Who said this you?do more research, hip hop has more 40+ genres inside hip hop culture, its the battle they choose to play in a specific style of old school classic but they funk it into modern way and they keep that for specific hip hop catogery but there are 40+ genres of just hip hop which came from classic hip hop, and it is by the people frm the culture for the culture, it's the battle where they don't use not the culture, culture uses every kind of genre or every kind of music but it's the catogery of battle where they keep some limitations bcoz it is a style
