Glad you see it for what it is. Indoctrination. Of course its the ones who’ve indoctrinated children into their religion who are sounding the alarm about CRT; a college level law course topic. Truth is, their indoctrination traditions aren’t sticking anymore. This is them flailing in panic. In 1960, 5% of the population was atheistic/agnostic. In 2005 it was 15% Today its 34%
"I have seen school lesson plans that have taught divisive racism and CRT.." Translation : "I have seen school lesson plans that teach factual history, and I don't like it.." The lengths to which the racist faction of this country will go in order to diminish the discussion surrounding the institutionalized racism of this country is equal parts arrogant, childish and myopic..
Imagine if Germany decided that WWII can't be taught in its schools because it might make students feel uncomfortable. "Too bad, history is there to be learned from, not forgotten when it's inconvenient"
I think my old school finally replaced all their CRTs with LCDs last year. If people want CRTs out of the classroom so bad, they should increase educational funding.
The point of creating these debate points was to sabotage the infrastructure of established institutions like schools, libraries, post office, etc. It will sabotage any institution, no matter who is in charge.
Exactly. I told my husband about people in places like FL pulling their kids out of schools because of all the censorship. @@joebrewer4529 But trans people are not a conspiracy theory. Just like CRT is not a conspiracy theory. CRT is not an elementary school subject, because it's university-level stuff. A fraction of that might actually reach elementary school levels in a suuuupersimple, dumbed down, age-appropriate form. Yes, there have definitely been conspiracy theories that became true: for years there were strong rumors that some intelligence agencies were overstepping their boundaries and were absolutely monitoring everyone, and then Edward Snowden dropped the bomb on what intelligence agencies were actually capable of and it turned out to be true. But the that is happening around transpeople is simply not true. Some senators tried to criminalize something current law in the state in which they tried to implement new legislation was not allowing already, and was not happening simply because of how guidelines are not in favor of sex-reassignment surgeries on minors. As for the transvestigation thing: People were showing they did not pay attention during biology class, showed to have absolutely no clue what hormones can or can't do, and also showed that some of the things I have been asked as a transperson are widely believed, among people who might be genuinely ignorant but also genuinely willing to learn out of curiosity, but also among people who think that men all come in 1 shape, and women all come in just 1 shape. It is pretty scary to see people thinking that some of the questions I got were justified to "accuse" people with based on some of the body characteristics those "transvestigators" thought were tell-tale signs for "concerns" over someone's birth sex. I have had people ask me why I don't have an Adamsapple, I have had people ask me why my shoulders are so narrow, why I'm not so tall, why my feet and hands are small. Both men and women asked these types of questions, because most people have mindblowingly stubborn stereotypical views of both sexes in their mind, and usually only learn that they themselves do not adhere to those stereotypes when they meet someone that confuses them. As for the supposed idea that all kinds of celebrities are secretly trans (which I believe was one of the key things in those "transvestigator" video's): we had someone in the Netherlands who tried to blackmail someone who is trans because this person thought the whole world needed to know she was "faking it" and "fooling everyone". How the fuck do you think that hundreds of celebrities would be able to keep such a thing secret when it didn't even work for 1 (!!!!!) person...
They all go to church on Sunday and learn this crap from their pastors who are using them for tax-free donations. Doesn't matter if it's true, they "believe" it. And their pastors also tell them that if they believe something, it must be true.
Yep, even here in Australia, you can be flipping through car radio stations and you’ll land on some evangelical style(Hillsong over here) Christian station spewing the most terrifying conspiracy garbage about 🏳️🌈 people or Muslims taking over the country or some MAGA-like nonsense. Scary stuff
Also the corrupted pastors get a tax-free property. Sort of exactly what one might call "reverse communism." Completely unfair to non-religions or to pure-philosophies. Technically unfair to everyone, since people (including secular non-profits) have to keep track of the money flow but State-Accepted religions do not.
We need the names of churches doing this, so we can forward the info to the IRS proving the church is dabbling in politics & then they'll lose their tax exempt status
I initially had to search for what "CRT" stood for. All my adult life until now "CRT" stood for "Cathode Ray Tube": tube television. Even now, when I hear or read "CRT" an old B&W television with a rabbit ears TV antenna flashes into my head.
Gerald, the color CRT had 3 color guns, red, yellow, blue. This crowd would have hated that too as it replaced black with predominant white cathode ray tubes.
That one parent was probably concerned about his kid learning about the Trail of Tears, and just thought “hey! Your teachers are trying to stoke racial devision!”
That parent was clearly lying. If challenged to provide the lesson he was complaining about, he’s either fail to provide anything at all, or provide something that only a moron or a lunatic would consider to be promoting racial division. Of course, I’m also reasonably certain that he’d claim that saying that black people were once owned as property here in the US was promoting racial divide.

Damn to many kids going to college and learning how to think critically this must be stopped at all costs or they will never fall for our lies and gaslighting
This is the exact thinking I encountered when I was in church. Parents were terrified their children would leave the religious faith when they moved out and had a chance to see things other than the narrow-minded controlled environment they lived in.
To be fair my finance classes aren’t teaching me a damn thing about critical thinking. They’re teaching me “this is how the system is. Work with what you got.”
It had been the weirdest thing to observe. I work in the Virginia school system in the IT department and I jave heard plenty of concerned conservative parents over this issue. We get accused of pushing this bit we don't know what it is. We don't teach it. Each teacher has a slightly different curriculum and style of teaching but we don't teach division nor do we teach that a particular group of people are at fault for something. We teach history as we have been teaching for decades. In my district we don't teach and elevate any one religion, political view or any of that stuff. While I'm not required to, I come down to our 3rd grade lunch everyday and lunch at a different table of kids that are of all different ethnicities...and not once do we talk about these things... I'm just blown away as to what conservatives are all upset about now. Again, it's weird because we don't advocate or teach CRT...
We had a similar thing happening in The Netherlands here recently surrounding a theme week that focuses on sexual education from first grade to 8th grade (there's 8 grades in elementary school here, ranging from about 4-5 years old to about 11-12, depending on when your birthday is, sort of). The first 4-5 grades basically got taught stuff about bodily autonomy and safety, along with the correct names for body parts, and explanations on situations in which someone might touch you (where-ever, basically) in like a doctors appointment, and in which situations that is not appropriate without consent (other child or adult). That was basically it for those classes, and only in 8th grade was there a sliver of educating children about trans and intersex people, consisting out of a small newsclip of a transgirl who played a trans character on a children's show, and a 7 minute long short documentary about a girl born intersex. The remaining questions afterwards were basically: "Does it matter if you address someone with the wrong pronoun?" and "If you can't see if someone is a boy or girl, or man or woman, is it OK to ask, or should you just use what you think is right?" (Along with some questions about the difference between birth sex and gender identity and expression, it was supersimple because well, if it tends to massively confuse 13-14 year olds in high school, chances are making it to complex for 8th grades will not work :P ). That was all. But some idiot on the internet decided to spread graphic drawings of gay sex supposedly being shown to 4th graders along with the rumor that 4th graders were actively encouraged to try out a new gender identity and what not (all from the "they are coming for our children and want to make them trans!!!"-type of fear that unfortunately has spread from the US and UK to The Netherlands). This riled up some people so much that schools started receiving threats, the elementary school around the corner saw increased police surveillance and ultimately, had someone enter the office of the organisation that helps schools deal with the subject by providing age appropriate materials and lesson packages and shouting at the receptionist "PROTECT THE CHILDREN!!!" all while filming people there without their consent, because, according to many people, the organisation in question, consisted out of pedophiles... In all of this, there were 2 things superscary: adults being this worried over something that was not happening, but especially, number 2: EVERYONE could look up the lesson materials online. Everyone, the organisation explicitly publicizes them on their website to be able to have parents take a look at them ahead of the theme week so parents are not caught of guard... Trying to link those packages to the people shouting the loudest about "all the horrible things they are doing to our children!!" didn't work: when you did that, you got accused of the fact that the organisation obviously took those pages out... Some parents who vocally opposed these lessons and also mentioned they were going to keep their child home by saying so on social media, had some of them be reported to school attendance officers, and received fines for keeping their child home for no good reason. I loved reading that, but oof, the reason was just sad. Seeing adults being so mindnumbingly stupid and falling for "something I saw on Facebook". Unfortunately all talkshows in my country were not helping fighting the ignorance: all of them instead of inviting the organisation that was now under attack, had "Worried parents" in their studio, and none of the hosts slapped those people in the face with the truth by looking up the lesson material... They should've been verbally slayed and shamed for the nonsense they believed, but nope, they basically had their worries validated...
I'm not sure of your age, however I'm 37 and when I was younger I was certain that my generation was going to do better than my parents generation, however now I witness people my age who are so mind numbingly ignorant I'm embarrassed to be associated with them. Social issues that had been fought and won in the 60's are now being reversed all because a small vocal minority refuses to treat everyone with dignity and respect. And instead of focusing on real issues for working people, random assholes keep asking me "what is a woman".
It doesn’t matter what’s in or not in the curriculum, it matters what they believe is in it. Initially I presumed they could just go to the schools and demand their courseworks from every grade. Or check the homework the kids take home. But no, if they believe it, don’t bother with fact, it has to be true or they’d be wrong. And of course believers can’t be wrong. Isn’t faith wonderful? I did a doctorate in a state school and never heard CRT once. I guess my professors forgot in my years there. Unbelievable.
Virginian here, so feel my pain as I rant for a moment. I am surrounded by these people and a damn Republican oligarch ran on the BS and had a bunch of ignorant and gullible parents up in arms, making threats, using bully tactics to intimidate teachers and school board members to the point of criminal behavior and of course the police stood by and did nothing. The Republicans had these people believing in shite that doesn't exist in our K-12 schools, and freaking won the Governorship running on it and they even took our House of Delegates. Thank the gods we retained our Senate, but holy hell, they could possible take the Senate this fall. In a way, it is also emblematic of how this started. Stoking fear, hatred and a downright paranoia over "people" and now having people so worked up they stop trusting anyone who is not as fearful, hateful and paranoid as they are. This, in a war, would be how some organisations would fight from the underground resistance: making sure that some events caused by them causes the occupational forces to think there are moles on their side...

I'm Australian, a well-known saying here is that "white Australia has a black past" . Nobody disputes that it is a fact that previous generations stole the land and did terrible terrible things to the indigenous population. Understanding past history does not imply guilt on the current generation, it's simply informs us of how we got to where we are now. The only thing that the history enforces on the current generation is the responsibility to value and protect everyone in our community .

It's crazy and lazy at the same time. @8:11 How does this even support their position? 16% is a small fraction to begin with but a fraction of what? She only says high school graduates not HS grads who didn't go to college which we must then assume is what she ment and then she says they 'earn more then half' which is still less and could be quite a bit less if she was specific about what "more then half" means, probably less than three quarters but who knows either way it's not proof that college degrees are not more valuable then hs diploma but they sure carry on as if that's the case. It is as if they are operating under the strategy that reading off some statistics will have a hypnotic effect on their own audience even if those stats do not support the conclusion.
My town has a school board election tomorrow. One of the concervative PACs sent out a mailers endorsing two candidates. What are these OLD ppl doing at school boards. Im guessing their kids are grown like mine. its creepy. Old ppl wanting to know what children do at all times. Children that dont belong to them.
Two quotes come to mind: “If you aren't destroying your enemies, it's because you have been conquered and assimilated, you do not even have an idea of who your enemies are. You have been brainwashed into believing you are your own enemy, and you are set against yourself. The enemy is laughing at you as you tear yourself to pieces. That is the most effective warfare an enemy can launch on his foes: confounding them.” ― Bangambiki Habyarimana, Pearls Of Eternity “Good wins in the end because evil is a self-destructive, cannibalistic force that Inevitably engorges upon itself.” ― Ken Poirot
They don’t care. That’s the point of the video. There isn’t anything happening in the school district. Nothing has changed as far as curriculum. But people are still constantly bringing it up like some weird bogeyman
I'm sure, if it existed, that guy who sent his degree back would get that procedure from "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" to have those college years zapped from his memory. 😉
If this continues I hope enough teachers and school officials quit that people have to home school their own kids maybe if parents had to spend 24/7 with their kids they'd have some respect for teachers and school officials.
That’s the thing! They also b!tched & made threats when schools were closed for Covid. They couldn’t handle distance learning. No way can they homeschool. So they demand educators run the schools to their exact specifications. They think the Pledge is no longer said in schools because they never show up to events or volunteer at their own kids’ schools, or they joined PTA & are mad they weren’t elected president, because the other parents can’t stand them.
That is literally their goal. They have been purposefully destroying the Dept of Ed because an educated populace is harder to control. The trans genocide they're working on is just a bonus for them. Forcing everyone to home school or go private will simply result in even more severe polarization of the owner and the worker classes. Rich people will always be able to hire tutors or pay private tuition.
This is actually the end goal of the right wing; they want public school to collapse so that it will be replaced with private schools usually of the religious nature
I don't remember who said it, but I remember a quote like "The Republican party was full of grifters, now it's filling up with people who fell for the grift." I guess a lot of them just never expected to have to deal with the obvious consequences of their actions so fast and so personally.
Almost all republican voters have no idea what crt is or can define it...I can only hope that this party implodes and doesn't take down much of society with it..I hope they teach woke history in my children's school..I want my children woke and aware and empathetic to others especially those that are not as privileged as they are..I have never had a child of mine say they feel bad for being white however I have heard them say that slavery was disgusting and that racism does still exist...my children will be prepared for the world and I hope we have taught them to be kind and to have faith in whichever higher power they choose to follow...these people just read crap on Facebook and take it as research...good god🤪
I'm still trying to process that stat Jeanine Pirro threw out, because I'm pretty sure it's not saying what she thinks it's saying. There's some amount of income where half of people with bachelor's degrees earn less than that. Aka their median income - let's call it $70,000. 16% of high school graduates earn more than $70,000. But by definition, 50% of people with bachelor's degrees earn more than $70,000. So by getting a bachelor's degree, I can triple my odds of making $70,000 per year? That sounds like a pretty fantastic investment if you ask me.
Yeah the low stat of 16% threw me. Like I always assumed that people generally understand the difference between big number and small number. And also general odds in terms of betting and making decisions. To lean on a small percentage to back your argument is wild.
@@Scarfgirl It was an analogy of the Red Scare. Neighbors become paranoid that aliens infiltrated their neighborhood when the power goes out after they see a meteor.

Its simply a reaction to protect white supremacy

Joe Biden should propose a grant program to establish a new state university in each state in the U.S.
More supply means lower cost.
That is an idea I would love to see.
Since we know he's not going to do that, you should run with that as your platform.
State universities already get federal funding. More universities isn’t the problem. Clueless people demonizing & defunding education is.
@@hks2377 No, the cost is the problem.
The idiotic, hateful snake is now eating its own tail....who could’ve seen this coming??? (Other than everyone else)
So I guess their next school board will be a bunch of conspiracy based authoritarian, religious nutcases. thic reminds me of Medieval Europe.
Here's the great thing about all these resignations nationwide. Now, someone who is actually qualified and would do the job can get hired.
That Colorado story reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" with Q Anon playing the part of the aliens.
But the aliens knew what they are doing whereas QANON has been taken over by the inmates
I don't know that one. Can I get an episode recap kind sir?
Oh, wow. Exactly! My daughter had to read that in 6th grade. Such a good lesson for kids, but a lot of parents need it more.
@@Scarfgirl It was an analogy of the Red Scare. Neighbors become paranoid that aliens infiltrated their neighborhood when the power goes out after they see a meteor. They dismiss a kids’ hypothesis about the outage, based on a comic book, until when one guy’s car seemed to start on his own. They jump to conclusions he’s the alien. Eventually, one neighbor shoots another before he can even see who it is, then everyone starts suspecting he’s the alien.
Nazis purging Nazis for not being politically Pure.😂😂😂
Sometimes it be your own people.
I love how he says christian K-12, because the church definitley never endoctrinated anybody right
Sad thing is, they might’ve been really good board members. I don’t know if they were, but this kind of madness needs to stop.
Not likely, since the principle said their campaign promises included getting CRT out of the curriculum. They saw too late that they ran on a lie & the lie is now bigger than them. They egged people on & only care about the consequences that affect themselves personally.
They most certainly were not good members because they didn't know that crt isn't taught in grade school. Plus they think fox is a legit source for news
KARMA!!! The monster is completely OUT OF CONTROL!!!
This is easily solved. Colleges/Universities just need to make the parts of history or society the Christian Taliban has a problem with mandatory courses for admission.
Problem solved
Do not accept their resignations!
Kyle Clark is like an actual journalist its shocking
Kyle Clark is a Colorado treasure
The real problem is Christian Right Tyrrany
God forbid MAGA should ever actually read any actual CRT authors, lmaooo.
It would hurt their feelings for some bizarro reason

Did he purge his education from his mind? If so, he would be a "GG" like Boobert!
Hey that's a few less crazies running our education. Maybe we can actually get some real CRT in that area after this.
The problem is the fucking crazy broads didn't resign
@Michael Euthanasia 🙄 You definitely do not know what it is. lol
If those people retired(who believed the crt myth, they just happened to know it wasn't true at their school) you think someone better will take their places?? Everyone there believed the bs. No chance someone better takes em, they'll be replaced by other wackos who'll preform the witch hunt they so badly want. It's only a matter of time before they're throwing chained & weighted people in lakes to see if they float aka the Salem Witch trials
@michaeleuthanasia7089 It's only being taught as an extra credit course IN COLLEGE.
don't encourage them
I wish these school boards would force these so called parents that if they spew this garbage then they have to come with facts and evidence to support their claim otherwise you cannot say 💩
It would just pivot to an all out fight about their God given rights of freedom of speech and being silenced. No matter what ridiculous narrative you can debunk, they can always spin up a new one to save blind hypocrisy.
Love the show!!
Its time to start requiring you have a child attending the school board to participate in these meetings. 🤦
Good luck… the loudest are usually the ones that won’t volunteer an hour for anything in a classroom. 22+ years of volunteering (yes I had a full time stressful job throughout) - socioeconomic status didn’t matter, parents spent little time in the schools or helping in any way, no matter what their background…
ban Great Replacement Theory from being taught in our schools.
It's Democrats thing tho.
@@beautifultrouble-vx4zj racist stop doing it
@@toneyingram732 No, it's literally a Democrat thing from 2009.
@@basedtruthpiller7140 No it isn't. We're teaching chiIdren it's a conservative ideoIogy, and it's working. Look at aII the youth we're Ieading away to the Ieft. Conservatism is becoming history. HaiI soIidarity!
It's not being taught in our schools, Fox is LYING TO YOU.
The truest statement Trump ever made was "I love the poorly educated." Education is basically the opposite of conservatism.
Is it still being discussed that there is race discrimination in the US? I thought that's so obvious by now. Outside the US thats a given but one do hope that at a certain point meritocracy would overcome this in certain aspects. Certainly in University environments its negligible if at all there. Maybe the CRT issue would dissipate when racial discrimination also becomes a non-issue.
Fear is a powerful motivator.
School Boards are a litmus test. I worked in K12 for a long time. I was in IT. They really said that Prayer would help with the SOLS.
That's why conservatives are pouring so much money into School Board races. Control the right ones, and their one step closer to eliminating public schools and replacing them with mandatory Bible camps.
OMG, that'd make me sick working for a pla e like that.
The more educated people are, the more liberal they are. That's another part of it.
because anyone with half a brain can see that the modern education system is in shambles
In my day CRT was Cathode Ray Tube, fancy name for early computer monitors.
Prove it
@@Atmost11- why?
When I first saw this My first response was “what possible controversy could come from cathode Ray tubes?”
Peter Hegseth definitely earned his degrees if he thinks posting a certificate back erases the records 😂
Bigotry inevitably means self-destruction. Continuing to point at new enemies to distract people from systemic problems, continuing to stigmatize and exclude, and you inevitably end up attacking your own people for not being pure enough.
Idk why but Sam saying "those letters exist. we all know it." was hilarious to me and I'm going to say that anytime a stupid person starts talking about CRT or LGBTQ
I’m not sure that’s a good idea. Then they’ll just start calling them alphabet people. Lol.
This couldn't happen to nicer people !
