Thing is, most positions for the next academic year aren't posted till January or February after individuals have been given their new contracts so the district doesn't know for sure who they will need until then. Applying Nov/Dec would probably be for that same academic year to start January or February

Besides TEFL, what is your ESL certification? TEFL won't give you sponsorship to teach in the U.S.

They all give three and at the end of the third year the program can give you an opportunity to extend an extra 2 if you want. But none can give all 5 years right away

How can a non citizen get a SSN? It’s a requirement for enrollment. I have completed all the requirements but being a foreign graduate I don’t have SSN

Usually on applications that require an SSN you put 9 zeros, or 9 ones or 9 random numbers till they go through. Where 'country' is seen, always try to look for 'out of country' or ' out of state' or ' other' . Hope this helps .

Too soon cause it will be counted as application for this year. You'll have to reapply in Jan/Feb anyway

I applied with Global, did my application around April 2023 did 2 interviews. I was notified July 2023 that they had everyone for August 2024 but they would reach out to me when they are hiring again. I was contacted around October 2023 and did all my interviews and was accepted by my county December 2023.

This can work like this with the J1 programs but if you're going for direct hire, September 24 for August 25 would be too soon of an application
