I think the trick to this is knowing who the voice actors are and who they had voiced for before IDOLiSH7. I've known almost all the VAs and had their voices drilled inside my head... that or you're so into IDOLiSH7 that you've watched the anime thousands of times, heard their songs thousands of times, or played the game alnost 24/7.
Yeah I know what you mean. I don't play the game but I watched the anime, watch the game story till chapter 4, read the manga and even listened to every music piece. 🎶

Short summary of my results, which I typed after watching: 16/18. I always recognise performers well. Many of these VAs are distinct. Non-performers are more difficult. Somehow I still only missed two. Long version, which I typed out as I was watching: 1, Nagi, obviously...~ 2, Riku. He sometimes sounds a bit like Mitsuki, but I heard him say something about unable to run around, which is Riku, so I got it right away. 3, Momo. Took the sudden tone shift to recognise though...~ 4, Tenn. I kinda felt it from the start, but I also recognised something about "by age ... high school student ... overseas ... skip" sooo... yeah. 5, Sogo. His VA is incredibly recognisable to me, for being in Cardfight and ARGO as well (though the latter is admittedly a character I don't care much for) 6, Yuki. Even though I don't even hear his VA that often in the one other I role I know him for, his voice is quite distinct...~ 7, Tamaki. As if I wouldn't recognise best boy's voice, especially when it's such a distinctive one...~ Ah, and he said "So-chan," but I didn't even need that...~ 8, Gaku. One of the most distinct VAs I know, pretty sure, though I don't even really remember where else I've heard him...~ 9, ...Is that president Takanashi? I never remember what his given name is...~ 10, Mitsuki. It's still distinct, but somehow his VA has become less clearly "oh it's him!" for me... probably because I've heard him _too_ much in different series, from all the Cardfight I watch, plus having seen the entirety of I7's anime twice, and caring a lot about his character in ARGO...~ 11, Takamasa Kujo. I still can't believe his VA is the goddamn giraffe in Revue as well. 12, Ryuunosuke. It took a moment but yeah. His voice is pretty distinct... also lends a bit more credence to the possibilty of a voice getting less distinct the more one hears it because I think Ryuu's VA is closer to Sogo's in terms of how often I hear him, compared to Mitsuki's VA...~ 13, uhhh... oh Kaoru ahhh... 14, Yamato. No clue how his voice is so distinct, but it is. 15, ...no idea... oh okay. ...I'm bad with recognising the non-performers, if you couldn't tell...~ 16, Tsumugi~! 17, Iori. Fun bit you chose~ 18, Is that Rinto.. no no Banri. Yeah I am bad with the non-performers...~ Though that I was able to recognise all of the non-performers that aren't Yaotome Productions-affiliated was impressive, I feel...~
