Across the Ages definitely works for homecoming. The MC goes halfway around the world and across the looking for her mom and her origins, so I think that definitely counts. And Persuasion has some great letters in it, so I would count it for Epistolary January also. It at least fits the correspondence prompt.
I love the name "Pile of Possibilities" over TBR, only because I feel for my favorite booktubers who pile on books and choose 10 books for the month. I like the idea of starting the month with this pile of possibilities based off mood reading or something you feel pulled to read. I like reading vlogs too even if it's dedicated to one or two books. Either way, I'll be here watching! Love all the content and you have a contagious laugh haha Simple joys is what I call your videos when I get time to watch
Yay!! 🎉 Buddy read!! So excited! So many great reading challenges going on this year! I may have over committed myself but I’m not going to stress about it. 😆
Amazing TBR, I believe I will be reading several of these as well. I loved Jamie Ogle’s first book and am really excited about the next one. I love the Timeless series. Looking forward to your celebration on February.
I'm also reading Persuasion but as part of Jen's Reading Life's Jane-uary challenge. I'm reading the annotated version and that helps me understand the time period and their customs so much better! I hope to read When the Day Comes (as I figure that will work for "coming home" as time travel is involved). Going to read The Many Daughters of Afong Moy by Jamie Ford for Krista's Patreon, and hopefully Atomic Habits (as I've started it three different times and haven't read very far in it). Happy Reading to you!
I've read As Sure as the Sea. It's good. I was tickled pink about Nicholas being, you know, St. Nick, even though it's not a Christmas story. I haven't posted my review yet, but it was an enjoyable story.
I’m working on In Love and Treason Now. I want to read Divine Rivals soon. I am going to read Cloaked in Beauty -it fulfills so many prompts for my reading challenges including Chantel’s …also yours… a story about a character who comes home.
Maybe you will be happy to know that stuff always sits where it doesn’t belong in my house, too. 😂 Contact solution I just bought that should be in the bathroom? Sitting on the kitchen counter. You are not alone, sister! 👏
Great plans! Simba! We love to see it (him)! Thanks for mentioning all the challenges in one video. I’m always scrambling to find which challenges are in which month. I guess I could write them down somewhere 🤣
Amanda, you are so sweet to try to look through your books to find something for my reading challenge! I just love you! I loved the Pearl in The Sand and I know you are going to love Across The Ages!!! I didn't like Ruthless Vows as much as the first book, but it was still good. I tried reading Persuasion last year too, but I didn't get too far. I need to try again sometime this year.
I commented on your other video by mistake 😂 I meant comment here that I am in The Protagonist Pub book club too and bought a way way too thin edition of Persuasion. There is barely any margin or spacing bw paragraphs 😅 Let's see!
Across the Ages!!!!!!!! Good luck with your reading in January!
