This is so hilarious. The difference is Korosan told lui to call her that. Pekora on the other hand and even Subaru outright started calling her Korosan without warning hence the curious doggo.
True I think there's a raft collaboration where they decide to introduce themselves based on seniority and Korone is just waiting for whoever to begin when its actually supposed to be her
Gotta love when Pekora gets pressured by her senpai, like that time with Sora as well. LOL Korone and Lui-nee work off each other so well, I want to see more of them together!
new JP gen means more people for Korone to collab 1-on-1 with once, have absolutely banger chemistry together, cure depression with their laughter and fun antics, and then never collab again.
Korone has such a great way with people. She's incredible at matching energy with energy regardless of whatever way things go. This is a super cute example
I really like it when Korone’s kohai are able to call her “Koro-San” as it signifies that they’ve deepened their relationship and generally act more friendly around each other. It also doesn’t hurt that Korone is probably the JP member that I’d want to be friends with the most IRL with Lui also quickly rising in the ranks as she’s incredibly affable.
Gotta love when Korone feels like pressuring somebody on air. I remember when somebody subscribed to her, and she called the guy out and directly asked why.
This is one of the things I'm never gonna get used to in Japan. In my home country, everyone is on a first name basis with everyone (except the Queen I s'pose) else, from the moment they meet. Last names are basically purely there to differentiate between people who share a first name.
yeah when those different stages of formality aren't a thing in your own language and culture, I dont think you ever "get" it intuitively like a native. like you know whats going on in basic terms but its so nuanced at the interpersonal level, like what it really means between two people to change from one mode of address to another. and japan is so full of stuff like that. like the places youre supposed to sit in a room depending on where the door is and what the chairs are like, it all seems so weird and unnecessary. if you live there for years I guess you come to fully understand it.
@@-yeme- “Where you’re supposed to sit depending on where the door is” sounds like something borrowed from Feng Shui, because that’s actually a big rule in that practice as well.
I feel similar, while I do like the culture in many ways, even trying to learn the language, the honorifics always feel odd. They are just so formal. I can understand calling strangers or people at work "sir" "ma'am" (-san), but calling your friends, family, and someone you are in a relationship with that feels far too formal.
@@zyriantel9601 the way it was explained to me was something to do with samurai and assassins, if I remember right. it was a long time ago. but basically the samurai sat furthest from and facing the door, while his servants or bodyguards or whatever sat progressively further away from that top position, until the lowest ranking guy sat closest to and with his back to the door, so presumably he got stabbed first when the assassins arrived. then on top of that the most senior person is supposed to get the best chair, down to some poor scrub getting the little kids stool with the wobbly leg. how they work it out when those two things come into conflict, like the nicest chair being right by the door, idk. maybe they just dont set up rooms like that. also I got the feeling that while a lot of people still do it, its increasingly seen as an old fashioned or overly formal thing to insist on, as opposed to spoken honorifics which are still very much part of everyday speech.
Oh yeah this their first time Collab without any other member, I always thought Korone still angry with how Okayu Seduce Lui back in her and Miko new year stream.
Lui and Korone are so well-synced. It's like they put training into it. Meanwhile Pekora is a social disaster, as expected of the pox on society that she is.
Ah, yes, Korone; the master of putting people on the spot. Lol Reminds me of when she made a viewer extremely uncomfortable because she spent 5 minutes pestering them as to why they subbed. XD
As someone that didn't grow up with Japanese honorifics they are very odd to me, especially since I am a very casual informal person, they almost always feel exceptionally formal. It feels odd to me to call your friends, family, or even someone you are in a relations ship with "sir" "ma'am" (-san) though I know that isn't a direct translation. I think one of the reasons I like Korone is because she is quite informal with everyone, just using their given names (or well in this case made up given names) or giving everyone nicknames.
Not sure about JP, but I think Mumei answered this question sometime during the string of EN off collabs this summer. They call each other by their real names in private but come up with code names for when they're in public just in case.
Lui is a smooth operator while Pekora is just built to bully.
Smooooooooth operator, smooooooth operator
Lui's starting at the back of the grid because of engine penalties.
....oh, wait, wrong smooth operator.
Built to be bullied
"Should I tell them we had alcohol before this?"
"Oh wait I just did"
Such a Korone moment
Lui calls her Koro-san: Leads to teetee.
Pekora calls her Koro-san: PRESSURE
Perhaps Peccers is just really bulliable. Mr Koro smells weakness like a shark smells blood.
Clearly the trick is to get the doggo liquored up first.

Subaru is the senpai so that's normal I think
Did you forgot that subaru is gen 2 lol
@@chrisff1989 Subaru's case is more of close friend changing your nickname all of sudden which lead to Doog's pressuring for the reason.
Korone probably wanted to troll Pekora a bit, too.
Nah Korone 100% did that to tease Pekora
I always forget that Korone is senpai to ALOT of Hololive, she certainly doesn't act like it. Even Koro-san forgets sometimes
True I think there's a raft collaboration where they decide to introduce themselves based on seniority and Korone is just waiting for whoever to begin when its actually supposed to be her
And then you have Lui who apparently has such an Onee-san aura, that she got called "senpai" by a bunch of holomem already.
That “what’s wrong, Luiliu?” is so cute though holy shit
"I didn't mention it earlier because I wanted to ask you live on stream" absolutely savage lol
Lui has that senpai aura so its just natural even if she unintentionally be informal to her senpais
Gotta love when Pekora gets pressured by her senpai, like that time with Sora as well. LOL
Korone and Lui-nee work off each other so well, I want to see more of them together!
Lui called Koro-san
Korone: “Cute af”
Pekora called Koro-san
Koro: “Aren’t you introvert?”
Alternatively
When Lui says Koro-san: "Yo, wassup"
When Pekora does it: "Who are you and what have you done to Pekora! "
😂
Sasuga Korone Senpai! 🤣

Pekora may be a world renowned war crimminal, but she'll get shy around Ko'one.
Lui Lui sure is a smooth operator.
Or a smooth criminal

Koro-san definitely breaks the social etiquette which is so appealing especially to the Hey Guys Koronesukis
Gotta love when Korone feels like pressuring somebody on air.

Seeing the doggo and birb being good friends brings happiness to my soul. ❤️
Pekora's little inhale will always make me laugh
Koro-san sure has a type. 😂
Lui gives off similar vibes to Okayu. Not the same, but I think Lui could do a good Okayu impression if she tried.
I was thinking the same thing lol
Their voices matched so well in the Identity cover they performed together
Yea.
Lui feels like Subaru with Okayu's personality, to me.
If horror games didn't exist, Lui would be completely unbullyable.
She has such a mature, well-rounded persona while still being entertaining.
Korone, as usual, doesn't like formalities and the whole Senpai thing.
I Didn't noticed I was smiling the whole clip until my cheeks started to hurt lmao
Thanks for the TL!
Sasuga Lui-nee, she's smoother than butter

I absolutely believe that getting messed with by korone like that in person has to be one of the most memorable things any vtuber ever experiences.
Korone saw an opening to deal a critical hit with Pekochan XD
I sometimes forget that Korone is actually a senior. Somewhy, Pekora always seemed the final boss of Hololive.
Lui is always very easy to get along with anyone.

It’s great the Holo x exec is able to collab with her senpais fast. First with EN then with Ayame and now with Korone
You can tell how easy it is to be around Lui new by watching how fast Ojou got comfy with her.
Ayame never really get this comfy this fast.
War criminal rabbit actually panicked/stalled when asked that question? Thats news for me.
cute lui-nee and korone casually getting along with each other.
pekora and korone, i remember that time.
I love that small panic inhale Pekora often does
It's that tiny, sharp intake of breath that gets me.
Lui calling her Koro-san is very Okayu
Korone: We're this close (uses hands)
Lui: They can't see your hands.
Perfect Korone moment man.
It feels like Lui-nee and Korone is sharing the same braincells to each other in that stream, they really and nearly on sync.
koro-sensei 😭

Korone and Pekora does some like a rare combo, I want to see more now.

Korone learnt from the Pekora thing.
Either that or Korone just loves messing with Pekora.

Cute show thanks for the translations
I'm just saying, Koro-san has some really unique and catchy nicknames that she gives to people. Miko-miko, mio-sha, Lui-lui, Ayamaru for example

my favorite part: Peko-dessho?

Pekora is really cute and lui is smooth especially when going under the table 😂

The whole "lets collab lets collab" into "We never got around to it after so long" seems like a common problem with Korone (& tbh a lot of Hololive)
Even when Pekora's justified, she's still gotta get teased. That's just how it has to be. We don't make the rules man.
