My dad grew up in Broken Hill about 20 minutes from Silverton, he moved to adelaide about 30 years ago but we went and stayed in Broken Hill for a few weeks when me and my siblings were young and he took us to Silverton and got to take photos with all the cars used in Mad Max & we also got to ride on a camel! Such an amazing memory!
P.S I remember we went to the pub in silverton and one of the cars from Mad Max was parked out the front with fake bullet holes all through it, it was really cool to see
I hear the camels are now located in Newcastle. I love the outback. Your dad was lucky to grow up in Broken Hill. Was the Mad Max 2 Museum open when you were there? Silverton would have been a rugged place to live in. And thank you so much for supporting my channel.
I think this would be a good place to go on a daytrip if you are out visiting Broken Hill
