Forgive me, I should have answered your question. Right now ovals. Getting the girth, the slant, the finish and the thin and thick right is a challenge. They all end up looking like eggs.
Oh my goodness, so grateful to have found you after looking at loads of videos, yours has given me the understanding and I now know I will be able to do it. Thank you so much
I have learned more from you in this video than I did with my instructor in a 6 week (90 minutes class), course. I have very little difficulty with any of the letters (lots of practice)... I have a hard time joining them neatly in words. Thank you for sharing your talent!
I absolutely love your videos! Even though you talk just a liiiiiitle fast, I'll get used to it lol. I have to say the "r's" are the hardest, well, were the hardest for me since you've shown such a better way to do them than I what I was. That being said it makes the "s's" easier as well. Keep up the greatness in art that you do! Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to talk a bit slower in the next videos :D Both r and s are tricky letters that require different motions than most letters. Just to be clear, this isn't the only way to make those letters. It's just a basic form you can use to practice and lay down the fundamentals. I can think of 10 different ways you could write those letters, but it would have been (maybe) a bit too confusing to jam everything in one video. Maybe i can create a video walkthrough when creating a custom alphabet. Would that be something interesting to watch? :D
As someone who has fallen down the rabbit hole of TY calig videos I am so glad to have found you. I have been at this for a few months but seeing very little results. Your video goes by rather quickly but I feel I can learn from you. My biggest struggle has been actually getting the broad and narrow in one letter. I use a Tombo F, 4B pencil and write small, as in correspondence. My transitions from thin to thick are terrible. I've actually broken lead when pressing hard but getting nothing fat. Same with my brush pen. What am I doing wrong?? I use quality paper.
Thanks a lot to do this video I saw your comments see all are prouding you only it's so great and keepit up I know that you will become nice person whole world see your videos and of you learnt this letters and I gave to our school means then we has a handwriting competition I was participated and I see this video and I learn after I written this in my school of you my pride is up now thank you a lot and lot
I love them all. I struggle with all the letters and the pencil. 😂. I can’t get the thick line to show up. I think I’m doing as said. I want to learn so bad. I practice everyday. I have a 2b pencil. 😢
What's the letter you struggle the most with?
s, k and b - why does b never look right to me?
@@AntonineKoval Shoot me a photo of your b's either via email or via Instagram DM's and I'll have a look :)
S is my biggest enemy! Would you also do an uppercase version of this video? It was super helpful!

I'm a beginner. I bought a Pilot parallel pen, 3.8 mm nib, and have been practicing with that. Much easier to start with
Check out my video on pencil calligraphy. Also, start with the basic strokes before attempting letters.
That tool is for a completely different calligraphy style.

I'm a beginner but get a pilot parallel pen 3.8 mm nib
Again, depends on the style you want to learn :D For this style it's the tombow fudenosuke
