awesome! im new to wraps so this was really cool to see. im going to attempt to wrap my front end on my 2021 subaru crosstrek. so im learning and learning
Thank you for this! I was looking for a straightforward and precise demonstration of knifeless tape in preparation for replacing the 10 inch racing stripes on the hood of my 2007 GT Mustang. Cheers.
How would somebody use nice list tape for example when wrapping a winglet on a spoiler? I'm trying to do one side of the winglet one color and the other side another color The winglet is about a quarter of an inch thick and of course when you lay the knifeless tape it starts goes all the way around the edge and then finishes right where you started but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to make that work
Sorry for the belated response! Did you ever get it sorted out? I think what you're asking is where to put the tag end that you will use to pull the filament. Once the tape reaches your starting point you want to overlap by a few inches to make sure it lines up then you need to turn the tape slightly off into an area that's not going to be wrapped. This can be tricky if you run out of, or just simply have no surface to continue the tape. It is possible to start the filament while the knifeless tape is floating off a surface. Good topic for a future video because it would thought to explain that here.
Should the Finish Line tape work with the thicker (.008") 3M vinyl? I couldn't seem to get the cut started. The string wanted to bunch and lift the material.
+1 I'm interested in the same thing but my guess is no, cuz tint has different properties and texture then vinyl. Vinyl is more stretchy and prone to tearing compared to tint which is more stiff and plasticy and more prone to creasing and bending. At least in my mind, didn't test any of that stuff myself to be fair.
Perfect video no time wasting intro or waffle just exactly what I needed to know 👍
thanks
Thank you for this simple yet effective demonstration
You’re welcome!
Crazy how a little detail will bring it out more , love ur work
Thank you for the beginning of the video! I couldn't fro the life of me figure out how to get the string to peel.
You're welcome. You and me both, haha!

Gotta have the material completely flat so it cuts into it.
It should if its vinyl. Try post heating and letting it cool. Pressing with your thumb over the start point is something I also do.
Thanks: what kind of squeegee are u using
I will have to look up the specific name of that one, I'm not sure off the top of my head. I'll get back to you. It's magnetic!
How can I buy that and where do I get it?
We order from www.Fellers.com
Can it be used for windshield sun strips? since the tape will be on the very edge of the windshield?

You're welcome!
@andromedia7453 This will not cut through window film.
For visor strip we have a roll cut to 10" and use the factory cut edge.
Great job thank you very much
