Boston, MA was was one of many Northern "hot spots" for The Good Governor due to the forced busing imposed by the Federal Government. His political agenda had less to do with segregation as it did Government intervention in States not exclusive to Alabama. Fellow Alabama native, author Harper Lee's book/movie helped to fuel the North's hatred of a post civil war South as much as anything. Her story was set in a 1920's South. the fans of the movie could only glean the hatred of the "Klan" & missed Atticus Finch's message of all men are equal.
