My dad wasthis band's first guitarist when they were in the early stages when they began in ferryhiil. I often see gary smallman the drummer, he's awesome :)
I miss those days..one of the better bands live. She never stopped moving on stage. Pauline had (And still has) one killer voice. Very underrated band. Thanks for posting and for the great memories.
I was there, back when Reading was the real thing, went from 1975- 1980, lived up the road, bring in your own booze and food, reasonably priced tickets, could get a little crazy but that was all part of the experience
Class, really enjoyed them last night at Newcastle Academy along with UK Subs and Buzzcocks, guys on the mixing desk were poor which was a shame, however it was still great show. Penetration and Buzzcocks first "punk bands" I saw aged 14, Newcastle City Hall, 1978!!!! Happy Days!
THE BOLL**X MATE, CHEERS FOR UPLOAD. 1 OF MY ALL TIME FAVS BANDS, PAULINE IS STILL A DARLING TO THIS DAY(2012). WELL LOOKED AFTER HERSELF,GET AND SEE HER IF YOU GET THE CHANCE YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED.
Fukin Brill ...I was at this Festival it was the first time punk had been given an opportunity to be at a festival like this. Traditionally it was for hippies, hence the mix in the crowd of long hair and spikey hair. In the camp zone at night when we had bonfires going there were battles between the two tribes. Status Quo was on Sat night so there were a lot of bikey type dudes wanting to fight with punks.
huh? where did this come from?? Not sure I approve of these reading festivals, better to hear it than look at stuff on a page, like subtitles. But wow, nice.

They should have been huge! Coming up for air is one of the best albums of the late 70's,such an underrated band. Great upload.
Pauline Murray, her band Penetration, and this performance in particular all deserve immortality on the Internet. Thanks for posting the vid.
Brilliant band, and she was a beauty

@hendrixy11 MY DAD IS NEALE FLOYD(NOW COOLEY) THE GUITARIST AFTER GARY CHAPLIN
Fred Purser. Neale Floyd. Pauline Murray.
Superb-
Good to hear from you!So your dads Gary Chaplin or even earlier?
I'd take you as you are any time, Pauline!
Victoria park?
Ooo great
Pauline forever!
Is the old grey whistle test clip here?
When she says, "this one is Lovers of Outrage", she sounds like Sarah Millican.
LOL...it seemed out of place then. But, the band was so great, they transcended things like haircuts.
The Guy Plays Solo Is Fred Purser?
It is, yes 😊
I See、Lots of Thanx!
The curly hair seems pretty out of place now.
