Just got my M1 Evo today and from first hover... I've flown several Blade helis and compared to those, the M1 is just...
Best comparison for me is when I was getting my pilot license. The Cessna 172 and 182 are very similar aircraft, externally. The 182 just has a bigger engine. That extra weight and power, though 😮... The M1 is similar in size to a Blade 120 but oh my, the metal parts, the power in the motor... Very different feel.

Glad your happy with the m1, its a great little heli and very cheap to fix when you have a tumble with it. Happy and safe flying 👍🏻

I like to fly scale and 6G suits me perfectly. I'm not interested in 3D at all. I can do figure 8 's , box circuits , tail in circles , nose in circles , fly backwards .

I would really recommend flying without stability mode and practice fresh again without it on because it teaches you the wrong foundations for flying

I totally agree . You will have to relearn everything when you go into non-stabilized mode. And the more you fly in 6g mode, the harder it will be to relearn. I highly recommend that you use a simulator to be able to work on your translations without fear. You will be impressed by the progress that the simulator allows you to make in a short time. Good flight !

@@nikosystem1 non-stabilized mode even take off? I'm also a beginner using M1 EVO., it is hard to take off using 3d mode.

@@FJoe-lc4xp I would tend to say a big yes. Don't forget to switch to Normal mode and Low rate to take of/ land. Also, don't try to stay hovering close to the ground, you should take off and quickly gain an altitude that protects you from ground effect (at least 1/2 meter) before. For landing it's the same thing, you must first hover the heli just high enough to not be affected by ground effect, then you have to land quickly (Always have enough space to be safe) .
If you are really really too afraid of crashing.. yes you can take off and land with the help of stabilized mode at the beginning. But remember that as a result, you will not learn to manage these fly situations and that the simulator does not correctly reproduce ground effect so you won't be able to practice on it. ( Honestly I recommend avoiding switching 3D/6G mode in flight, this can be very confusing. But that's maybe just a personal feeling). I'm French so my answers may not be very clear, but I love this hobby and helping, so don't hesitate if you have any questions!

@@nikosystem1 thx for your answer, I want to ask for a few months. I'm confused how to use 3d mode to take off and hovering! Seems it is nightmare for me! Thx

@@FJoe-lc4xp Yep.. At first it's really very scary and intimidating. The fear of breaking your heli combined with the ground effect which disrupts the flight makes it a nightmare... And especially with these very powerful micro heli like the M1 ! (Do you have an RTF or BNF? )
But don't worry, it's still a delicate step even for experienced pilots and larger helicopters. And generally, you will notice that people rarely attempt hovers close to the ground, that they gain altitude quickly when take off, land as quickly and avoid high rpm on the ground. So, It's not a problem with you 🙂 Always remember, take your time, breathe calmly, make sure you're on right RPM an Rates setting and don't try to be absolutely perfect or do like Tarek Alsaadi. We are not made like him and there are really a lot of parameters to take into account. 🙂

I’m about to buy an EVO after flying a blade srx200 for some time, the quality of the EVO just looks fantastic, not sure if I’ll go for this one or an m. Thanks for this video
