As sassi she had so many shades. She was funny. She was selfish.. rebellious. Negative . Depressed. Mentally unstable .. and ofcourse sajal as chammi in aangan... sajal has so many brilliant performances like alif.. chup raho. Gul e rana . Nanhi. Gauhar e nayab . Yeh dil mera . ZPKB . Kuch ankahi..

Mustafa Afridi and Saife Hassan are geniuses. They can address the most serious problems in society in a very simple and beautiful way, without being too tragic or over-the-top. The relationships they portray are always beautiful.
Just look at Zard Patton ka Bunn, it doesn't address one issue but multiple ones, illiteracy, female education, maternal health, population control, child labour, poverty etc. It's all done in a compelling and humorous way, without being preachy.
Mustafa and Saife are both working together on Tan Man Neelo Neel, a short series currently on air on HUM Tv. It's a brilliant issue based drama.
Mustafa Afridi's Faraar is also on air right now, and it has a completely different feel. It's excellent as well.

@@sadiaafrin6846 dhoop ki deewar was not much. Perhaps because of bad direction. Only Sajal was good. The dialogue delivery of the rest did not suit the Indian context.

Hence you have scope for more nuance and performance. But when it comes to films. Its entirely different ballgame especially when the film itself treats you as a showpiece. Bollywood have good actresses. Its just that they get less content to perform.

The film and dramas, artists, she is good equally in both medium, since in Pakistan, film industry is small, but given some very good films. I discovered Saja Ali when I watched her alongside the amazing Saba Qamar in Sannata! Such a haunting performance. Just like Yumna Zaidi Sajal too is an actor bought into the industry by the best Kashif Nisar. O rangreza was another never to forget performance where she was at par with the incredible Noman Ijaz. Now I cant wait to see her do a comedic role for Kashif nisar this Ramzan. She is truly exceptional in every role she does.
Sajal was outstanding in sannata.. she was very scary and played a psychopath. She even out performed saba qamar. And of course she was brilliant as Sassi in o rangreza. Even tough o rangreza had bilal and Nauman ijaz in it but its still known as a sajal ali drama and sajal ali show.

What a talent sajal Ali is I think pakistani people don't appreciate sajal ali the way she should be appreciated. I mean Pakistan has one of the most if not the most talented actress in the entire region. When sajal decideds to retire from acting then will people realise and then they will appreciate her.
