Old yankee bull shit pretty much. Mustaches used to be thought of as proper and dapper. Guess that’s the reason the Yankees still enforce that old prehistoric rule in the clubhouse. Stache or clean shaven, that’s it. But I guess when you’re the Yankees you kinda make your own rules.
