Again! Again! Awesome. Is this real or are ya'all funnin' me, doing pantomime? Where's the keboardist, the drummer? Are you even plugged in? ❤ Just kiddin' Great bluesy song and I'm picky. Post the lyrics? Thank you for sharing and great pantomime.😅 Hypnotic then nice change at 03:30 excellent guitar fullthroated wall of sound with mellow distinct melody truly above expected bluesplay into interesting fade, Very nice.
Thanks :-) It is just the two of us. I play drums, but because of an invisible disability (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) I can’t sit at a drum kit for long any more. The programming, keyboards etc we record beforehand and play on a laptop. We then do the vocals, bass and any solos live. It is an unusual setup for a prog rock band, but it means that I can keep performing despite my illnesss, so it works for us.
This song was inspired by Iain M Banks’ novel ‘Look To Windward’. The song is from the perspective of an artificial intelligence about to witness the light from a star destroying military tragedy, and showing the futility of cycles of violence to someone who thought they were about to commit an atrocity. lyrics 800 years, the light waves creeping An ancient mistake A starlight weapon I wanted to show you How long it takes The bright moment Then the dark I wanted to show you The light of ancient mistakes By the light of dying stars You might see differently I brought you here to show you The night sky bright The moment of radiation The glow of expiring light I’ve known for years But I needed you to see, for yourself To look up and see the silent light. And think.
I will check it out. Thank you for real. I'm a longtime sailing dude too BTW, lake and intracoastal. O you who turn the wheel and look to windward, Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you. - T.S. Eliot, The Waste Land, IV. Death by Water

lyrics
800 years, the light waves creeping
An ancient mistake
A starlight weapon
I wanted to show you
How long it takes
The bright moment
Then the dark
I wanted to show you
The light of ancient mistakes
By the light of dying stars
You might see differently
I brought you here to show you
The night sky bright
The moment of radiation
The glow of expiring light
I’ve known for years
But I needed you to see, for yourself
To look up and see the silent light. And think.

O you who turn the wheel and look to windward,
Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you.
