This is not a Bryan specific thing, as the other commenter said. Absolutely nothing hits Lei in that situation. Nothing. If this is the thing that is pissing you off over the years, then I think it's time to take a look at the oki system
Hey Swe, I have to say, something you mentioned in an earlier video about Leroy... if he's gameplay could be redesigned as a very defensive Wing Chun form of fighting with a lot of parry options... I cannot agree more that would be so cool

Usman doing all that goofy running made it easy to root for Bryan. You really have to stay composed and not allow Lei players to annoy the hell out of you or else its game. And I think the ki charge was for this 10:33
Lei is a bad fundamental character though, you need to be really good, plus his movement isn't ridiculous per se and instead is locked behind his own thing with haha step. Feng also doesn't have broken movement, he's just evasive af
You've got to enter backturned to do the haha step so you can get launched for trying to make space. Bit different from a strong inbuilt back dash. If your opponent is in your face, then you can't just haha step freely.

In response to the statement about whether Lei prefer's infinites, I think that depends on how you use him. He has some strong wall mix-ups and good oki at the wall. I prefer the wall personally but being able to make use of space in infinites is still good

As much as I like the Pakistani players, this guy is honestly one of the worst commentators in the scene. He just keeps repeating "ay" all the time, he just mimics every other "catch-phrase" the US commentator does, and he adds 0 info in his commentary, mostly "that's a lot of dmg" etc. Honestly, idk why this guy has this job, at the very least, he could study a few moves / characters so that he doesn't look like an idiot all the time.

the lei player tech rolled, which has invincibility frames. Any hit would have gone through him from any character.

This is probably the 4th or 5th best Lei in Pakistan. Ahsan Ali, Hafiz Adeel, Bilal Kaka and Adnan are better lei players
