Short and to the point. Thank you.
This tool alone was worth the USD109 upgrade cost. I hadn't realized that the tone picker would also let me drag the point on the curve up and down - thanks for that one!
I agree! It is so nice to have :)
Really like the improvement in the tone curve. I use it a lot. However, dealing with skin tones is a pain. Sometime it make the skin to orange.
Not anymore 😁. The tone curve is the best.
@@gonzaloleviatanh Try adjusing the *luminance* curve.
Photolab 8 looks great. But such a disappointment that they still don’t allow previewing of the contents of sub-folders. It’s a baffling oversight for such a well thought-out application.
Can the new enhanced curves tool be applied/used with JPG images?
Certainly.
No support for HEIF in 2024! Thats a deal breaker. JPEG is 30 year old technology.
Fair. Hope you find something that does what you need.

I only wonder if they did that would it impact performance? As soon as I click on my main photos folder the software is trying to load 10s of thousands of image thumbnails. Not sure. But maybe a preference toggle for those like you who use that approach
Yes that would be one way to do it. Or to load a number of previews and update as the user scrolls. Other apps manage it, with and without Library files. It’s a real pity as the absence of this feature really limits the usefulness of the app. Frankly it’s a pain to use it with any kind of large library, the reason I’ve tried multiple versions but always decided against it in the end.
