Where to stay in Tellico plains, Tennessee (bike ride part 1)

- 2021 Tennessee Autumn Bike Ride with friends. We were staying at Hunt's Lodge and Motorcycle Campground in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. It's a 5 days trip and we wanted to see the color changed. We had a great time and ride around the mountains. Tapoco Lodge restaurant had a great food and it's located in the lush of the mountain region of the Nantahala National Forest on the banks of the cascading Cheoah River.

Tellico is a great place to set up for a weeks' worth of great riding, I always stay at the lodge at Tellico. Great roads are everywhere, I will be back in September for 6 full days of riding. New sub here, thank you for sharing this info.

We stayed in vanore TN last time up there. It's about 15 miles from Marysville. Close to alot of good rides.
Love that place you stayed at! A motorcycle Motel with boot heaters, barbecues, gorgeous location and all the Southern Charm you could ask for.❤

Love Smittys Motorcycle Campground. My favorite place to camp in East TN. Great location and view. Centrally located to so many great rides.

@@lilikjaya i actually made and painted the sign thats on the building for Wendel the owner. Helped them with some odds and ends as I stayed there early this spring and last spring. Great people. I know all the roads in and around that area pretty well. Great location

@@lilikjaya yes I have a 2019 that I uncrated and help put together. I have almost 40k on it... Tellico Plains is mine and my wifes happy place, she rides a 2020 CanAm F3 Ltd... we are headed to TP at the end of april will be 1 of 3 or 4 trips this yr

I'm 70 miles from Tellico and tend to overnight at Indian Boundary or Citico Creek CG on the skyway...but this is similar to 2 Wheels of Suches. Is this on the Telico-Reliance Hwy west of town and west of TN68?
Hey S Tho, it's located on Unicoi Turnpike or 68 and the name used to be Smitty's Lodge Motorcycle Campground now they changed the name but the same owner (Hunt's Lodge Motorcycle Campground). It's quieter than 2Wheeks of Suches. Pretty serene and quiet.

@@lilikjaya oh I know 2 wheels intimately and know the amenities...I was just asking where Hunt's was in relation to town. Off 68 or off the highway to Etowa, Starr Mountain and Reliance west of town.
