DC fans and the brand itself needs a full restart, and this looks exactly like what it needs to do that. Very much looking forward to seeing what Gunn, Corenswet, and co. have to offer in July...
David Corenswet, the new Superman Actor, was the one who convinced James Gunn to add the trunks back because he believes Superman despite being an OP alien he wants to not be scary looking for the people or even children and the trunks will make him look goofy but at the same time a friendly superhero. Because of that, it sold me. This is the start of DCU so they added the other heroes but James Gunn said that he won't put in much in screentime but just to introduce them but won't pull the focus away to Superman. Btw, the Yamcha pose (from Dragonball Z his defeated pose become a meme) made my conviction solid to watch this film lol.
It's hard to move on cause Henry Cavill is an amazing human being. But David Corenswet is gonna win us over.He has more range as an actor and is gonna play a better Superman/Clark Kent.
I'm sorry but I am glad they moved on from Cavill. I don't blame him at all, but the Snyderverse Superman never felt quite like Superman to me. It was Snyder's interpretation of the character. They needed to move on from that, that includes Wonder Woman as well. Please get an actual bad ass woman in the role not Gal Gadon't
Whats the point of this reaction with someone stuck up in the past and in a cult of Cavill and Snyder? Spoiled the whole reaction If you are so stuck in the past, and unwilling to move on, why even react? Let Justin react on his own
I guess she doesn't understand Superman at all. The look on her face can tell that she likes the edgy Superman, rather than the actual bright and hopeful super hero that he truly is. Superman represents hope, and this trailer alone shows that he will bring hope to the world. He shows love and compassion. This is the guy who will help an old lady cross the street. The music is a direct homage to the classic Christopher Reeves Superman. James Gunn did the right decision to reset the DC movies, cause Snyder Verse really screwed up everything from the start.
Actually enthusiastic for this one. The trailer vibe was just what I would want in a Superman film. It made me 'feel' like I felt with Christopher Reeves' first movie... Also, "it's a doggie!"... And, most importantly, "It's not Rapunzel; it's a boy!" 💙
100% people just like him as a person and transplant that onto his superman. His superman was nothing special(mostly due to writing and directing but my point stands)
@ Yeah. People hype Cavill up because he looks like a lot like Superman, but everything else about that version, from the acting, writing, directing just was not Superman. At least the traditional one we all know and love. No hate to anyone who liked those movies but I’m happy to be moving on!
If you love comics ,multiverse , Superpets, this movie and the other installments in this new timeline is going to blow you away for the next 6 years 😂🔥😮💨
"We didnt ask for a new superman". "We didnt want a new superman" Yes, yes we did. Cavil's superman has been rejected in multiple movies now by the public. All the online circlejerk for Cavill hasnt translated into real audience. Time to move on, he might be a lovely and handsome person but he never got audience to see him.
I’m a DC comics fan, I love Superman and I loved Henry Cavill in the role. But this chick needs to move on. David Corenswet is a good actor, and he looks phenomenal in the role. This is a new DC universe, so getting a new Superman fully makes sense. Superman is bigger than the actor who plays him.
I don’t get how people can say he looks phenomenal when they’ve not seen the movie yet? You only saw a teaser Trailer . A trailer is made to sell you the movie - it’s made to make you feel something. How many times have we seen a trailer and then the movie gets released and disappoints us all? I want a good superman movie but I am not going to lose myself to this trailer just because I want one really bad.
Superman will always be bigger than any other director or actor out there. Henry doesn't fit the story that Gunn is going to tell, hence the need to recast. Imagine shitting on Tom Holland because you prefer Andrew Garfield
I like the fact that they’ve moved away from the dark backgrounds of all of the most recent DC films. It’s bright and hopeful. Everybody knows the only reason why Superman can be hurt… Kryptonite.
The girl with a vomit-like face waiting for Henry's dark superman to appear, with greys and a dull suit and a cape that is almost violet due to the lack of light, is pathetic. If you want dark spaces, visit Batman's filmography. That's what happens when people don't read comics and only want models in latex suits😂😂😂😂
I understand that Henry Cavill left an important mark as Superman for many, but I also think it’s crucial to give the new actor and James Gunn’s vision a fair chance. Gunn has proven he can tell deep and engaging stories, so this new chapter might pleasantly surprise us. When you say, 'we didn’t ask for a new guy', it’s worth noting that many fans were actually asking for a change, as the previous approach didn’t resonate with everyone. Comments like that can come across as disrespectful to David Corenswet, who is an excellent actor with great potential to bring something special to the role. Letting go isn’t easy, but Superman is bigger than any single actor. At the end of the day, what truly matters is that the legacy of Superman lives on.
This new Superman is like a love child between Christopher Reeve and Henry Cavil 😂. I freakin love this and am excited. It gives you vibes of warm hopefulness! I can’t help but feel like when I watched the Christopher Reeve movies Can’t F’n wait to see what dc has to unfold for us James Gunn is starting off with a sick ass movie
To some, Reeve is the true Superman, to you and your era it’s Cavill and to the younger it going to be Corenswet. Give him a chance. Actors are always going to change because of age. Tell you truth I liked all 3 previous actors (Reeve, Routh, Cavill) This guy will probably do great too.
This is the real Superman this trailer reminds me of the DC animated shows and movies don't get me wrong Henry Cavill was a great Superman the problem was Snyder and WB made those movies way too dark and and depressing and Superman was too godlike this seems to show a little more of his humanity which is what Superman is all about
Can't wait to see this movie, and I'll be honest, if you are a comic book MOVIE fan, and know nothing of the character other than film, your opinion is invalid. Huge comic book fan, with Superman being my all time favorite. I still believe that Reeve is the quintessential Superman for being able to convincingly play 2 "different" people. That said, I love watching MOST comic book movies, and give every new actor a chance. I really liked Henry Cavill and I was sad to see him go, but I'm going to give David a chance. Seeing him injured on a fall makes me hope this isn't some type of John Byrne type Superman, but I'm sure there's another explanation. However it's awesome to see Guy Gardner just like he looks in the comics from the nineties.
Something I do like is that they're making an effort to show why people wouldn't suspect Clark Kent to be Superman by simply having him dress and look different from how he would look like being the Man of Steel. It isn't just the glasses that's part of the disguise.
Your beautiful baby girl's reaction is why they had to reboot. Superman is for her. He's our only true modern myth. His point is to bring hope. The power doesn't matter at all. It's what he does with it.
Henry Cavill's Superman got away from the magic and the original Superman just like the Batman version in that Snyder's universe...This version is more accurate to the cartoons, not to mention Krypto. The theme used in this trailer also brings all that magic we (or most of us) all felt when we were first introduced to the big screen Superman with Christopher Reeves. A tribute?
The visuals in this teaser are unreal! The moment the suit appeared, I got chills. Curious to see how they'll balance the legacy of Superman while bringing something fresh to the table.
That guy with That "Green Gun" is Nathan Fillion ....... They are trying to combine so many characters in one movie hopefully it's something good you know
This is a return to the classic Superman, the brightly colored one of hope. Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), Hawk Girl and Mister Terrific as the other super powered folk. The alien looking guy is Metamorpho.
the guy with the bowl cut was Green Lantern and the wrinkled guy was Metamorpho. they said Superman wont be as OP as Snyder's Superman. plus this universe Superheroes already exsit.
I like the duality that this new guy seems like he'll bring with Clark and Superman. You have to make it feel like those two are different people otherwise I don't feel like it works. He seems as though he'll bring much more of a grounded, humanizing element that's been lacking since Christopher Reeve.
I love Henry Cavill but Man of Steel sucks as well as 90% of the DC movies we’ve gotten lately. It is what happens when people that don’t get Superman write Superman. It’s been 12 years since Man of Steel. Get over it. They can’t start fresh with Cavil now. Let the man work on his Warhammer series. If you want to blame anyone blame WB for not hiring someone like James Gunn sooner and move on. And before you even believe that Synder’s vision would had been great if it continued. Maybe, there is always a chance but I would say look at Rebel Moon. I’m so good if the man doesn’t touch Superman or DC again.
Lots of nasty jetks in the comments. Just because Jane has a different opinion than you doesn't mean y'all have to be so obnoxious. If this was the response I got when I did a YT channel I wouldn't keep doing it.
The problem is not having a different opinion the real problem which make the people are not appreciating her opinion that she made up her opinion from the beginning that she doesn't want someone replacing cavill so why bother making a reaction on it from the start
@3:12 Jane asking why they couldn't keep her Superman while I'm over here pondering in Christopher Reeve 😂. It doesn't matter who you guys name, be it Routh or Cavill: they're ALL pretenders to Christopher Reeve's Superman!
No one denies the Cavilness. Gunn doesn’t even deny it. Two things to keep in mind, though. One, for storytelling attributes, it’s a lot more difficult to pull off a Clark Kent when your physique in “wimpy Clark” phase, is still pretty sturdy. No doubt, plenty of women can look past that. Two, plain old studio politics and bottom lines. The last big DC success was the Nolan Batman trilogy. After that, everything went dark and brooding. I can see that with Batman, but Superman is supposed to be the contrast of light to dark, on all levels. Visually, mentally and story wise. Batman v. Superman started off with the results of the damage of the fight between Superman and Zod. When dealing with the character of Superman, that’s not a good focus of “hope”.
It's funny watching the trailer because of how many scenes I recognize being filmed in Cleveland (Ohio). The kid on the beach was in Mentor. The guy throwing the can at Superman, that was in Cleveland itself by public square. The inside of the buildings where Sup is and the Green Latern shoots his ring, that is one of the buildings in Cleveland. The list goes on and on. ^_^ Some of the Marvel movies were also filmed in Cleveland, like the Avengers.
He shows love to the android not because he is an alien, he shows love because he is superman, he has empathy, he represents what every man should be
And also because this robot is Kelex, he used to be a servant of his dad Jor-El, and he works in Superman’s Fortress of Solitude.
every man should be delusional because a corporation said so???? So ridiculous.

But David Corenswet is gonna win us over.He has more range as an actor and is gonna play a better Superman/Clark Kent.
yea this trailer really sold me on him, he looks perfect
I'm sorry but I am glad they moved on from Cavill. I don't blame him at all, but the Snyderverse Superman never felt quite like Superman to me. It was Snyder's interpretation of the character. They needed to move on from that, that includes Wonder Woman as well. Please get an actual bad ass woman in the role not Gal Gadon't
Whats the point of this reaction with someone stuck up in the past and in a cult of Cavill and Snyder? Spoiled the whole reaction
If you are so stuck in the past, and unwilling to move on, why even react?
Watching a lot of UA-cam reactions to this trailer. I regret watching this this one. Such bitterness from Jane.
Same. I was initially excited, but then her negativity began.
0:41 “ we didnt ask for a new guy” WE DIDNT ASK YOU 😭😭😭😭
The dislike wasn’t for the trailer, it was for Jane🤷🏻♀️.
I’m happy we have a new Superman. Cavill was wooden and had no warmth, unfortunately, and the movies, quite frankly, weren’t good.
Man of steel was awesome so was zach snyders justice league version
Everybody's entitled to their opinion. But she's wrong 😂.
If you love comics ,multiverse , Superpets, this movie and the other installments in this new timeline is going to blow you away for the next 6 years 😂🔥😮💨
"We didn't ask for a new actor"... You didn't ! Love Henry but it was time to move on from the Snyderverse
This is The Superman that we always wanted.
*cough* Christopher Reeve *cough*
"We didnt ask for a new superman". "We didnt want a new superman"
Yes, yes we did. Cavil's superman has been rejected in multiple movies now by the public. All the online circlejerk for Cavill hasnt translated into real audience.
Time to move on, he might be a lovely and handsome person but he never got audience to see him.
Your superman had one mood. Gloomy. Corenswet is a good actor with a great voice.
No hate but your partner is saulty af lmao 😅
I’m with Jane on this one.
First time I've been here.
Now I'm gonna, See Jane Go Away, forever.
She's so salty😂
Henry Cavill didn’t feel like Superman, maybe that’s Zack Snyder fault.
Studios don’t need your permission about getting new actors 😂
She don't need the studios permission to voice her opinion 😭
I could be wrong, but, I THINK . . . Jane is cold?
@@bartondonnelly5293 that’s why she’s always coughing every fkin video 😭💀
Oh my God yes I thought the same thing that has a bit of resemblance to Henry Cavill and Chris Reeves Is they child
The guy with the green beam is Guy Gardner, a Green Lantern, and the guy with the weird face is Metamorpho. And I am SO hyped to see this movie.
The green lantern movie with ryan was terrible ..even he regrets it lol
Jane is a Henry Cavill and Snyderverse fan I respect that. Restore the snyderverse.
It's dead. Get over it.
Finally they got a good actor to play Superman. No more constipation face Cavill 🤣
Yes, we did ask for a new guy.
yall should check out the first two superman films with the actor Christopher reeves who is the GOAT live action superman.
she has no idea what´s going on
Showing Superman in the Yamcha pose to start? Count me in.
🤣🤣 I know right!
Just because Cavil wore a muscle body suit doesnt make him SUPERMAN! He was not SUPERMAN at all!!!!!!! He was just Homelander in a superman suit.
More like batman in a superman suit with all the doom and gloom
Body suit 😂😂😂 er OK ..he's an absolute unit
no they're just reboot the new dcu, the old dcu didn't work and man of steel wasn't great so they're making a new dcu
We did ask for a new guy. Jane is always being salty, so annoying. You can say your opinion without being like that.
The music is an electric guitar version of the original theme by John Williams from the 1978 movie with christopher reeve.
I couldn't finish watching. She annoyed me too much with the salty comments. Get over it sister.
The Guy in the black is rumored to be Ultraman
I Got Goosebumps And Tears 😭 I So Hype To See What He Bringing To The Table. The New Era Of DC Begins.Awesome Reaction ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
i'm annoyed with this girl, so bias with the previous characters(actors), give the new ones a chance and move on.. It is what it is..
Kevin Costners Jonathan literally died, what was she yapping about 💀💀
Most of the scenes are from my hometown. They're superman's hometown also 😊🦸♂️
Something I do like is that they're making an effort to show why people wouldn't suspect Clark Kent to be Superman by simply having him dress and look different from how he would look like being the Man of Steel.
A tribute?
The guy in the black outfit, in the stadion, is Ultraman. The Android is a keeper from the fortress of solitude named Kelex
“He looks like yamcha” 0:31💀
It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane! It's Zumerman,no wait it's Yamcha 🤣
Yes we indeed needed a Superman who can act...gives people hope
When dealing with the character of Superman, that’s not a good focus of “hope”.
the guy in the black suit is Ultraman, a superman clone.
This is a younger superman in his younger years its a whole new dc
It's funny watching the trailer because of how many scenes I recognize being filmed in Cleveland (Ohio). The kid on the beach was in Mentor. The guy throwing the can at Superman, that was in Cleveland itself by public square. The inside of the buildings where Sup is and the Green Latern shoots his ring, that is one of the buildings in Cleveland. The list goes on and on. ^_^ Some of the Marvel movies were also filmed in Cleveland, like the Avengers.
Also with them filming in Cincinnati for the hall of justice🤯
Lol 2:19 "She'd be dead from that." Lol😂 she's right, but it's Superman!
Dead from what?
@@oliviarogers2808flying to space with no protection device
@rattakuliamurai5560 she wasn't in that shot.
Wow she’s insufferable…
Are you guys gonna watch it in theatres or watch it for the channel
On the channel
I think the mixed reception of the snyderverse was what asked for a new superman
