Lauffen am Neckar, Germany walking tour around hometown of Friedrich Hölderlin

Welcome to Lauffen am Neckar, or Lauffen.
Town is located in Heilbronn district on the river Neckar, around 9km from Heilbronn and is worth visiting, so if you are searching for a place to visit in Germany - put this one on your list. 4K video walk tour.
Lauffen am Neckar was founded in 1914 by merging two districts - Lauufen-Stadt and Lauffen-Dorf. The new town council marked the occasion by planting a lime tree in the terraced garden in front of the Pfalzgrafenburg castle. This tree stands opposite another lime at the Regiswindis Church on the other bank, the two trees thus symbolising unity.
Lauffen played crucial role in Thirty Years war being a scene of several battles and troop movements. During second world war the town suffered 37 air raids.
Lauffen am Neckar features a beautiful church, castle (which is currently a Rathaus) and some smaller buildings and areas of interest.
