PARO TIME!!

Paro didnt win that fight, that is NOT how you take a champions belt especially in his hometown. Just because he held Matias to keep him from gettint stopped with bodyshots doesnt mean Matias wasn't still punching him. Plenty of times he punished Paro with power jabs and hooks to the side of the head. In majortiy of the exchanges Matias had the advantage, when Paro boxed an moved it wasnt sustainable before Matias got in on the inside to work the body. Paro's best rounds was early when Matias was getting warmed up. Sad people think a KO artists cant win a decision is so wrong. He outlanded Paro to the body and jabs and the power shots was nearly identical. How did Matias lose his belt like that!?

Paro out landed Matias significantly in 7 of the 8 rounds he won according to compubox. BTW punch stats show Paro landed 267 body shots and Matias 196, Paro landed 29 Jabs to Matias 20 and Paro landed 238 power punches to Matias 176.

I watched this fight instead of Davis or Benavidez. I actually scored this fight, and I am not saying Paro did not deserve to win, however that is not how I scored the fight. Paro was doing a lot of head butting as well as low blows, rabbit punches which the ref did not pull him on. Then go look at all the punch stats, that also says it all.

@@matthewburgess1406 Teo is definitely #1 he’s the lineal champion. At #2 Elvis Rodriguez he will beat Paro, Haney and Cruz 100%. At #3 I got Cruz and at #4 it’s a toss up between Garcia & Sandor Martin.
@@Cirearyk I don't know about Lopez yet we'll have to wait and see, they're all top contenders that's for sure but this was about the current champs. I put Paro second because he's the only one who's undefeated, Haney fourth cause his last performance against Garcia was pathetic and I put Lopez third because he lost to kambosos who isn't what I'd call an elite fighter.

The statistics that you are not talking about are the punch stats, Paro dominated Subriel in 7 of 12 rounds... Which would logically score the fight according to the rounds won by blows 114-113 in favor of Paro, if you saw it more closed than that you are blind... On the other hand, how dare you complain about the point that Pabón took from Paro, the guy was grabbing, he hit the back of the head more than 10 times, he was entering with his head, and he was pushing Subriel all night and they never called him out for it, while Subriel put up a completely fair fight... They shouldn't have taken away a point, they should have taken away 2 for the multiple fouls. Paro is a dirty fighter... Meanwhile, Subriel gave the strongest, most forceful blows, and put Paro in bad shape on several occasions... Paro won, but simply because Subriel gave away the first 4 to 5 rounds thinking that Paro would get tired and he would then execute his plan and his plan failed...
So because Paro executed his plan... And won... Convincingly.... But he cheated by executing the plan. Imagine if you were a judge 🤦♂️
@@oarsome81 entering with the head is illegal, blows to the back of the head are illegal, pushing is illegal, excessive gripping is illegal, one way is to execute your plan cleanly and another to fight dirty... The rules are there, if you don't know them, look for them. and read them to see if you learn more than simply being a casual fan.

Compubox had Paro winning 8 rounds. 3 of the 4 rounds Paro lost there was only 1-2 punch differences where as Paro out landed Matias significantly in the rounds he won.
Matias didn't throw much in first 4 rounds, he gives rounds away because he'd get tired otherwise. Paro belted him
