1) forgot to say you can definitely build him as anemo swirl man on VV and EM/EM/EM which is fine but it's just bad sucrose
2) As usual I forgot our boy mika. He's a good alternative for furina teams as he provides attack speed. But his low cryo application makes me still prefer charlotte for freeze, and bennett otherwise. Still, he's comfier than bennett and doesn't have circle impact so he's still a solid option.
3) for vertical investment I forgot to give my overall ranking: faruzan C6 will usually mean you get C1 or C2 before going for a weapon anyway. Furina C1 and C2 are as usual more impactful than his own weapon or cons, but all are good upgrades to him it really depends on your other weapon options which is better for you. And obviously getting his own cons means you’ll be able to use him better in all teams not just Furina temas
In terms of clear times no his own cons actually do more even if a sheet says otherwise

I have a top 3 Persent wanderer but he cannot 36 star abyss because of recent abyss having anemo res what do I need to get him to clear abys I use Skyward atleast r2 c5 Bennet with aqula and C6 farzana please give me some tips I need them i am not sure about the 3 Rd member
@@Justkazugaming yea you wanna use xiangling or Thoma for the abyss blessing and if you have it, a c6 Jean more FIRST SIDE.
For second side simply using a Furina Faru Bennet will work you just gotta bear with the lectors being annoying.
@@Justkazugaming This abyss is very difficult with Wanderer. Try Bennett + Xiangling with another Anemo VV user and for the other team use hyperbloom (Xingqiu helps a lot versus Icewind Suite). Maybe you have to rotate the teams and clear every chamber separately.

Glad someone is actually talking about his overworld value. It's hard for me to care about pulling for characters just for abyss anymore because of the 2 week reset and it's still just 20-30 mins of barely challenging content at best (especially if you're a long time player).
This abyss us hard couldn't 3 stars the ast floor and I have everything 😢😢😢

Also don’t give your supports the same support artifacts cos it won’t stack.
Try to keep 4 pc Instructors if you utilize reactions a lot, it’ll help so much. Benny can use it and you can give one of your sub DPS 4 pc Noblesse instead
For me, overworld value is also pretty insignificant. There's so little worth doing in Genshin once your account reaches a certain point, so there's little reason to do the overworld. So when there is so little, I don't mind it taking a little bit longer before I'm all out of things worth doing again. And like with the Abyss, once your account reaches a certain point, you will also already have what you need for overworld reasons anyway. Not really worth spending primos on.
Of course, when you're at that "mature account" point, the guides shouldn't matter anymore. You just get whatever you think will be fun.
hoyo should have constellation switch (on/off), that'll make content creators more relatable to their audiences..

Yeah, it's weird that Honkai Impact 3rd lets you turn off some of the characters' kits, but neither of the newer games let you.
Both games also have Constellations/Eidolons that even a regular player would want to turn off for some encounters.
(Genshin has Bennett's famous C6, and in HSR, I want to turn off Serval's E1 if the enemy has a counterattack.)
Dont care even if he was the worst dps ever I just need him for a fun and realxing exploration . Lost 50/50 on his last 2 banners but not gonna happen this time
same here F*** the meta. I mean sure neuvi ,arle, hutao,raiden, ayaka are really strong but their gameplay gets boring fast, i always keep coming back to scara after pulling a new character and in the end its absurd to play just for damage in a game with no end game content at all

My boy is so demanding. Got his sig in a lucky first 10-pull and I thought that would be enough. I was wrong. Got him c6 Faruzan and c2, he still wants more. Been farming for 8 months to get perfect stats, 2700 atk, 70/180. It's not enough.
How does he compare to neuvillette with similar investment levels?
@@ABC-yj6cy C2R1 Neuvillette is much better, and it's not close for a multitude of reasons: he uses the MH set (efficient domain), he's a lot tankier since he's hp scaler, more AoE, easy to play, interruption resistance at c1, more dmg at c2, possible to reach 300% cdmg with sig, access to dendro reactions.
... And I still prefer Wanderer because I like his character and playstyle, but neuv is just broken.
you really need to get that 200 crit dmg for him to actually feel stronk

The only reason why I’m subscribed to jelloimpact is he speaks clear and straightforward without sugar coating anything. That gives new player like me a clear idea without having confusion and dilemma.
Wanderer is my most used character. In Overworld and in Abyss when clearing floors 9-11. It is nice to have a character like him that has very good tracking and is ranged. I highly recommend building at least 1 long range dps character. He will make certain fights so much easier because there are quite a few enemies that like to fly around or move all over the place and Wanderer does not care about them like the sea horse, the Thundering Manifestation, or Wolflord. Among the long range dps characters I find him the most flexible because of his good tracking and decent AoE. Well ever since Neuvillette came out Wanderer lost some importance in that regard.
I’ve been a Wanderer main at early gameplay and I was really grateful how helpful he was in overworld and story quests. One thing to note about Scara’s flight is that you can hover over with precise. Imagine you have to jump to a small mid-air platform and if you miss the target you will fall off. Flight is a very OP mechanic and if the game gave Scara too much flight all the gameplay will be too trivialized (well he already is, like the post jumping time challenge in Chenyu vale.) He’s the most useful in spying the out-of-bound exploration too. I think there’s no one else going to power creep his flight ability anytime in the future.
Although I do wish he has more power and agree to achieve that I really hyper invested him leaving all my other characters under-built. So when I first played abyss I had the problem I had no decent team for the other half. I find it nice he doesn’t need grouping and you don’t really need to worry positioning enemies because his auto attacks are super easy to use. I plan to learn to dodge so I can play him without shielder but having shielder is just so comfortable. I don’t mind not finishing enemies in 1 rotations with him, you can just slap fast cooldown/less energy hungry supports with Zhongli and just repeat his rotations as much as needed.
I don’t have C6 Faruzan so I haven’t been playing him with her but I plan to get C1-C2 Wanderer so I’m eventually getting her C6 soon. But just C0 Wanderer is pretty much enough to trivialize most of the game content. He’s also a character you can rename which is cool detail but I wish we can rename him more than twice.
Anyway, thanks for the updated guide. I really enjoyed Jello vocalizing how he hates Wanderer’s design. A true Scara simp will enjoy being insulted lol. I think he’s the only character you can do this but he does have a lot of sensitive fanbase and haters.
I love it when he pulls down his eye and sticks out his tongue. I find it super cute. But i don't have him. I have xiao, jean, xianyun, kazuha. And xiao is tooo hard to play. With my skill issue, lack of resins and atrocious luck with artifacts, I doubt I'll be able to get him to be decent. I'm happy with my navia/zhongli, can't even dodge a slime gameplay 🥳
@@littlepawML I’m a dedicated Wanderer main and I live for every moment my boy’s “Bleh” His artifacts (Desert Pavilion Chronicles) is not easy to farm. It took me months till I got satisfied with the stats although I still think it could be better. But Wanderer + Zhongli is no-brainer play. But just like Jello said, he rewards at high investment. I do still recommend him to anyone even he’s not the best f2p friendly DPS, maybe one day you will use him for hard to reach places in overworld or quests.
Do you have him with his signature weapon? I really want to pull for his weapon in 4.6 phase 2. But I dont know, I need something to make sure (i'm not really a whale, so i need to be careful pulling for weapon banner)
@@bluesamurai127 Hi Bluesamurai, I'm a Wanderer main and I just run him with the Widseth. It works fine. Whatever you put on him, make sure to level it up to the max, both his weapon and his artifacts. He's power-hungry but the high investment really does pay off.

Jello impact I know you are biased, but wanderer is the exploration archon, his elemental skill has a really short cooldown which is very valuable than any other exploration character so hear me out
- when approching for example a Leyline I am always hesitant to use yelan's skill to go faster(C0) because after that I have to wait for yelan's cooldown and as in general we start rotations most with yelan it feels bad to wait around or mess around.
- but with wanderer you can start to dish out damage or start your rotation and by the time you are back on him you can use his skill again (as wanderer is the last in a rotation)
Lastly call me skill issue but skipping puzzles or domains with him is so OP
Flying is also as fast as running, so you can basically run all the time, because during flying his stamina is recovering. Maybe not as fast as Yelan, but still faster than walking. And you can cheat many puzzles or challenges. My daily artifact tour would take so much longer without Wanderer.

I remember being annoyed I had to do a full 150ish pulls to get Wanderer back on his premier banner... but that also got me C6 Faruzan so in retrospect it was for the best. The difference she makes is huge. He's one of if not the best open world characters as well.

I've only been playing for one and a half years he's my first triple crown. I have c6 farazan. He's using r5 widsith, and his signature artifacts. He's c0 and he still feels perfect.
I'm pulling for biazhu as soon as the banner changes. I have 155 wishes saved. When I get him I will stop pulling because the rest is going toward the pyro archon.

My favorite Wanderer Faruzan Furina team is with Jean C2. Once Jean’s speed buff activates, it’s so much fun and sometimes freezes activates when Jean swirls Cryo from the enemies

Wanderer ist one of my most used characters in terms of casual useage, because hes just amazing for overworld exploration. My main exploration team is: wanderer yelan kazuha and benett. The team clears everything overworld related and has tons of movement. I can only recommend getting him

As a 'hypercarry' arlecchino felt the most rewarding. When it comes to having 3 characters on the team to solely buff one character, she's had the most 'this was a great idea' sensation so far both in overworld and abyss.
Eula was very very close for me but her "for the sake of her ult" playstyle was what bummed me. Especially when her autos are insane too. But yeah in a team with just supports doing barely any damage, arlecchino has felt the best.

Faruzan does a ton of damage on her own and her burst should absolutely be crowned if you care about Wanderer/Xiao. Her skill too, but to 9, as it's constantly popping off during her burst at C6. Before that the skill is not a big deal. If you have Elegy, give it to her. Before C6 a Favonius Bow with Exile set, preferring an ER sands is enough ER and does a lot of heavy lifting.
6:00 Disagree, he's still valuable even at mid investment. His overworld traversal is extremely useful and while you're doing so he's highly suited to taking out random enemies you encounter as he doesn't really require setup. You don't need to spend his burst or apply elements on the enemy. Just pop your E and attack, attack, attack.
11:00 I mean you can run Wanderer+Yelan+Xianyun+Dehya/Rosaria/Chiori just fine. I've recently replaced Yelan with Arlecchino. You get Anemo Resonance and they all have stellar movement abilities that all work generically and in some niche scenarios slightly better than each other. Wanderer is best for going across Chasms. Xianyun is great for quickly going up short hills or walls while moving forward. Yelan has great ground movement and works well going up slopes. Arlecchino is better than Yelan at that and great going across water as long as she doesn't end in the water. If she would, Wanderer is the best second since Xianyun gets less distance. Wanderer is also good for sliding up mountain slopes, way better than climbing. You'll also get Xianyun Glide speed passive from all this. With your 4th being a Move Speed character, it makes all this better and does make a difference, I've tested it. It applies to the unique movement abilities.
Im gonna get him in this run since i have faruzan c5 and think i can get the last con this time, cant wait!

As a Wanderer main I can say, that his main problem is that he doesn't have a proper weapon. That's a bigger issue than get hit during his skill, because you can cancel the falling animation with the jump button. But Widsith feels bad in the abyss during the 20s cooldown, his signature weapon doesn't support charged attacks, and Wriothesleys weapon basically needs Furina if you use a shielder. Currently I use Skyward Atlas, but the damage isn't overwhelming and the crit build is difficult. Layla works very well with him. Her shield is always available as soon as Wanderer's skill is over. And her off-field cryo application is more consitent than Diona's.
his sig is built for his c6. so u really wont see much of a difference until you c6 him.
I mean if you get C1 R1 with DPC you already have 30 attack speed and at that point there is no need to do CA. Just spam N3C
You can always try Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds, it's his third, or second best weapon (If Wanderer C2) ^^

20:55 You can vertically invest with Nilou teams as well , in terms of constellations. I still destroy AoE abyss rooms with C2R1 Nilou and C2R1 Nahida.
I’m really impressed of how that investment holds up in 2024.
In certain scenarios, my Nilou clears faster than my C3R1 Neuvillette with C2R1 Furina. Depends on the mobs lineup.
In perfect AoE scenarios, when mobs stack on top of each other, Nilou is still the best, in my opinion, even at C2-C3 investment.
I can't wait to hear about your Ayaka team! I don't have Shenhe or Ganyu so I feel like I was never able to make the most of her.

I got him for exploration on his first banner to get the sumeru dessert 100% and I don't regret it one bit. Best exploration character still imo and he has a fun playstyle.
I don't have him to hit high numbers, I don't even really like his personality, he's still level 86 on my account, but I still think he's worth it just to make exploration easier. If you build him just a bit he can hit high numbers and be an amazing asset in the overworld. For abyss he's also fun, however I obviously don't bring him into chamber 12, but as stated in the video he's definitely capable of that if you hyperinvest.
I genuinely couldn't recommend him more, just for qol alone.

What I really wish wanderer did with his dash, is at the end of his elemental skill, all the momentum he had built up carried over and made him dash forward (if he's sprinting in the air). Stopping mid flight and falling down just feels bad
The thing about hypercarries in Genshin is that they have a higher investment to build, but when built up with their supports optimized, they are some of the easiest gameplay for high dps clears.
What I mean is that a lot of quickswap or driver esque teams requires them to be built on rotation and it's easy to mess up that timing during combat. A small rotation mistake and you lose dps as a result. While in hypercarry, the gameplay is super simple. Just pop all your support's skills/bursts, then swap into your hypercarry to deal dps for like 15 seconds, then repeat. Very easy gameplay wise, very high damage if you have a well built team along with the hypercarry's stats. You don't have to worry about rotations and swapping mistakes are minimal with how easy it is to do the hypercarry setup.
That's team dependent. My two Abyss teams are Dehya, Kuki, Fischl, and Nahida on one side, Yae, Furina, Navia, and Chiori on the other. Neither team cares about rotation. Neither team cares about grouping or positioning much. Neither team is worried about energy management. The Dehya team also doesn't care what enemies do, as Dehya will just shrug it all off. So for both teams, just do whatever, and things die. Both teams have heavy application of 3 elements, and damage also spread across those 3 elements, so while which goes top or bottom might swap, the team line ups don't have to, because Dehya+Nahida can take down the Thunderbird easy even without Kuki and Fischl contributing any damage. And these are basically the teams I've been running since Dehya's release (the Yae team was Yae, Kokomi, Collei/Yaoyao, and Sucrose, which still had much of the same properties, but evolved to its present much nastier form over time).
Most hypercarries need their rotations, are worried about things like fully utilizing Benny burst, making sure their burst is available at the end, and so on. what to swirl with Kazuha, and so on.
@@Axterix13 Usually, hypercarries by the time they are done being on the field, the entire team is ready for their bursts/cooldowns to be done. It's a very basic strategy that has very little thought behind the rotation since everything is ready by the time your hypercarry is done doing their dps.
On the topic of hypercarries, I don't think making them shine is that difficult. While it's definitely true that Bloom teams are cheaper to build overall, all the other are more or less of a similar cost. If you're making a non-hyper team with the damage spread between different units, that actually means you have to build all of them properly, which is not cheap at all. With your hypercarry, you do want to get him the best artifacts you can, but a lot of their supports are very cheap to build as a compensation, both their talents and their artifacts.
I think it is very character dependent, and partially perspective based. With a couple of caveats a C6 four star is a C6 four star. However, the cost of, say, a Faruzan or Gorou tends to be higher for two reasons. First, if you are getting them to support one character, then essentially that character is responsible for the entire investment. A more universal support you use across multiple ones, conversely, is a more efficient use of resources. Second, how those niche supports are often tied to a limited selection of character's banners. This is painful for, say, a player who would rather have another character rather than an Itto constellation, but wants Gorou for his Itto.
And yeah, different characters require different levels of investment. Chev, for example, is relatively cheap if you don't care about her damage, while Benny can be pricy, if you want high hp for his healing, all the energy regen he wants, and a high attack buff. And the same sort of thing applies to artifacts. Dehya (who is not a hypercarry, and also not a DPS) is painful to farm for, because the set is only good for her, and the other set is also not desirable for most players. Raiden is much less painful, because lots of characters want Emblem, often with different main stats on the pieces, and the other set has greater value as well. So while, at face value, building just Dehya or Raiden is the same, in practical terms, from an account perspective, one is way more expensive than the other.
@@Axterix13 yes, some hypercarries are more "demanding" than others to invest in, but most of them use the same pool of popular supports, so we're not giving up that much to make their teams. Only a few hypers want a very niche support, which is still optional, but I'd say that Faruzan and Gorou stand out as exceptions who are at the higher end of investment for hypercarries because of their constellations. Most other supports are not that niche or that expensive or even that necessary. Btw, even Gorou and Faruzan can be played before C6... maybe not Faruzan ideally, but certainly the likes of Gorou, Sara, Chevreuse, Yunjin, Mika, all can be used before C6 no problem, not to mention the generalists like Bennett, Sucrose, Xingqiu, etc. And then there are the 5 stars that people usually pull for who are also cheap to build as supports for hypercarry, like Kazuha, Nahida, Baizhu, Xianyun, Zhongli etc.
As for your second point, honestly, I don't think Benny is expensive to build at all since the only substat he's looking for is ER. What's more artifact-intensive to build, Benny or Xiangling? Well, the subdps is more difficult, of course, and that counts for all of them. And like supports, many subdpses are also constellation reliant, like Xiangling herself.
As for the building process of hypercarries, most of them have good options with generalist sets if you don't want to farm their signature when it's inefficient. You mentioned Dehya, for example, and Emblem is actually her BiS. A lot of hypers who do vape/melt damage can use Gilded Dreams. Wanderer uses Shimenawa. Arlecchino uses Gladiator. Navia uses Golden Troupe. Xiao uses Marechausse. Ganyu uses Wanderer's Troupe. Etc. And some signatures are already in efficient domains.
@@lucasfmhomem Benny can vary. Like for use with Furina, people want to amp up his healing, while still keeping his ER. Then there teams he wants Noblesse for, and others where he wants something like Instructor's. Mind you, he's passable by just picking one set and sticking with it, but he's one of the characters, like Raiden, like Dehya, where the team comp will change what the best set to use is.
And it isn't just Gorou and Faruzan. It's also Mika (although, he is lackluster even at C6 without Furina in the mix) and Sara (without C6, just play Benny). Yun Jin is pretty much always outclassed by Benny, even at C6. She's more of a play for fun character than a META choice. And yeah, Chev is fine if you just want the resist debuff and some healing. But the thing with those characters is that they are characters that, if they are what you choose to use to support that one hypercarry, you now have to build, when you could otherwise have neglected them. And while this isn't an issue for an older account, it does hamper a newer one more.
Emblem isn't Dehya's best in slot once you have some cons on her. Still close though. And while it isn't worth farming for most people, because lack of those cons, how close it is, and the old "How much do you need to farm before you get pieces good enough to warrant swapping over?" question, that doesn't change that people do just that.
And, sure, people could just treat the hypercarry like some four star they got along the way. Toss on some stuff they have and call it good. Not what they tend to do, though. In part because they are invested in the character (else they wouldn't have spent primos on them). Added to that, such teams tend to encourage a bit of hyper-investment, because it lets you use the team in situations that are a bit less favorable to your limited damage-source/type team. People want their character to shine.
@@Axterix13 We can always minmax our characters to squeeze out more damage and make them shine, which will make any team more expensive resin-wise and even primogem-wise, of course. However, that doesn't mean building these teams should be that expensive at a baseline, which is the point of discussion here. One thing is the fact that people enjoy hyperinvesting into their favorites, but the other thing is believing that only after hyperinvestment your hypercarry can perform well in Abyss, which is not true at all (unless it's a bad character like hyper Amber). Building your National team or whatever other non-hyper team demands as much investment as a hypercarry team to meet the minimum requirements (the exception being Bloom teams, as I mentioned before). But if at the extreme we have a player who got Dehya's C4 and now wants to farm her signature set instead of Emblem just because it's a tiny bit more optimal, that's their choice, which doesn't mean that farming for Dehya should be this inefficient since Emblem is always perfectly fine on her from C0 to C6.
About Bennett, as I said before, the only SUB-stat he needs is ER, but you can give him the MAIN stats of your choice, be it a healer build or a damage build, or even nothing at all, which makes him very flexible to perform well at low investment. Beyond that, it's just minmaxing, like farming multiple sets for different teams, or giving him juicy crit stats, etc. As for the other supports you've mentioned, most of them are fine at earlier constellations, even the like of Sara (her C2 makes her good already). Anyway, one of my points is precisely that most of these niche supports are optional for your hypercarries instead of a necessity. For example, you don't need to build Yunjin, but if you want to pair her with Yoimiya or Wanderer, that's fine too. The same is true for Sara, and for Mika, etc, etc, etc. The exceptions to the rule seem to be Gorou and Faruzan, who are more necessary than usual, but Gorou at least is good at C0, which makes Faruzan the most inconvenient case in the entire game. Overall, building your hypercarries shouldn't be that much of a hassle.
Bro i love this videos, hearing you talk about the game like this is really educational. Its really interesting to hear how investment changes how powerful a character/team is compared to other teams/char. My question is can "high investment", that makes a hypercarry do same/better than hyperbloom or other teams, be achievable F2P, like without 5 star weapons and constellations. Do you need 40 CV or 7-8 substats on every artifact to be considered high investment? What is considered high investment.

The closest thing to a definition of artifact investment I know of would be the KeqingMains Compendium: KQM Standards. It assumes at least 20 substats + 2 per substat type rolled the way you want. (If you had all 3-substat artifacts to start with, you'd need the artifact to start with or roll into a stat you want a little over half the time, along with having the correct main stats and set). You can argue that exceeding KQM Standards is high investment if you like.
The other investment bar I saw was for speed run "cost", as how many 5 star constellations, 5 star weapons, or battle pass weapons/refinements you bring. (although speed run "cost" totally ignores artifacts and Gacha 4 star weapons, so you can expect a lot of the more amazing looking showcases have years old accounts with high end artifacts and high refinement 4 star weapons)

I wouldn't say free to play and lacking weapons and constellations are the same thing. In the "If you have these 5-Stars you BEAT THE GAME" video of this channel, it discussed a free to player over a year of gameplay can get enough pulls for ten 5 stars at C0. If 36 stars in the Abyss ASAP is more important to you than character variety or playing a favorite who isn't S-tier, you'll likely want that C1 Neuvilette or C2 Nahida even if it means coping with the starter team for a while waiting for that banner.
(I did an alt account of starter C0 team, 3 star weapons only. It was an eating contest to do weekly bosses and local legends but all overworld was doable.)

Personally I don't have any well built hypercarry (because I like quick-swap over long on field time), but each of my teams that isn't hyperbloom needed three crowns of insight and a crit stat line like 60/120 on the damage dealers for me to see similar clear times in a "neutral" Abyss 12 floor compared to the hyperbloom. That said my hyperbloom team is a bit higher than a thrown together team because I have a Flower of Paradise Lost set with additional HP and EM rolls for my Shinobu and around KQM standards on my C6 Xingqiu.
Doing some of my amateurish calcs for it, perfectly played C0 Kuki hyperbloom (the hyperbloom damage only) is around 34k DPS of hyperblooms. (8x2 missiles for 32k damage every 15 seconds).
To beat that using 4 star weapons only on greedy hypercarry characters, you're likely looking at multiple crowns of insight used in your team (e.g. Bennett burst, Furina/Yelan burst, and whatever your carry uses to deal damage are all crowned) and your artifacts are nearing that KQM investment with half your substats favourable and not over-capping a stat.

I started playing the game just as Inazuma was first released, and my first 5 star was Ayaka (C0, and still is). Maybe it's because of how nuts she was just compared to the beginner characters I had, but I primarily used her with 4 piece Gladiator and more of a normal attack DPS than a burst DPS and she still worked wonders. She's not as good now because I don't have any constellations or 5 star weapon for her, but she still does well, though my bar for that may be lower than that of people getting 36 stars in the abyss every week
Best wanderer team (As a 1+ year wanderer main)
- wanderer 4pc DPC, Skyward Atlas.
- faruzan(C6), 4pc ToM, Fav(or any other weapon if you don't need energy)
- furina (your typical build)
- Mika/Charlotte on Noblesse
- i prefer mika more, as atk speed is very good on him and provides a significant dmg increase, you can check out on youtube it a very big increase (also is a lot of fun)
- charlotte has more healing in one tick but mika also has healing overtime
- more atk speed means more is A2 passive activates so no problem in dodging
- I use the new event weapon on mika which easily solves his energy requirements
- Charlotte is only better with high CONS and with TTDS against freezable opponents otherwise she is a bit hard to build and mika is way comfy
- And mika also easily provides his crit cryo buff just don't use wanderer's burst 1st as you will lose the cryo aura
I’ve had wanderer since day 1 and the team I’ve loved the most so far is wanderer, c6 faruzan, furina and mika. The physical buff is useless, but the ask speed makes wanderer machine gun and the healing is really good with furina.

Constelations / Artifact sets available and their quality / Which support units are _actually_ built? / Controller? Gamepad? Touchscreen? / Yadda yadda...
...Even _when_ they started playing changes things a lot, as it determines how much resin they had available since then and where they've spent it, what units they had available on the banner at which they ended burning all of their exploration _Freemogems,_ if they were around for X or Y event that gave this or that character *(or limited time weapon)* for free... Also, pretty much _no one_ has farmed domains like the *Crimson Witch* one since forever now, and even the _Tenacity_ and _Noblesse_ sets end up neglected by people that started more recently and only _Strongbox_ 'em while also going for better rolls on "stronger" stuff like _Emblem_ and _Viridescent_ pieces... *_Indeed,_* for characters that need to squeeze every bit of investment available on their teams in order to shine, and the average player jumps between the sets and characters of the current patch - "half-assing" all of their builds (unless RNGezus blesses 'em), accounts built for showcases end up looking _way above average_ even if it's not the creator's intent... even the _"80% of their potential"_ showcases done by, say, *iWTL,* end up being _beyond average_ due to the accumulated *rotation / mechanics knowledge* and *muscle memory for execution!* Theorycraft in this community started with the likes of Keqing, FFS! (which is quite mechanically intensive to combo properly for a non-connoisseur - even more in a world where Neuvilette spin-to-win exists), so... yeah: it's a pain to take everything into consideration. xD

Itto. I pulled for him because I like his personality and his English VA. He is ok if he is properly built and played. He becomes so much better with signature weapon and Chiori (with signature weapon) and is so fun to play with.
raiden is so valuable for my account, she works as a hyper as first, but now she's in arlecchino overload, hyperbloom and any other team that has energy issue. i love having her in arlecchino team, when arle hp is down or not ready, i just burst her and everything's fixed

I got Wanderer on his first run as a brand new player who hadn't even been playing that long when his banner dropped. He is my first limited character, but it took me ages to build him somewhat decently because while I have a soft spot for the brat he is not my favourite character and I figured out pretty quickly getting hit in mid-air felt terrible, so I put him on the back burner till I got Zhongli. I still have a soft spot for him, but I feel I have not invested properly in him to get the biggest bang for my buck. Once I get Furina he is definitely on the list of characters I will start working on

@@zhongcena Wanderer's fly speed is buffed by move speed, and honestly it seems to increase faster than land speed does. Anemo resonance is already huge with him, but adding in all the others makes him zoom at supersonic speed.
I dont have Thoma or Leyla for shielding and Im playing on mobile so dodging is quite a challenge. Im thinking about using Bennet + Dehya / Xingqiu would it be good enough not to feel like a pingpong ball ? And how good is C6 Bennet pyro infusion + Xingqiu burst?

I love Wanderer. 90% of the time my main team for him is Kazuha/Venti, Faruzan, and Diona.
It’s just really effective and a short rotation team. If abyss gets crazy then yeah I will grab Zhongli and Bennett but after investing in him I tend to find the Anemo team is cozy thanks to their own investment as well. Even before C6 Faruzan but she DEFINITELY helps.

i got faruzan c5 over the course of this banner (had her c1 before) and decided to spend a little to attempt wanderer, turns out i got him and faruzan c6 within 20 pulls from that and today the 5 wishes of the monthly reset brought his signature home :)
didn't plan to get the brat, but the brat chose me, at the end of the day. baizhu and wanderer + his weapon in a single banner means i probably spent all my luck for the rest of fontaine and will risk furina pulls, but since my artifact luck is almost negative to balance it, who knows!
So I think heizou is plenty fun and for that reason I’m going to spam one of these banners for more faruzan constellations, but I am unfortunately close to pity so which of these two would be better to use… some time in the future. Wanderer looks like super fun to use but I have more than enough dps units. I always welcome another healer as I prefer it to shielding, also for overworld exploration I generally enjoy being topped off at all times, however I already have yaoyao who fills that Dendro healer niche quite well. Any suggestions welcome
I really enjoy watching your videos, even if I can't put a lot of info from them into practice... I would love if you could at some point make a video or a guide about potential good units and teams for people who struggle with bad ping and lag. I play on NA server because that's where my friends are, but I actually live in Europe. That and my average internet quality means my ping is always around 170+ ms, but can go into 200+ as well. It's near impossible for me to do proper rotations and combos with my teams because the game regularly fails to respond to my commands or does so with delay, and I often have to mash buttons to change characters and use skills.
There's definitely characters and teams that are easier or harder to play in such conditions (as quick examples, Neuvillette is definitely nice and comfy, while Arlecchino was a bit of a struggle for me until I got her C2 which made timing easier). I don't know if you have a way of emulating bad ping for yourself, but maybe you just have enough knowledge to be able to simply tell which characters would be recommended for bad ping players, and which are likely to just not work very well. Obviously I kind of just accept that I might simply not be able to always 36* the Abyss in my conditions, but it would be great to know which charas to aim for and which to avoid.
Ive been starting to enjoy Wanderer, Furina, Layla and c6 Jean/ wanderer freeze team, it’s not as strong as the c6 Faruzan team but it’s also strong and fun
i use all 3 in the overworld (c1 yelan + xianyun, wanderer) and it makes world traversal very quick.
as an aside, i think the hypercarry list makes sense, but i would place raiden in the same tier as wanderer as a hypercarry when shes at least c2 since by that point she deals the most damage in her teams usually
Actually leveling burst on faruzan Is important because she gives anemo dmg bonus depending on its lvl
2 weeks late but sticking him on Maracheussy with Neuvillette's weapon in a Furina team is a hell of a thing.
these days i play him with faruzan (c6) mika and furina, but before i got faruzan c6, i played yelan in that slot for extra dmg buffs and not-negligible sub-dps damage. hydro resonance buffed yelan/furina as well as amp'd mika's healing with it. it's a solid substitution on the way to c6 for those who have her, cuz after playing trying to make c2 faruzan work was too frustrating, even at 300% er :/
raiden was my first 5 stars i got her a year ago she was mid i just used her skill then overloaded with yanfei, as a beginner does, then switched her to a hyperbloom trigger, the last abyss cycles tho i tried her chevreuse teams she was descent but nothing special, untill i gave her a serious strong build and now after an entire year she became one of the strongest characters on my account
I pulled for Wanderer in 3.8.For a long time i have been a huge Wanderer stan and LOVE him as much as the next person but with the advent of OP Fontainian 5 stars, he's difficult to 36 star the abyss even with a low investment hyperbloom team on the other side.He's on 5pcDPC 95/197 1700 atk,125 er,10 10 8,Lost prayer,in a Faruzan c0(lvl 9 burst), Bennett and Zhongli team.The thing is he NEEDS higher investment in pulling Faruzan C6 which on the way gets you C2/3.But i didn't save many wishes as i was guaranteed so i got no copies of Faruzan on the way.In short,pull for him if you really like him, he's the best character for exploration PERIOD,but has trouble clearing the abyss at c0 with less investment.

You said the problem with hyper carries is that when you’re first playing them they don’t feel good. I’ll offer what I like about the same thing. Improvement in this scenario is very linear. It’s easy to measure how much better a team is doing because I can just say oh my Noelle is dealing this much more damage on her normal attack string per hit, or my Ganyu is hitting more of her melts or her charged shot bloom hits for this much damage. It scales up in a way that’s very clear and consistent, which gives me more happiness for playing it.
In contrast I find that it’s kinda murky to tell whether or not 19:22 this row of reaction-dependent carries with more of a damage spread is doing better damage. I like Yoimiya and Hu Tao well enough (the new factor in play after all is just Xingqiu’s Q sword hits) but the rest confuse me. Am I upping team damage for International/Rational if I level my Xiangling, or is it more efficient to focus on polishing Childe/Raiden? If my rotation gets thrown off, who should I focus on buffing/setting up for massive damage? Is it okay if I didn’t get my XL Q off on time, or will it screw over Raiden’s entire damage window? Ughhh I hate it!! Give me my sweet simple sweat and tears hypercarries!!

I absolutely agree that hypercarries perform depending on the investment and that’s not easy for newer players. The amount of investment should definitely be considered when making any tier list

As a Wanderer main, he doesn’t need his BiS artifact. Shime would be better and resin efficient especially at C0-C1. Just burst when available. Also, you want to spam normals if you have his weapon.
What you actually need for him is high investment Faruzan, Bennett, and any sub DPS or shielder (preferably Thoma, Zhongli, Layla)
For my part, please rate them at high investment with the disclaimer during the video! I want to know the peak I can get out of a character, or close to it. I think that the ceiling of a character is more important than the floor, because I just don’t think it’s right to rate a character down because they need a bit more work to make them shine.
Genuine question - do Wanderer and Baizhu have any synergy? Just thinking for a Wanderer with the Furina + Baizhu core (+ Faruzan obvs), especially with Baizhu’s shield?

I disagree with the other two. I run Baizhu with Wanderer about 90% of the time. It's really comfortable, with combined heals and shields in one character. The only exceptions are that I usually use Jean with Wanderer in the abyss so Baizhu can go on the other side with the other team. In the overworld, however, it's always Baizhu w/ Wanderer, all the time.
(Do note, however, that any strong healer will work. Kokomi is really good with Wanderer, for example. I just don't have her so Baizhu is my go-to guy.)

Xiao was my first limited 5*, and while I now love love love playing him (with R1, C6 Furina, Furina, Xianyun...), I feel like he was a bad start. I didn't understand energy or have any good weapons so he felt dreadful to play - essentially a white tassel physical DPS without Bennett. Investing changed so much
I never play Wanderer in Abyss, but I have plenty of other characters I can play in Abyss, so I don't mind. His ease of use and fun in the overworld can't be beaten, so to me he's worth the pull just for that.
you should of mentioned that if you use furina with wanderer, cashflow is the most satisfying weapon (and can be better than his sig, depends as you said) to use on him. it lets you be able to switch to CA spamming in aoe without the dps loss youd get from using the bell, and also letting you do his normal NA spam (but can better than his sig). if you ever get annoyed about not having a weapon that fixes the switching between his two playstyle issues, cashflow with furina is your best bet
in my opinion, u could do 2 versions of tierlists, one where u have each character ad mid level investment with c0 and another with high investment and c6 for everyone.
Wanderer needs a tailored made buffer of normal attacks who also has a shield and if possible some healing. While ZHONGLI is great he doesn’t bring many buffs apart from the 20% shred. The buffer should also be a pyro, hydro, cryo element so wanderer can benefit with his skill.

I take a stat goblin over a character that wants 5* constellations. Scara is the kind of chara that makes me want to commit to the game, increase his power level, farm more, and he's a blast in the overworld.
Which can't be said for many hypercarries out there, especially early Genshin ones.
For the rest the "issue" with Hypercarries is when they're paired with characters that don't do enough and/or have shitty personal dmg. And truth be told Scara is flexible enough in term of teams to be played as a driver and still have decent performances.
My real issue with Scara is how he's walled by Abyss where enemies resist Anemo... If you don't have Jean C4 you're screwed plain and simple...
My favourite team is Thoma/Faruzan/Benny/Scara. It's super comfy to play. Sadly too many characters on that account want Benny (joy of collecting Fatui Execs). Hope we get more options in the future.

I had skipped Kazuha last year since I wasn't going to be able to spend money on Wanderer, and have never regretted it. Won his 50/50 and got c6 Faruzan while getting Kokomi. Since I run Furina, he's using my best artifact set, the only one I've had good luck with, and he's using Skyward Atlas. He feels better to play than my hyperbloom team minus my hyperbloom team being unkillable. I do prefer Mika over Bennett. I do manage to get the cryo swirl, and he feels better to play than Bennett. Plus, I can use Bennett on the other side if needed. (Though usually it ends up being Tighnari or my hyperbloom team lol.) Bonus that him, Faruzan, Furina, and Mika feel great for running around lol
Picture a 300 cv character with little attack getting absolutely beefed up with the Pyro Archon and Bennett.
I think for tierlists you should rate them both at a mid general level for normal players and also at a high investment level for people who wanna invest into their mains
