I also grew up on stuff like Taco Pasta Pie which was pretty good but my Mom always made it with spaghetti and I played Hockey and Baseball and was in Tae Kwon Do as a teen so it was fuel but my family aren't rich and my parents did their best with what they had. I can't knock em for making a lot of pasta.

Technique with the double oven cooking is not the way it's done. Ricotta, it's not an ingredient by the traditional recipe. And basil, it's IN the ragù, NOT WITH it.
