  • Created by violinist Dmitri Berlinsky, the series honors one of the world’s most respected violin teachers - bringing former students and collaborators together to share Ms. DeLay’s techniques, repertoire and reflections on life as an artist. This video features violinist Vadim Gluzman whose wide repertoire embraces new music and whose performances are heard around the world through live broadcasts. The event took place on December 10, 2021 in Murray Hall in the Billman Music Pavilion of the Music Building on the campus of Michigan State University.
    Dorothy DeLay (1917-2002) is remembered as one of the most respected violin pedagogues of the 20th Century. Her students included Itzhak Perlman, Midori, Gil Shaham, Nigel Kennedy, Shlomo Mintz, Cho-Liang Lin, Akiko Suwanai, Dmitri Berlinsky, Philippe Quint, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, and more. Ms.DeLay was a graduate of Michigan State University in1937.
