- Sixty-five years ago, my mother was adopted from the "Juwana Putera" orphanage, and armed with adoption papers, we set out to trace the footsteps of our familial past. We visited the village where my grandparents were meant to reside, as we combed through the area in pursuit of any connection to the names etched in the adoption documents. The journey didn't end there; driven by a fervent desire to piece together the puzzle of my family's history, we visited two different departments, hoping to uncover additional documentation regarding the parents who had to part with my mother. Join me on this emotional rollercoaster as we navigate the complexities of ancestral discovery, facing challenges and uncovering secrets that may bridge the gap between my past and present. Mother: Sajem/ Mj. Sajem/Sayem
Name of my mom before the adoption: Sami Lestari
Place of Birth: Desa Ngamplak, Kartasura, Sukoharjo

My advice: come again to the village, and try to find the oldest person there and all people of the same generation with your grandma. Usually, this will be more effective way for you to find somebody in the past rather than asking the village officials.

@@Chai_Travelcobalah cari di youtube tentang anak anak adopsi indonesia CNN pernah meliput hal ini,dan kalau tidak salah melibatkan sebuah panti asuhan di solo..yang dimana ternyata panti asuhan itu sebuah kamuflase jual beli anak,banyak sekali orang belanda yang mencari orang tua asli mereka dan mendapatkan kekecewaan karena bukan hanya karena proses adopsi nya namun karena dokumen dokumen mereka semua adalah palsu bahkan nama orang tua,alamat dll adalah palsu sehingga mereka tidak bisa melacak garis darah mereka,dan semua mengerucut pada sorang suster dan kepala panti asuhan yang sudah tua renta dan menolak di wawancara

Jangan2 anda salah mengerti yang dicari chai siapa? Yang dicari chai di indonesia ini neneknya, ibu dari ibu kandung chai. Maksud TS, dengan bawa foto mudanya ibu chai, setidaknya jika mbok sajem / sayem ini punya anak lain yang jadi saudara kandung ibunya chai, orang2 desa bisa lebih mudah mengidentifikasi dari sisi kemiripan wajah dengan saudara kandungnya yang mungkin dikenal orang2 kampung

Indonesia's weakness in the past was documentation, it was in the system but it wasn't necessarily correct or not updated... I hope you find your family, you are a little lucky because there are adoption documents because many don't have adoption documents

Javanese names don’t have surnames, so it’s difficult to trace. Indonesia is still struggling to make computerized administration, and many data were lost due to certain reasons. Thumbs up to your patience, and I wish you could find some members of your family. Amen.

Seharusnya anda ada data yang lengkap, minimal ada foto atau ayah kamu memberikan Data dan sejarah pernikahan dengan ibu anda di Solo. Pasti akan berhasil ditemukan. Nama-nama keluarga Ibu anda. Semoga berhasil jangan berhenti mencarinya👍👍👍

Its true in java long a go people only have one name and without parents name so its little difficult to trace..

I really appreciated that, don’t lose hope, it’s reminded me my oma brother’s and sister’s come to Indonesia from Netherland to find their big sister (my oma) long story but before my great grandpa died he told their kids that they’ve big sister in Indonesia but just knew about address and old name (Netherland name) before adopted, and because we already move, their asked our neighbors and looking for other clue till their find us, now we got reunited, every year they’re coming to Indonesia, and I just knew that I have a lot of families, we become a big family and it’s feel so overwhelming 🥰 I hope you guys get the same thing like us 😇😇

Besides the absence of surnames, I am sure you are also having a problem with the spelling system. Like in the past, the letter "J" was read "Y" so the name "Sajem" in the past could have been actually read "Sayem" and the younger generation may not realize it and consider it in the search...

Since you find the village…you might as well check the cemetery since Indonesians don’t go by their last name you can read on the tombstone the first name of the deceased and the first name of the father ex: Budi bin Ali for man or Nana binti Ali for lady…wish you all the luck

jika nama desa sudah ditemukan, kamu harus lebih detail, cek setiap inci desa tersebut. Cari sesepuh yang masih hidup, kunjungi pemakaman desa tersebut, cari juru kunci yg merawat kuburan. Data kependudukan yg kamu temukan itu bersifat administrasi, cari aspek sejarahnya, pada saat Orde Baru jika orang tersebut eks PKI dan organisasi sayapnya mereka dicatat tersendiri dan catatan itu masih ada di setiap desa selama Soeharto berkuasa.

I think people need to create a foundation, or some kind of help for Dutch people who want to find their biological family in Indonesia.

In 1930, Dutch moved my family (from my Mom) from Wonogiri, close to Solo to Sumatra island. And in 1995, I went to a college in Solo. My uncle who was with me, he tried to find my family root but he didn’t succesful. He concluded that probably the village already drowned in the water.

@@Chai_Travel just don’t give up. If your family from Ngemplak, Sukoharjo, you have a big chance to find them. Because I also found my family root from my father. They’re from Boyolali, and I met them in 1996. My father’s family was moved by Dutch in 1938.
My Mom’s family is nowhere to be found because the area now is a huge water reservoir.
Don't give up, man. You can try to find your family here. Keep pray. May Allah give a nice way to you.

orang yg ditemui di menit ke 22:26 dan old lady di menit 24:57 mereka ada kemiripan di wajah dengan ibunya mas Chai, biasanya orang zaman dahulu memang ada hubungan keluarga karena dulu jumlah penduduk sedikit dan pernikahan hanya terjadi di dalam kampung atau antar kampung terdekat. semoga mas Chai segera bertemu dengan keluarganya, Aamiin
