Don't like the check when you turn the set of 5's. You're giving a free card to diamonds, Broadway draws, and not getting value from aces. But the danger is that he has a draw that doesn't pay the river unless you end up paying him.
Kyle I started following you because you took the time to add entertainment into your vlogs with pop culture scenes and it's great to see you get back to that a little with this vlog. You have evolved as a vlog and that means your vids are more strategy content which is great. But I love how you seperate yourself from all other vloggers with the entertainment and great additional clips with relevent scenes. thanks for getting back to your vlogging roots. #HelloWorld
Good to see you winning again. I almost counted you out on the flush draw...but it got there!! Love the Vlog, not just the poker, but the funny movie clips makes it an enjoyable video to watch. Are you playing in any big upcoming tournaments?
Thumb Up #11. 1:26. Kick Start Girl show Kick Start every one of your videos! You got her to wear your Hat! Today your hat - tomorrow your ring! lol.......
I like how you played that hand when you had JJ v Q7. You set the price for how much you had to pay to see the showdown and considering your history with this guy, he could of made it 150-200 more on river after his 50 bet. I think you'd have to call in a lot of situations based on the fact he'd over very with bluffs and hands you had beat
JJ on dry Q-high flop. You're correct, it's way ahead or way behind, so get to showdown. Your man didn't play Q7o to fold on a queen-high board. I'd just check a couple of streets, call one bet, but not two.
Your logic in the JJs hand is contradictory, you assess that by turning your hand into a bluff you can get a weak Queen to fold but you might also get an 8 to call you. If your opponent is capable of calling with a middle pair they aren’t folding any Queen. If we are turning value hands into bluffs we are probably bluffing too much.
The contradictory statement is contradictory because both outcomes are theoretically possible. A weak unknown random player has the potential to incorrectly fold top pair as well as incorrectly call with a middle pair. I have seen the same players during the same session make a very loose call and lose. Then turn around and make an extremely tight fold face up to try to rebuild table image. Being the aggressor give more opportunities for opponents to make mistakes. The value hands into bluffs I would agree with, but I normally do not have straight air for bluffs. Usually have some form of small pairs as I do not want to bluff with missed draws as I think it is obvious bluff spots and those are the type of hands I hope my opponents are hold when I am bluffing so they will be forced to fold.
Agreed. Not only that but once we hit the river he thinks about 'turning his Jack's into a bluff' which just shows that he recognizes his previous bet was not a bluff'. it was just a value bet.
@@kylefischl6841 the hand with the jacks... with the board of q, 8, 2, 6... pot is 90 and u said you dont think queens would bet that much which was 50.... why not... 50 into 90 is just 60% of the pot.... if he has a queen, why bet 30 or something lower then 50 to let everyone else call easily and cheaply with overcards, 1 pair with potential, etc etc... 50 seems like a decent bet to protect his hand while getting value cuz a pair of queens, especially with usually not so high of a kicker, but even with a good kicker is a weakish hand and get easily get crushed on the river.
So with his exact holding he loses to everything. Flushes and boats. On the river I really prefer a small bet to induce. Obviously with him first to act I believe the only other hand that makes sense to raise the flop besides a straight is 44. And I also believe 44 obviously jams all rivers that improve him to a full house . So when he checks target something weaker and on the rare chance he is trying to trap with 44 he will go all in. $150 may just have to call it off maybe even then still fold? I'm not a poker player but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night
I still like betting on straight flush draws regardless, it’s gambling after all. Especially as that villain, his middling flush will usually be high enough to win anyways on that board IMO
hey man i just started my own poker vlogs and i tried recording at the hard when i was there and they told me i wasn’t allowed to so how did you get permission?
for your pocket jack hand, from your opponent's perspective: check the flop see if he bets. he checked. chances are he whiffed. let me bet the turn to fold out or get a call from his ax hand or inferior pair. the opponent raised. he was either trapping on the flop or semi-bluffing with flush draw. let me call one more street to see if he gets there or i can improve to 2 pairs in case if he got me outkicked or has an over pair. river: flush draw completes. please don't bet, or bet too big. based on that line of thinking, a big bet on the river will probably take it down. the problem is you don't know your opponent's exact holding.
I've come to realize in poker aggression is the only real way to make money because getting it in good does no good for me I lose to the run out always so just blast away and hope they fold 😂
@@JohnDoe-bi5cc he has a point though if done properly. this is especially good in tournaments when you have a bigger stack. it works to a lesser degree in cash games if you have a bigger stack you just have to be on the look out for pre flop traps more often. it's about hand values also. you have to properly use Ace and King high advantage and not get stupid aggressive with hands that have no value like 93...74... etc also post flop when you flop basically zero equity. not a good spot to run a bluff.
Hollywood is the newer and nicer property. It also had 25/50 running and multiple 5/10s and 10/20s. Action there is bigger than anywhere I have seen, even most of Vegas.
Since you asked... In the JJ hand, if you were turning your Jacks into a bluff on the turn, I probably would have continued the story in the river. And what is with the 10/9 full house showdown? Kind of aggressively showing down that hand, did his KQ bluff really get to you?
Probably just excitement. Getting max paid on the river. I cut time in the video to line up properly with my words but he tanked for like over 1.5 minutes. Also I really did not want to slow roll at all and I try not to say full house and I find speaking your hand somewhat arrogant and disrespectful. So for me it is just a quick turn face up. You paid to see and here you go.
Hollywood yes on the action and the wait. It was a Saturday night and probably waited an hour and a half for seat. Would recommend calling ahead for that property.
At the beginning of your pocket 5s hand you said the opponent “limp 3 bets” you to $60 when your initial raise was from the $5 bb to $20. A limp bet would have been him raising your $15 raise $15 which would have been a total bet from him of $35.
JJ hand i would c bet small & double barrel small in an effort to buy the showdown. Ppl dont raise enough v that line so you should be able to get away with it
I don't see the point in raising the turn with jacks. I think just calling makes a lot more sense because he will only be calling that raise with better and fold worse.
