Id use the MMA til you get your punching right. Protect your thumbs
My gym uses boxing gloves and mma gloves for bag and mitt work shin guards as well then for sparring we use mma gloves to get the real feel
Can I use mma gloves for training on boxing bags?
Amazing explanation..what do you think about karate combat gloves??( it' something in between)
You can also use bag mitts. Focus on precision. Take it slow.
Absolutely! Good tip
U could grapple with boxing gloves like muay thai fighters and sanda fighter but it is definately a really crappy experience.
Agreed!
Is it effektive to go for a 16oz glove for conditioning and training?
Good question! If that helps you build strength in your arms, certainly. That's personal preference really. If you gain the strength you're looking for, might be good to get away from them so as not to form habits when you spar/fight.
All 3
This guy talks common sense. Most gyms have smart poeple with no common sense
How many Oz should my Mma gloves have for training and light sparring
10-12oz for training
14-16oz for sparring
I have punching bag at home i didn't get lesson about boxing or somethin does it injure my wrist if i use mma gloves or should i get regular ones for training ?
Put your wraps on and you ll be good
Learning proper technique/wrist position is critical. You don't have time to wrap up in a real self defense scenario
What I do ? No gloves.
Trap some squirrels and make some. Takes about 87 of them
@@Mantisboxers lol mantis ain't big enough to fight no squirrel.
You cant make any meaningful contact with a 4oz glove.
Have you never seen a UFC fight? 😂
@@Mr_Namaste yes I'm saying you can't make any meaningful contact while sparring with MMA gloves because you'll injure or knockout your partner. All of those MMA fighters train in 16oz Muay Thai gloves or at least 8oz hybrid gloves
Amazing explanation..what do you think about karate combat gloves??( it' something in between)
Depends what you're training for. If it's self defense, I would go bare.
