We were so privileged to have lived during the “real” showband era. These boys weren’t just doing it for the money but for the enjoyment that is plain to be seen unlike a lot of today Irish bands/ just a brilliant band.
This man should have got an Oscar for this performance.

As a full blooded Onondaga/Mohawk woman I am saddened and outright horrified that this exists! This is so racist and offensive it makes me cry.
Sarah.. This song is in no way racist. .and if you're horribly offended, I am horrified that a full blooded Native American woman finds this song insulting. Please, Hon, replay this song a few times and listen to the lyrics. I think you ought to be proud of your heritage and not adopt the notion of being a victim. Please, Hon, don't cry....nobody meant to insult or offend you. I sincerely wish you well.

This is class,! i rember my Ma & Da playen the Indians way back in the 70s,! when i was a kid then, ;-) !
Fun, fun video. Great song, humorous and it's a love song. I'm a sucker for love songs This song had something to do with making our soldiers happy, and happy soldiers are more likely to win wars. I equate this fun song to the Andrew Sisters singing Drinking Rum And Coca Cola, a song that no doubt helped us to win WW II. Squaws Along The Yukon, a great, great, absolutely fabulous song.

Ben...Yes, I came of age dropping quarters to hear Hank sing, and this song must have made Hank a wealthy man...thanks to me feeding the jukebox. If Noel had been on our jukebox back then, Hank would have had some stiff competition. We all loved Hank, love this song, and today, 2020, I love this video. My thanks to whoever posted it. Thank you.

This is horrid and vile. Not only is it highly inappropriate for them to dress this way, "squaw" is considered a horrifically vile slur towards Native women!
