- We spent the afternoon with our friends at @CogHillFarm to visit and pick up a pair of Serama chickens to join our new flock, but Marycarl had an extra special surprise for Eleanor!

MaryCarl has had some mentors and special benefactors - How wonderful she is willing and able to pass the torch down. How super great your daughter gets yo be a beneficiary. In a couple of years, it will be your daughter's turn to hand down a torch to the next generation herself.
She has and is so very generous with giving that love and care right back to others. Here parents have done, and continue to do, a wonderful job instilling love and kindness in her.
I'm another who has come visiting from Cog Hill. I am so happy to meet Eleanor. Her love for the birds is very evident. I will be a frequent visitor. Looking forward to seeing what y'all are doing.

Funny you mention that, Nugget is an absolute sweetheart, but Eleanor is intimidated by his size right now. We did say hello but curious Nugget decided he needed a drink from Eleanor's water bottle and she got scared.

Aww thank you. Predators can be an issue here too, but we delight in the knowledge that the birds get to enjoy their lives running around and finding yummy bug snacks

This was so sweet to watch. MaryCarl is so selfless and that little girl Eleanor is the sweetest loving and huggin on Snow and Cloudy. Perfect named for them for sure. Reminded me of Marycarl when she was a little girl like Eleanor and loved her Chicken named Penny which is where I think is where her love of birds and all things chickens started.

I kept banging my head on my desk trying to place the name "Eleanor". It wasn't until halfway through this video that I got it! Cross Timber Bison has a bison named Eleanor. Cross Timber Bison is Daniel of Arms Family Homestead's brother in law. Eleanor is a beautiful old world name. I'm thrilled to know old world names are coming full circle.
Oh yes! She loves her name too! We thought we might call her Ellie Grace, but Eleanor just fits her so well 😊
@@HeadFamilyFarm if my son had been a girl his name would've been Agatha Rayne. Joshua James is 30 now. I love old world names!
Head is not a very common surname. I've known of only two others, both truck drivers, Jeff and Stephen. Jeff passed away a couple of years ago but he left his mark. He was a beautiful soul. Eleanor and Mary Carl are already making a deep rut!
