Better alternative to a Smith Little Torch or Gentec Regulator for 1lb propane tanks?

- It should go without mentioning, but this method should be used at your own risk!
Some notes I forgot to mention
• Each piece for this setup is heavy-duty and only contains two rubber gaskets. One in the DOT 39 adapter and the other on the needle for the valve. Both can be replaced easily. Unless extreme damage occurs for some reason, this setup will easily last a lifetime. Also, each individual piece is replaceable interdependently, of course.
• As for the pressures with this system. When the tank valve is open and the torch valve closed, the vapor pressure will equalize in the line and headspace of the tank. Since the tank valve would only be left slightly open, once opening the torch valve, the line pressure will quickly drop in the line. So fast, in fact, that by the time the torch is lit, it will have settled, which is why I have not experienced any difference in torch behavior between this method and using a regulator.
• In case of any confusion, I would only use this method on these small tanks and not on anything larger.
