Pneumatic Pallet Breaker (Taker Aparter)

- I needed to break down a LOT of pallets, and instead of doing it by hand, I figured I could build something to do it quicker. Here it is! I used 100% scrap material I had laying around. If it gets tons of use, I'll rebuild it with some better material... we'll see. Check out the pneumatic parts list below if interested.

I want to build pallet breaker just in case I come across a pallet!! Great welding and fabrication skills.
Both machines work perfectly. The pallet breaker and the taker aparter.
Well done you
Haha. Thanks
This is the best and quickest idea I found on UA-cam
Great work
Simple yet effective . Thanks for taking the time to video and sharing
Fantastic project. I love it!
Thank you and greetings from Portugal.
Great welding skills. Video nicely done, great project.
Cool project !!!!! Glad to see you again in a long time with such a dynamic project !!!!! Way to go !!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to see you more often !!!!!!
Thank you so much Katepina! Great to hear from you again!
now that is the idea ive been looking for ...brilliant mate now to build it
Someone worked hard putting all those pallets together - and there you are just busting 'em apart again! Pretty cool contraption!!!!
I almost feel bad for them, haha. Thanks!
Just needs a cup holder and a nail remover and you get the Nobel peace prize. Awesome work.
Haha I agree. Thank you!
excellent job on the build and on the welding
That is just way too cool. Thanks for the video!
Man this is awesome..... I came across this video looking for diy machine to notch wood for pallets ... Nice work
This is awesome, great job
Awesome idea
muy interesante y práctico el sistema para reciclar tarimas utilizando el pistón neumático. Gracias por compartir.
Best fabrication and engineering 🎉
If been looking for one of these for ages. Thank you sooo much! Hopefully I'll be able to source this stuff in ireland
Hey Eddie, did you ever get around to building one of these?
Just like all of your videos ... awesome!
Thank you Kam, I appreciate it!
That's pretty cool!
Would you happen to have the specifications for the air cylinder you used? Stroke and possibly the force it exerts?
Thanks for the great shout out with the Average Joe’s Jim mug. Loved interviewing you about “The Expanse” on my podcast last month! Hope to have you back soon, and great episode, looking forward to giving your others another watch as well!
Thanks for the awesome mug and great podcasts!
You prolly dont give a damn but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?
I stupidly forgot my account password. I would love any help you can offer me
@Flynn Andres Instablaster :)
@Brentley Randy Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Brentley Randy it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much you really help me out!
Freakin' Genius! Great work glad to see you back!
Thanks for the kind words!
Great work how many hours in fabrication?
I own one of these machines it's saved your back and time
Cool stuff! Love the backyard engineering!
Quick question: Approximately how long is your cheater bar?
Also what was the Pressure you found you needed?
I'm building a similar project and just trying to get a sense for the force needed.
Thanks!
Hola conseguiste tener la fuerza del cilindro
I have been looking at making a machine to break skids down, but I use the wood so I want the pieces to come off as intact as possible. In the past the best technique was to use a 32 oz ball peen hammer. I would pre cut a few pieces of oak 2x4 to be a bit sider than the slats that go across the stringers and bang first on the sides of the slats with sharp blows. It it a lot of work and you crack a lot of pieces even with a practiced hand. you also pull a lot of nail heads through. So my idea for a machine is a lot more manual than yours and a lot simpler and a lot slower, but for me that is a good thing. I plan on making one thing that sits on the stringers, over the slat you want to pull and you put a bottle jack on that, and there is a piece that goes over the top of the jack and closes around each side of the slat. You pump the jack and it applies even pressure to both sides of the slat, hopefully enough the get the nails coming out without breaking the slat.
Very genius
BRAVO
Nice
did it painless to the board?, i wondering about the result.
Awesome
You are a God!
Very kind!
Super cool... you need to make and sell these!!
Thanks David!
@A Modern Maker
The world would be a better place if (anyone) sold these, my friend. Why not you?
How much bar pressure required
How much does it cost, I like one
How much would it cost to build one in ship to michigan
You need to apply even pressure across the width of the slat to eliminate splitting
Awesome.m8
Thanks!
Can you do a pallet stringer notcher machine
What does the wood look like after you have removed it? Is it usable or fire wood?
Yes it’s usable.
*******n next level!
Thanks!
Thanks!
👏
Seems like a bed of rollers on a feed table would make it easier to slide the pallet forward?
Yes it would. This first design was just a test using free scrap material that I had on hand, minus the pneumatic ram. If I do another it’ll be much improved. Got the job done though.
@@AModernMaker would LOVE to see
2.0 please do it soon!!
Make another video like this
How much for one of these
WOW That is amazing machine! Do you have any instructions with dimensions for building one of these machines?
I'm salting these machines for 3000 cash
How do I contact you
@@jaredwashington5219 I’ve been trying to leave you a comment, how can in contact with you to purchase a machine from you? Thanks
How long does it take to break down a pallet?
Less than 30 seconds
While I really don't have the patience nor the equipment to put it together...BUT shut up and take my money......might take this to a weld shop see if any1 can do it...if any from Toronto area dm....cuz a dismantler is big....expensive...drains lots of pwr....
tendras las caracteristicas del piston?
Check in the description. There’s a link to the one I used.
do you perhaps have the schematics and technical specs to make it.
I can check to see if I still do
@@AModernMaker i allrready have one constructed
Cat dog is right, a foot switch. And i give it a 9/10. Would've given it 10/10 but it didn't pass the coffee in hand test lol
I need one.. Make me one...
You went through all of that and NO FOOT SWITCH???
Hello I would like to know if you sell one to me?
Pls send new video
Would you be interested in selling your dismantler?
1/4 push fittings link does not work bud
Thanks, I’ll look into it
Np
I just created a machine that makes pallets. We should get together.
Is for sale ?
No I’m sorry
Would you make me one?? How much?
No, I’m sorry.
I will
Very nice but practically is working
I'm getting one of these made as we speak I will be saling them for 3000 a piece if anyone wants to purhase
Haha
Hola como se llama ese brazo q parece un amortiguador y hace la función de bajar las palas con el aire gracias
Wish you'd shown what you were building right off the bat. I had no patience for plowing through your construction project without that information.
Who can make me one of these? I’ll pay
I'm not the guy from the video, but if you're still looking for a pallet breaker I can build you one. Realistically you're looking at maybe $1500-2000 for everything including materials and powdercoating. I do have a small modification in mind where the "fingers" will pull straight instead of pivoting, so boards would have less tendency to split.
You should sell the plans (blue prints) for this so others can make it, and you make $$$. Charge $150 for the plans....
I got one of these machines made and willing to sale more machines newly fabricated if you would like to purchase
I HAD TO HIT THE DISLIKE BUTTON... Because I'm so fkn JEALOUS......nah Just Kidden... so here I am making these pallet buster bars,,, which I've been selling and beating myself up bustin down pallets, with my crippled old body..when all I had to do was see ur video,,,, (Can u hear the screaming.).. tHekclgmensid rkjfndj ) thankyou thankyou thankyou... I'll get right on this Life-Changing Build....- I was thinking of using a chevy Power steering pump to run a hydraulic set up ... but wondering how that air set up is working for you? ... It seems to be okay,, ? a n steady production,, I just hate using my compressor,,but here it gets -35/-40 in winter and thats another problem with fluid driven systems... Great Video Totally Awesome.
Your design splits the board ends. Sawzall works better.
I own a pallet company and u are wrong his method works wonders
does the machine work on air pressure ?
