Jimmy and Patrik have some serious magic, washing all Benning's dirty underwear and coming out under the cap is truly amazing...!

Elliotte's back to his "Drifter" look. I think he may have a boxcar to catch after the interview.

I think Friedman is right. Canucks have the deepest forward core, 3 good goalies and a Norris winning dman leading the back end. I believe alvin will address the need for another top 4 D.

@@matthewsmith5374 Calgary would have to retain at least 50% of it. Canucks have a 4.5mil buyout and 700k retention to deal with

@@omfg322 they could do that. They’d do it for another 1st round pick and a body or two. He’d be a rental but if you want to go for it he might be the guy. Solid all rounder used to playing top minutes and decent playoff guy in the past, .5 ppg.

Wish list to be a favourite: a high-end winger, a high-end defenceman, a high-end third-line centre. If Lekkerimäki blossomed, Räty exceeded expectations, and they swung a deal for a mobile defender, okay.

I’m an oiler fan and I think the canucks are going to win the west for sure this year!…our management in Edmonton really really screwed up with all the losses that they let happen ….6 players are missing from our cup run last year…I don’t even think we will make the playoffs this year!

Elliot said that Canadian fans hate each other. Try living in a different country (the states) for years, where hockey is so low on the totem poll you rarely see it on tv. You love all of the Canadian teams and hope they all do well, but not at the expense of your team. The only time I don't want the other Canadian teams to win is when they play the Canucks. In the end, however, I just want to see the cup go home and if it's not the Canucks, then I'm ok with ANY of the other Canadian teams doing it.

In theory it would be great if a Canadian team wins the Stanley Cup again, but in reality as teams get closer and closer towards the finals, their fans start becoming so arrogant online that you can't help to start cheering against them. And I will be the first to admit that we Canucks fans got so bad in 2011 that most Canadians east of the Rockies started to become Bruin fans. No Leaf fan wants to see the Canadiens win and vice versa. No one in Edmonton or Calgary wants to see the other city win.
As a Canuck fan for more than 40+ years now, I HATE the Flames and Oilers because I still remember the terrible 80s when they would smoke us on a regular basis. I hope the Leafs never find a way to ever make it out of the third round because media coverage of them is already bad enough. Montreal fans already brag about how their team has won more Cups than anyone else in history so we don't need them any more smug. I was fine with the Jets maybe winning the Cup until their fans started getting uppity last season and saying things like how Demko isn't anywhere in the same class as Hellebuyck. At this point I'm only fine with the Senators winning but even then all of the federal politicians will probably jump on the bandwagon and use it as a chance to get political. The next Canadian team that actually wins the Cup, their fans will be lording it over everyone for a good decade. It's not just winning the Cup, it's being the first to bring it north of the border in more than 30 years and those bragging rights will be legendary.

Seriously, what do the Canucks do if Demko comes back and underperforms to the point he is #3 in the goalie hierarchy.
