Hi Lew. Shy of declaring Buckaroo a certainty to win the M.C. that was an ENORMOUS run. Just look at how quickly he made the ground up in the straight once he got out of the pack. ENORMOUS RUN
Hi Lew. Just checked S.BET futures. $11 Buckaroonie. Apart from Jan Brueghel this had got to be the "weakest" M.C since Elegant won covid times. No Without a Fight doesn't help nor the horse that ran second to him last year after missing the jump by 4 lengths. Oh well some years are better than others. The problem with the M.C is The VRC call it the greatest 2 mile andycap in the world. But the reality is horses like Kyprios and co are not catered to coming here. The VRC, if they want the best staying horses to come here have got to make changes and I reckon they haven't figured out how to go about it. Instead of a minimum topweight, a Maximum topweight would be more attractive to the best stayers going around. They keep changing the rules anyway so why not give it a try. Anyway enough for now. Race replay time. Thanks for vids Lew You have built a fantastic staying library for everyone to use our there and I constantly refer back to it when doing form. Cheers mate.
@@zandel_zandel I think COF will either win run last or not make the final field. More the later which would sneak in another Maher runner like Saint George (26th on the list after JAN BRUEGHEL scr)
Horse is flying but Buckaroo won’t get 2 miles. He was able to finish over a mile an a half today cos it looked a very slow tempo . Cox plate would be better for him imo
I concur. All near the front finished ahead, only Buckaroo making an impression and it's not because he's a two miler, it's because he's better than a lot of out of form stayers.
@@zandel_zandel Yep, I had JB as the winner. What a pity VRC Vets have scratched him from the race. Woke Veterinary Protocols strike again. www.racing.com/news/2024-10-29/news-contenders-jan-brueghel-ruled-out-of-cup
@@lewdubspersonalbest9070 Hi Lew.the O'seas vets passed him. The Aus vet or vets didn't. I don't think O'Brien will bother with M.C anymore he's had a gutfull by now.
Thanks for the Vid xx
Buckaroo was coming , but so was that Fancy man . Could be a cup sneaky stayer

Fancy man stayed on nicely.
Only 1 surprise in the race, Circle of Fire not running top 9 for my same race multi 🙃 Luckily i had the top 5 in plenty of other combo's 👍
