- So R6 changed the deployable shield and basically made it into a portable Mira. It takes some getting used to but IMO it is a very strong gadget for the defense. Only time will tell if this new shield is a good or bad thing for siege.

I feel like this is just a bigger, more op, movable mira on a ton of characters which will make atacking really hard so that's a no from me captain.
@TheRealValkyrie but if you have a sight and you're a defender you probably put it somewhere where your back is protected and you can just camp directly behind it and be able to quickly peak and fire without the enemies having time to react.

U can see through the shield by backing up
The hitbox of the shield appears before the animation finishes,thats what triggering this.
Its not a glitch,Its bad programming.

I believe the point in the change is to use it more viable apart from the afk defenders like Echo and Maestro. However ignoring the glitches this is a bit overboard
I like how you can attach them to doorways and stuff because it was always annoying to be shot thru a pixel next to the shield but I don’t like how they made them with those glass slots it just feels like a portable Mira.

They should just make them bigger (like on the tts) but remove the glass

Encrypted Sniper "Hiding" behind a deployable shield was never a proper tactic. If you were an attacker the first thing you assume is that a defender is behind it. Adding this makes it powerful now because the defender can prefire back choosing an angle to attack from. I'm happy I quit this game.

The reason your invinsible is because when you place it the game thinks its already there and sets up the sheild barrier
The issue with small slits such as those is that the player close to the shield can see A LOT through them - sometimes the entire enemy player. Whereas the enemy, if a bit furter away can barely see shit unless the background is very bright - making it obvious someone's sitting there.
Honestly I was hoping for the shield to have a sort of metal hatch you could open/close once the shield is deployed. To add a sort of risk/reward aspect to it. If an attacker shoots the hatch a bit, it'll either get destroyed/jammed in open position.
You expose yourself by opening a hatch - risk.
You can see what's in front of the shield - reward.
Attackers can counter it without fancy gadgets - by making noise(shooting), revealing their position.
It’s been like a year since this new shield came out and I’ve legit never used the little see-through slits on the shield.

Controllers are better for like racing games, FIFA, maybe 3rd person shooters. In mouse you have great precision in aiming, but on controller you only have better movement. If you would play Forza for many hours on keyboard, you would be a good player, but that's again doing something not meant to do
