  • How to Make Strawberry Margaritas. This is the best frozen margarita cocktail! It uses frozen strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup. It is great for Cinco de Mayo or any summertime party or BBQ. This is one of my favorite blended cocktails. Enjoy!

      Thank you for your kind words. I don't think Food Network cooks food anymore. Everything has a timer and usually involves eliminating someone after they mess up. Even Cooking Channel has Iron Chef. Not much cooking there either. We don't have much of a time limit on our shows. They usually take as long as is necessary to show you how to cook something without too many cuts. Glad you love our channel. We appreciate you watching and your kind words.

    I don't drink alcohol but I've had a similar recipe before. I was curious so I decided to squeeze some blood orange. The fragrance of the blood orange made it amazing, and it isn't as powerful as normal oranges so you still get the nice strawberry taste.

    Ive been wanting to make this frozen margarita. What is 1to1 ratios?

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook 4 роки тому +1

      If you want sweetness, you can make a simple syrup. 1 cup of hot/boiling water and one cup granulated sugar. Stir until dissolved. Chill the syrup. Any unused syrup will store for up to a week in the fridge.

  • @TheMexicanMommy
    @TheMexicanMommy 5 років тому +1

    Can you just add regular dry sugar??

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook 5 років тому +3

      With regular granulated sugar, you run the risk of it not dissolving and being gritty like sand. So you have a few choices. You can either buy or make super-fine sugar. Put some dry granulated sugar in a blender and pulse until it becomes "fine". Do not overdo it or you'll have powdered sugar. Or else, you can make simple syrup by mixing one part sugar with one part water, such as 1 cup each. You can either boil and stir on the stove or do it in the microwave oven. But you need to wait for it to cool down before you can use it. We commonly use simple syrup or will use the store bought margarita mix with frozen strawberries. I hope that helps.

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook 4 роки тому +1

      simple syrup is usually 1:1 ratio. So one cup of granulated sugar and one cup of very hot/boiling water. Stir until its all dissolved and let it cool down. I think you can keep unused syrup in your fridge for up to a week.

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook 4 роки тому +2

      I think we just want an excuse to eat Mexican food and get drunk. I think a lot of people think it has to do with Mexico's independence or something, rather than the anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. If anyone can defeat Napoleon III, then they deserve a holiday!!!

      Hi Nikolai! You can use any orange liqueur such as Cointreau, Curacao or Grand Marnier. They are more expensive tho especially for a blended drink. If you wanted to pass on the Triple Sec, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Just up the tequila...or you can make a Daiquiri using the same recipe but substituting rum for tequila.
