4:22 I don't really remember kids' fairy tales very well, but this looks like an adaptation of the German fairy tale "The White Snake" with elements from several other fairy tales from different countries, including "Jack and the Beanstalk" (English), "The Firebird and Princess Vasilisa" (Russian, possibly of Byzantine origin), "King Fortunatus's Golden Wig" (Italian), "The Frog Princess" (German), "The Gold-Bearded Man" (Hungarian), "The Queen Bee" (German), "The Spinning-Woman by the Spring" (origin unknown, possibly Italian) and possibly others! But the moral of the story is clear -- be kind to animals!

I'm pretty sure that the fairy tale will turn out to be the key. The attack on the swans and on the tree, obviously the tree that the little boy was trying to plant when the Swan found him. Does the vandal think that they are the ones from the story? Are they trying to recreate the fairly tale for some reason?
If so, then the vandal would be the evil wizard!
