If there was a place for the grease to go. The bearings installed are sealed so nothing productive will happen. But we have to start somewhere. At least he/she tried.

Since those bearings are sealed i say you should tap in a grease fitting and fill her up a little with each ride.

It's a nipple you put a grease gun on so you can grease your shaft /bearings

Always do this on BMX or Square Taper. Both of those systems trap tons of water in the bottom bracket even with drain holes. Can save someone a headache this way.

Well in my humble opinion, I'd say it's important because the bearing may be sealed but the outside of it is still in contact with the bear metal. Metal on metal still has a lot of friction, hence the need for greese so it doesn't harm the metal

-- You filled the hub with vaseline for nothing, if you didn't remove the protective caps of the bearings, on the inner side.
Definitely wasn't Vaseline but yeah you're somewhat correct with the rest.
I think the grease is just a rust indicator. Noticed how much rust came out. Your thoughts, were mine as well.

Never enough grease
Naa! Too much grease like they said the bearings are sealed I would be more inclined to block off those tubes for the frame and stop any rust and water getting in to the bearings.
P.S. Just a note its a common engineering finding that for every bearing that has died through not enough grease 10 have died through over greasing . Just saying.!!!!!!!
I think you forgot to add a bit more grease
Peel out the seal on the bearings (use a needle to not bend it). Now you can clean & fill the bearing with grease or oil, or lithium grease...) Press the seal back and you will have a very smooth bearing!!

stainless material for parts. or making them stainless. grease sometimes traps dirt and when touched by feet makes you dirty

What's the point of grease when you don't take out the inter seals? The grease won't get to the rollers.

The grease is not for the internal of the bearing it is for the bearing fitting into the frame to prevent it seizing and getting stuck in there, this will also help to prevent rust building up. 🫡👊🙌
