Hey guys thanks for watching, keep an eye out for my Instagram giveaway. You can win an autographed pair of dope shoes and tshirt from my website.
If you want we can switch shoes. My size is 9
Hafthor Bjornsson have Jon snow come and train with you lol
Hafthor, can I order a "viking warrior" t-shirt to Russia?
Hafthor Bjornsson TUTORIAL SERIES IDEA. Maybe once a week release a video going over a different strongman movement. Giant dumbbell, stones, etc. Love the channel and seeing you lift inhuman weights!
Dont have Instagram but I love the fact that you reach out to fans and continue to be approachable
I don't think I could squat in the Power Gym with Thor standing over there and military pressing my squat PR
LOL same. I PR'd a 120 kg squat the other day and was pretty happy with myself. Then I see Thor strict pressing a 130 kg log for reps like it was nothing at all. Now that's a reality check
Eddie did 200 with brian.
Don't try to compare yourself with a 200kg strongman. Just enjoy yourself!
LMAO (but i'm actually crying)
@@hakon4920 IKR. My 230kg deadlift PR when I was young is less than half of Thor's record. If I can get back up there and maybe get to half his record at 250kg at my age of 50 I'd be happy.
also my PR squat of 160 for 6 reps is Thor's second warmup set, I think he does 175 or something before working up to over 300kg. Even though he's way out our league he's still super inspiring.
Holy shit, I can't believe how much you've leveled up in terms of film quality here. Even compared to just a few weeks ago. The music, the graphics, everything looks top level. If you can keep putting content out at this level of production your subscribers are going to skyrocket. Awesome job man, this is top level shit!!
Indeed
16 seconds per squat rep sounds like a nightmare.
@@brandoncrosbie8214 really good way to tear a muscle. Holding out is only good for so much. There is a limit to what is healthy and good for you. 16 seconds is just over kill, just like over doing on reps.
@@hatbat1234 they don't lift close to one rep max when going for a 16 second rep and it's more of a static strength builder. Very solid exercise
@@avais6712 nope, its not about the weight, its the duration of how long the muscle is under contraction. 16 seconds it just too long, and if it's really light weight, then what's the point. The longer the muscle is under contraction, along side fatigue; the greater the injury risk. That's why crossfitters are prone to injury sol much, always about # of reps, and taking the longest possible to do something.
Just like their pull ups, they do their little worms wiggly and claim 100 reps.
@@hatbat1234 ever heard of isometric training? Old school martial artists did this kind of training a lot and it is very beneficial. It helps build stronger tendon strength which is very important. Also you mentioned injuries, strongman is littered with injuries and I'm a fan of the sport but have to admit that. The weights lifted in strongman are extremely heavy which increases injury risk, maybe strongmen should include some isometrics in order to build tendon strength relative to the muscle strength.
@@avais6712 yeah, in isometrics, there is no movement, it is static training. What he us doing is not isometrics. You're misinterpreting what I said, I regarded the fact that crossfitters tend to suffer more injuries. I did not say that only crossfitters receive injuries.
Give us more training footage, not just a montage of it. I like to watch it, and be even more motivated to get into the gym, even if I just came home from the gym!
TRUE
I always end up watching them in bed and I’m like fuck could’ve uploaded before I went gym Thor😂now I’m feeling a workout in bed😂😂
Yes, and also continue to post the weight he is training with each set as he is doing it, like before!
well yeah, actually thats true, 1 hour of raw filming material will be more interesting that 10-15 minutes of video with quality editing
I actually like these shorter videos. 15min is a good time, 45-60min training videos takes to long to watch.
Loving the new gym and UA-cam content, you and Larry need to collab again
@Kenneth Wilburn why do you say that?
@Kenneth Wilburn If its detached you can reconnect it. If its just ripped you have to rehab it back to its strength. Eddie hall has the same injury as you and curled 27.5 kg.
Larry is done
Could you give us a tour of your gym
Probably will when it’s completed
@@raijinn5139 this is definitely the new gym in this video, not the old one
A thor*
Been asking for the same. An official tour of the new finished gym.
That would be neat.
This video is really well put together. The only I would like to see more is Thor's personality coming through the video. I really loved the videos of Thor and Sebastian eating the same meals, because it made me feel like I got to know Thor more as a person rather than just a monster in the gym.
I guess it's hard when you want to focus on the training but you try to also explain what you're doing also the fact that English is not his native language so it even harder
Set up more collaborations with other strongmen. The videos with Larry, Martins etc were very cool to watch. Thank you for the content Thor and crew!👍
AM Fitness with Mateusz Kieliszkowski 😍
he also could collaboarate with some icelandic strogman/athlets, like benedikt magnusson, magnus ver magnuson or some of the competitiors of iceland strongest man
Hafthor with Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall would be good.
Jason987262 Yeah. He does have some rivalry with Brian though. But when the time comes and Brian retires, we're definitely going the see a collaboration
Holy shit production value skyrocketed! Good stuff 💪
Really liking the way this was shot and edited. And the unobtrusive music tracking in the background was nice & also added intensity, well done.
wow nice to see Hjalti Arnason. i remember he coached Jon Pall & Magnus, and also competed in WSM and other competitions in the 1980s/1990s.
❤️
Great video. I wish Jon Paul Sigmarsson was still alive and could coach Thor. Atleast hes still around in spirit and as a tatoo on Thors leg
I just bought a sweatshirt from your store and hopefully it’s signed. I love these videos. It helps me expand my range of different exercises to show the other Marines. I look forward to seeing what you do next
Thor You are such an inspiration to me. So happy to see you making videos more often. I watch these videos to get me hyped up before I go to the gym it really helps.
The new gym is looking damn good!! heal up and take care!!
The new gym is stunning! Congrats to you! Much love from Florida!
one hand press is my favorite strongman lift. such complicated move that can be failed because of minimal errors
Love watching the Work-out session. What a Beast. Great to see the Channel growing. Keep on keeping on. Great inspiration.
Your English has become so much better Thor! You're really fluent now
His wife is american so that helps i guess
You know what fluent means?
@@Adiadi-uj3ud being able to express oneself easily and articulately.
@@gisli12 Canadian I think
New gym, new style of videos...I dig it man! :)
video editing looked amazing, great timing. thought you guys would have a dedicated log lift area. just so you don't have to switch things around every time. looking stronger every-time, hope for a great recovery
Great produced video, nice effects and good music 👍 🙂
Great vid, again Thor. Gym looks equipped perfectly. Keep ‘em coming and we all really like to monitor your progress throughout your vids !
you are awesome man,!
please do more vids with juji and tom i loved them!
Hope the stoltmens come over a few weeks earlier n then do a collab with you, they are both funny guys
Hafthor could show Tom how to gain some pounds 😏
@@ralfburon6179 haha yes deffinately
Very nice editing!!
Thanks for sharing your build up program and the update for your injury rehabilitation
From the warmer climes of Sydney. And the gym looks great!
This video was great! Love the format, maybe talk more about exercise selection and your view on lifting and athletic performance.
Awesome man. I've never been much into working out, but have never been super small either. My work keeps me fit, but I really would like to hit a gym, and try to get larger. There's no way I (or most people) would ever get close to what you can do, but you do inspire me to get larger. You also have such a relaxed, and personable way that you present yourself. That goes a long way to getting others into lifting.
I really enjoy any video with Thor in it! Always motivating! Hope the foot heals up nicely!
Yo editing went way up! Congrats!
Love your videos Thor. Love what you represent. My favourite videos are when you train with other Strongmen. Love seeing the brotherhood when you guys train together even though they are your competition. Big man, Big heart. Keep it up bro
Appreciate your videos! I like the longer ones, please.
I have a lot of respect for you, Hafthor. Phenomenal athlete and the sportsmanship you showed at WSM was inspiring. Keep it up!
Great video! A gym tour would be great too!
Got some gear from the store and cannot wait to be sporting my Viking warrior and team Thor shirts at the gym. Happy to here you’re recovery and continue to train!
Really enjoying your videos! Keep up the great work!
Love the content you've been putting out lately. Also, not bad editing.
Keep it up!!
I really appreciate the commentary and advice you give between lifts. I would love to see more advice. Thanks for the content.
I love that you actually talk about how to do the exercises and how to avoid injury
Thanks for doing these videos man!
Keep at it Hafthor! You're incredibly inspiring to a lot of people. Training videos like these are exactly what we want! Don't worry about boring us with the sets, reps, and exercises; that's what we're here for!
I love these videos. Taking a look at the routine of a sport you don't see that much in every day life is very interessting.
❤❤❤❤Thanks again for Autographing the t-shirt it was for me for fathers day... Glad to see that your foot is getting better n that your back in the gym, excited about the next event!!!! Wish i could be there to see it!! Thanks for all your hard work!! You've inspired me to get back into the gym... I'm 45 yrs old n got alot left in the old tank. Have a good one ❤🤗
Love the videos Thor! Keep it up brother!
Great work and advice. Hope to see more progression soon. And can't wait to see yoy compete again. Team Thor!
Nice video again Thor! nice to see the new gym and see you train. Keep the videos coming please!!
The editing is on point great video
The new gym looks great m8!!!Keep getting stronger and all the best to you THOR!!!
Love the new gym & love the videos. Glad to see the foot is healing good 😁💪🏻
New gym and setup looks 👌, loving the video's.
Nice new gym! Great video
Really love the training videos. I don't think you have to wrack your brain to think of 'fun' ideas, although if they come up, people will certainly enjoy them. It was nice to show what other people in your gym are doing training-wise. I think many are looking forward to a Q&A with your wife. The videography is amazing! (No slight to Tommi Thor [sp?].)
Loving this channel, and the consistent content.
Is it just me, or do all these guys seem like really nice people.
Thor, Martins, Shaw....Just to name a few seem like really down to earth, nice guys.
glad to see your foot doing good tore mine a few years back mine healed good your gym looks good i have a personal gym of mine seeing you guys encouraged me to do and enter strongman stuff at 51 yrs old moving up getting a lot stronger been lifting since i was 19 yrs old thx from arkansas usa.
I like your training sessions because I get to see what exercises you actually do. But I also like to see the behind the scenes looks into your life. I really enjoyed the eating videos before WSM. Thank you for making these as it helps people like me keep motivated to getting stronger!
I'm glad your foot is feeling better! Hope you do well next month! Nice looking gym by the way!
Glad to see you are well good luck in the upcoming event
Respect. Also Really like the music you have in all your vids hafthor, really motivating and powerful
I'm hoping to see a tour of your new ģym, definitely some Q&A episodes and a video showing all the awards you've won over your awesome strongman career! Keep being awesome
Hey Thor, Couple of things
First, Great to see you back training, hope the foot heals up quick
Second, New gym looks awesome.
Third, Who ever is doing your new videos is doing a great job, the editing, the display and text, the cuts, all look awesome, Very much look forward to more of it
The new gym looks really nice!
your videos gives motivation. keep up 100%
Great quality stuff right here
This new gym looks awesome!
Excellent videos, and i wih You best of luck with Your injury recovery...Also, Your advise about not lifting heavy on almost every training is very wise one, unfortunatelly i learned it myself too late...Once again, great job You are doing here, both Your training tips and training itself, and i'm really looking forward to see next one...Good luck
So we’re all just gonna ignore the fact that this man carried a 10kg plate like it was a 0.5kg chip? 2:09
You sound like you don't work out at the gym. Sure it's not easy but I can do the same with 5Kg and I'm not big. Plus Thor's 10kg plate looks very compact, which makes it easier.
congratulations
TheNaptown317 Let this be a lesson, Don't comment on youtube, Because someone will always jump down your throat about something
Theodore Bagwell weird flex but okay, Teddy
@@t.p.ggaming3884 sure buddy. Do not comment online cause people might actually answer on the crap you write.
You’re the man Thor, your training is blast to watch.
always wanna see more of you ! Great videos
Longer videos!!!!! We want MORE Thor!!!!!!!! You’re my favorite strongman and your ability to consistently finish on the podium at WSM is second to none
Hello Hafthor!
Thank you very much for posting this great video, Hafthor!
Please, continue sharing your knowledge, experience, and wisdom of the world of strong man training and competition!
By the way, your command of the English language has greatly improved!!! Excellent accomplishment!!!
Sincerely,
Marc (German, but living in the U.S.A.)
Wauv as always... Stay strong, and inspire :) The warming up before training would be nice to see :)
I wanna get of the treadmill and do other things as warmup :)
Gym tour video would be awesome the gym looks cool
Love the new gym. A tour of it would be 👍🏼. Putting my 💵 on you for the win!
I love how the turf section is lined so you can actually tell how far you're going!
You are by far the Mightiest Thor out there today. Loving all the training/eating videos I'd be very interested to see what supplements you use for pre/post workouts. I just started training again after a year off from back and foot injuries but with the Team Iceland top and signed poster I ordered from your site I'll get healthy again. Thor you are my inspiration these days thank you for all the content!.
You said that you would like some feedback. First of all, congratulations on your awesome gym. I would love to workout there!
It would be cool to see a clip with you doing a Questions and Answers video. Also, Us fans would love to see you do another tour of your gym and asking the members who are working out at the moment what they think of the gym and what they think of you Hafthor.
Anyhow, great video! Looking forward for the next. You have my respect!
i love this new gym!!
Love the new production style. Would like to hear more rock music during the workout scenes and do the same style b roll music during your speaking segments
Cool Thor you are left handed, me too! Nice overhead dumbbell lifts. I too would also like to see a tour video of your new gym.
I would like to see a full gym tour once it’s all done and set up.
new training facility looks awesome
great new gym hafthor, work & illusion make you champions in next tournament in august!!!!! SKALL
Great vid as usual! I would like to see some more technical info on the different more specialized lifts. You could break down the techniques one at a time. In example Atlas stone lifting 1*1. mentioning to train progressive was great, I have seen plenty of people damaging themselves by their ego lifts. Keep the vids coming big man!!
12:28 it looks like he just drinks straight protein powder with no liquid
He still has to mix it, I usually mix it after putting it in the cup, then just shake it.
Please do a walk through of your new gym, so keen to see that!!
Great stuff 👍
I want to see some more strongmen collaborations, because what’s better than one down to earth strongman? Two down to earth strongmen. 👍🏻
"In Flames" should be the soundscore for this channel. It fits perfectly.
New gym looks good!
I hope the leg is ok your the man thor nice work you can do this buddy
Thor! Love the youtube content! Please keep it coming
The new Gym looks rly nice!
How about a tour around it? ;)
Come back stronger than ever!!!!
Nice to see Hjalti after all these years. Good to see the old mixing with the new!
I learn a lot from watching your videos and tips 💪
Good luck on the competition Thor 💪 Greetings from Sofia/Bulgaria :)
Thor I wish you the best of luck and hope your leg gets better. So far favorite WSM
I love the training tips and workout footage. If anything, I would love to see more collaboration videos (with Mateusz, the Stoltman Brothers, Martins, Shaw, et al) and, believe it or not, video tours of Iceland.
