I am excited to announce the new series of master classes in honor of the famed pedagogue and MSU graduate, Dorothy DeLay. Thanks to Ms. DeLay's former students, who are my friends and colleagues, this project unites us despite the distance and social isolation in the current situation. It allows for a unique opportunity for music aficionados and students to witness the path to craftsmanship in the setting of the special Virtual Master Class Series."

He's a tremendous teacher❗️
Such master classes is a jewel, in fact much better than Zukerman's many other master classes..
It used to be solid and crisspy. Now this guys tone sounds like a pig getting stabed
Thank You .💖 This is my bedtime story . I do let this 🎶 play as i do falling asleep. 💖💖💖💖🫠 🎻 Sweet dreams everybody. 💖💖💖💖 🎻
8:00 style change
I think it is a little bit difficult to talk about preconcert routine because it’s very personal to research the concentration because for sure every soloist don’t just go and play but you have to think to yourself and how could you describe it?
My favourite violinist! That tone!
Very young then.
Thank you
It's always great to learn off of the score. It has such an impact on the phrasing!
Gil is such a beautiful and caring man. His warm tone is among my favorites ever.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful sound
Every word is a piece of gold! Thanks mucn
Very helpful

BRAVO !
The best right hand ever...
Exquisite!!!❤
So distinguished
Thank you so much! I really appreciate to you share all of these masterclasses, its really developing my techniques, perspectives about musicality and inspiring me. I'm glad that I can take these lessons for free. Its amazing! I wish you all and your family health. Hi from Turkiye 🌼👋
I really enjoyed this, very insightful.
Dear maestro, you are the best!
This dedication, the results from his teachings, eth are just amazing. A natural yet able to explain things with more than enough empathy to be an excellent, highly enthousiastic teacher.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful tips for string players. You are making the "tools of the trade" widely available for future generations to enjoy!
Gil is amazing, and humble. He always acknowledges the orchestra and conductor, and moves teh spotlight off himself. Flawless performer.
Спасибо огромное! У Вас бесценные видео!
pinchas zukerman isn't just racist to Koreans (his inferiority complex to Kyungwha Chung and envy of Sarah Chang is obvious), he basically tells the facilitator, it's cute you are trying to speak english.... wow....
Anything anybody say- people like you got offended! It’s just an old school humour, nothing more
@user-sr3ce7mp7n no it's not. It stems from his inferiority complex to Kyungwha Chung
Thank you!!!
"Are your emotions feeling physical, or are they feeling mental?" - Emotions can feel??? Never knew
A bad case of incredible natural talent. Maybe not the best person to ask for advice for more ordinary players.
I think there is something we can all learn from just about anyone. Watching him inspires me to play better.
Thank you for this phenomenal masterclass series, especially with one of my all time favorites, Pinchas Z! Will you have William Fitzpatrick and Cornelia Heard in this series as well?
Hi Ann saw your vidio in Texas Im practicing more because someone explaned the bow tension knob is not supposed to touch the transome of the stick. I practiced ba ba black sheep and the visitors this evening at6pm. Ive never heard my violin sound so soulful! It wasnt even in tune and still sounded great. Im an undiscovered retread gave up 40 years ago because I couldnt tune my instrument and didnt know about f# behind open d. Thank you for sharing about your Guarnieri it was fastenating! C.e.usa😅
In México we need that way of thinking, that philosofy, I have many teachers in México, and I had the bad experience that everyone has Been horrible People and horrible teachers, I always was got humiliation of them, was too much presión on me, and bad treat me, that I have to quit the músic forever, hope one Day the way of teaching músic in México change, because in a way the way of teaching in México dont grow UP and dont have the level of USA, because this kind of stuff.
What a great teacher/communicator!
I just love this series you are putting on, Mr. Berlinsky. It's such a worthwhile and amazing collection of discussions!!! Thank you!
Mesmerizing
That was terrific.
I don't think it was us losing a golden age in classical music. In the olden days, these musicians are less accessible where is now, young artists can have all the social channels and they play to please the audience for likes. Sometimes overexposure makes it less interesting, and over pleasing the audience loses the individuality.
아니 이게 누구신가?! 인종차별자 아니신가?!
We can listen violinists, who play with a high level like Perlman and have the gift, but little ones, than play with the soul like him. He is the best for me! 🎻 By other hand, he gets a connection between him and the spectator. 🎻
The Stallone of the violin.
His way reminds me very much of Stallone.
Zukerman can play the violin but he cannot explain how he does it.
Pinchas should tell us how can someone play in tune if he cant hear that something is out of tune. And that is very very common.
I agree with Zukerman but I agree with you as well. As an amateur I realised (and accepted) late that professionals can be very limited with some of their playing skills and for some it’s even hearing properly. Some simply don’t practise enough and haven’t connected to their instrument or will never do. Which poses the question if they picked the right instrument. Seriously.
