So many little Brunnera! Nice divisions👍 They will be big next year... I spent the day planting shrubs... yesterday overheard pruning. I'll sleep! Keep going, it's looking good and we all want to see how the wishing well turns out!
@@ericjorgensen8028 the brunnera self seeded in that area to my delight😆 I didn't know brunnera self seeded like that so that was a happy surprise. Still hoping I can execute the wishing well the way it is in my head LOL❤️
Planting Asiatic and oriental liles in my garden and some blanket flowers. I'm making a gigantic Lily bed 😂 Your secret garden will be absolutely amazing ❤
I planted my blue juniper and dug the hole to transplant my blue spruce I planted just about 1 year ago but quickly realized it is the wrong plant for the wrong space. Kept the blue color with the juniper but will transplant the spruce tomorrow. That was today & yesterday I planted 2Copper King heucherella’s with some firecracker sedum. I hope they do good next year. The position of the sun has changed so quickly.. I love fall but always hate for summer to go and dread what lies ahead after the fall… “Winter Is Coming”. lol. The secret garden is shaping up nicely! Can’t Wait to see what else you do with it. 😊♥️
@@staceyallard2692 I love fall as well and winter is my time to expand the garden and clean up the woods. Sounds like you have some nice plant choices. Thank you for watching ☺️❤️
I usually top dress with mulch, once I finish planting an area... not completely finished with that area yet so I topped dress the hosta and brunnera area with soil. When I clear out that area a bit more I will add cardboard and mulch to the planting areas to help control the weeds
Loving how ur yard is coming along! You are inspiring me tremendously but I must ask do u feel overwhelmed sometimes and do u get to sit to enjoy ur work? I find myself always on to the next garden space planning that I don’t really get to enjoy what was just created. I’m creating a botanical garden, that’s what I tell everyone, so seemingly I’m racing to get it filled with all the plants while learning how to create a garden 😊 Thank you for sharing your garden it means a lot to me especially on days when the woods seem so far away and purposeless. Cheers 🥂 to secret gardens. ❤
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, I garden in the Uk so lots off obstacles to over come , I find every day a sit with a cup of tea lets me focus my eye in. What I need to do. What I have to do and always sit back and relax a bit . I cottage garden and doing vlogs has slowed my pace down x
@@Thetudorcottagediaries I’m overly critical of my garden and shy about online sharing it but vlogging seems to be something that would definitely slow me down to “smell the roses “ 😊
I do feel overwhelmed sometimes, I have been out there standing in the middle of a pathway crying LOL there's a lot of work that needs to be done to that property including trash removal. But this is a dream of mine and it can be accomplished, one task or one area at a time🤷🏾♀️ my husband said you can't cry, this is supposed to be fun lol. I just have a desire to create and a love of plants and gardening. Creating this space, this garden... Its like shaping a piece of my own little world...its magical. Most of my enjoyment comes from creating the gardens though. To look at an area that was once so wooden that I couldn't even get to because of how thick the underbrush and trees were...to know that that area is now a beautiful place that I created with my hands brings great joy. Slow down ☺️, we don't have to race through this process, every space completed is an accomplishment all on its own💕 thank you for watching, and comments like this keep me going. ❤️❤️❤️
@@creatingyourgarden thank u for replying 😊yes it’s a blessing to create our own piece of heaven on earth. And again plz know that you’re inspiring us out here. It’s satisfying to see the completed sections I’m adding a tree trunk wall to stop me from going further into the swamp/bogg area (tho there’s ligularia and other swamp hardy plants 😬)
@@tsahaisantiagoSa-Hi there's a swamp/bogg area on this property as well, that I often forget about. Its still in a wooded area so I don't see much of it unless I walk over there so it's easy to forget about. I might be intrigued to go into the swamp area lol since you have some ligularia already over there 🤷🏾♀️ that could be another beautiful garden if done right. We must pace ourselves. Thank you for watching my videos ❤️💕❤️

I love brunneras. Last year I had two seedlings from my own bigger one and they keep on growing
I love them too, I was super excited to find that they self seeded☺️
Looks great are you gonna top Dress your plant with potting Soil? I was just wondering it will help improve the plants
