This show is so well made, and beyond entertaining. Everything about it is so well written, well crafted, and well acted. The fact that the author of the books (Lee Child), is intimately involved in the production, really shows. Great reaction! I'm so glad you're watching these with us.
The episode is called “ATM”, not specifically for the carjacking rescue scene but for his “withdrawal” from the local drug dealers. Whenever Reacher talks about needing an ATM, it means he needs money, or weapons or cars, etc. from the ‘criminal underbelly’, which is sometimes a dealer or a meth lab 😄

My dad was military intelligence for 35 years, and when that was done he took work as a very specific kind of private investigator. So this makes perfect sense to me. When you have a specific set of skills, that kind of work seems to call you.

This is by far the best reaction to season 2 I’ve seen keep it up and I absolutely love this definitely sharing you around and I’ve actually met the actor who plays reacher being a actor myself
For you non readers, Reacher is a series of 26 books, and none is the same the other. Try to read one of the books. They are written in no real order. You can start with the last one or one in between. Reacher will be always the same, but not the places or the other characters. Neagley is an exception, she appears in a few of the books, even his murdered brother will be a main character in another book.
I’m really enjoying the show. I have read three of the reacher books now. I was impressed by how closely they stuck to the book. The changes were all streamlining and things I could see the writer wanting to update anyway.
From the first 3 episodes, I'd say I already like this season better. It's become more nuanced, and paced and Reacher is at his absolute best amongst his kin and a little more vulnerable and there's no need to have violence just for effect, but every fight is deserved and you get a great, puzzling, case, which is quite possibly more personal than the last time, because his team are no lesser than his brother.
In the flashbacks to the 110th, all the soldiers wear UCP camos, which were introduced in 2004/2005 but fully retired to all units in 2019. (Most well before then.) So that gives a little clarity on the timelines.

Reacher is back
Every major city has strict gun control, so the only people who have guns are the police and criminals. So the quickest way to get an unregistered gun is to take one from a criminal. If you can. Reacher can.

Just had to share this: I'm from South Africa, so when I got my visa to visit the states in '06, I had to fill out a questionaire, that actually asked, "Are you a member of Al-Qaeda, or any other terrorist organization?"
I mean... who ticks YES?
Well, I suppose that question will expose the "lowest common denominator"
They don’t expect you to answer truthfully, they expect you to lie. Then, if you are ever established to be a member later, you can be immediately deported, or otherwise sanctioned under immigration law, for having lied on the entry form. That procedural crime is much easier to prove than proving that you did something substantively illegal as a member of Al Queda.
