Blade skipping is the easiest way to fade with detachable. Just skip the numbers going up and fill in the numbers going down. Excellent teaching and video.
I agree. Blade skipping gives a solid foundation for blending, especially for beginners. But don’t you need to get the lines out with whatever blade you put it in with? New student barber btw
Probably the BEST SYSTEM to using detachable blades for sure. I’m a firm believer in detachable blades and this is pure gold. Learned about the 1 3/4’s too today. I like that idea
Been using this technique since your 1st video I saw awhile ago and it grow my clientel within a month. All my clients now ONLY want metal. Thanks Will.
Niiiiccceee!!! I got a little lost at what to take the 1A out with but for the most part I’m getting it! Glad I switched detachable blades just cut beautifully!!💪
Thanks for the video! Super helpful, but wow I cannot find the 1 3/4 I need it !!!! I need dummy proof 🥺 I wonder if an animal blade would work since it’s the only one I can find that’s 4.8mm.
There’s no real advantage to this modification. The only improvement I’ve noticed is with the bigger blades after the 2. It helped with the hair pulling on straight hair. Now, if you’re using a 76’er than it MIGHT help with the heat but it will still get hot.
He's using Andis. There was a lot of problems with the Andis cordless detachable keeping their charge. I switched to the Oster octane and have had no issues.

Gotta do a self cut detachable blade cut 👌🏾💯
Maybe I’ll make one
cut the top first...it makes it the process easier
Did you modify the cutting blade to ceramic?

Difference between 18 skiptooth and texturizing also the wahl speed blade
What type (manufacturer) of clippers are you using? Or what is the best type of detachable clippers that you have used or recommend?
