People who have been on HIV medication's for years should be tested regularly to see if they are still HIV positive.
Here in the U.S is what doctors have to do every 3 months in order for patients to continue receiving medications. The problem is doctors don't recommend patients to stop abruptly as it gives the virus a chance to mutate therefore making that medication unable to continue working anymore, then the patient needs to be put on a totally new medication.
