Pretty accurate, Lou. Well done. LSU at night .. Tennessee on the road, Oklahoma, late and on the road. Bama could win or lose all the above. Hypothetically speaking... Bama could be the best 4 loss team in the history of college football.
On the O line, Bama was to heavy across the board. Averaged 350+ lbs, thats roughly 20 lbs heavier than any NFL O line. Definitely affected movement, the footwork and jump off the ball. Just overall slow up front. Proctor being young at LT definitely didn’t help, and yeah Seth McLaughlin snapping the ball in the dirt constantly. Wont have those issues this year. Wideouts, talent everywhere I just feel like the last few years it has not been utilized the way it should have been. If anybody can get the most out of these kids its DeBoer and Jamarcus Shepard the Wideout coach. My biggest question mark is the secondary, loaded with talent just lacking experience with a lot of new faces. I think by week 5 they should be solid on the back end. We shall see. Good video Lou. 10-2 is what I predict Alabama will do in 2024. I think the two losses are to Georgia and LSU. Georgia is going to be deadliest team in college football in 2024, and Coach Deboer has not coached in an environment nearly as horrendous for the visiting team to play in as LSU Death Valley. Overall though, I think Deboer has more than enough talent to make the playoffs in his first year in Tuscaloosa.

Talent isn't gonna be the issue. It's the rebuild that's gonna be the issue. A lot of teams tested Alabama last year. They were on the verge of losing 5 games. Texas which they lost,USF, Tennessee which they had to make a 2nd half comeback,Auburn miracle win,and Georgia. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose 3 games this year.

Bama fan here. My gauge for success in year 1 of DeBoer is to make the playoffs. Trying to give the guy some time to grow into the role. I’ve got us 10-2 or 11-3. Losses to UGA and 1 or 2 from @ UT, @ LSU, Mizzou and @ Oklahoma. If Bama goes 3-2 in that run, it’ll be pretty impressive. Also super excited about a potential home playoff game at BDS. Would be insanity.

I'm a bama fan uncle lou an I agree with everything you said but the overall record . I think the inexperience an all that we lost is gonna bite us in 1 other game this year. Not sure whitch game tho. I've been leaning more towards a 9-3 this year.
As a Bama fan, this is a very fair and thorough evaluation of Bama. On D, I think the front 7, particularly the LB's will be strong, but the secondary is young. I'm hoping it's a defense that get's better as the season goes and the young guys gain experience. I think 10-2 is a good prediction, with 9-3 being the floor. I think a lot depends on the improvement of Milroe (or lack there of). The WR room may surprise you a bit Lou, they have some young talent there as well including a 6'6" freshman who was a 5 star TE converted to WR. 10-2 is a dang good record in this new SEC if you ask me. 12-0 will be rare now. I love it, it's going to produce great football and very compelling games. RTR.

Bama grad here, agree with everything. I also don't see us going into Norman and winning in November. It's cold as hell there in late November and the OU defense is going to be nasty. Biggest ? for OU is that OL. Bama is going to be nasty in the front 7 so they could come out with a W for that reason but it's going to be very tough. Also agree that if UGA doesn't beat Bama this year this early in the season, it's a very bad look. Glad I have tickets!

But we are not going to know how good Alabama is going to be until after the Wisconsin and Georgia game.Those games will reveal how good Alabama is going to be and if they beat Georgia then they can beat any team on the schedule.Still I like you think it is going to be very hard for any team to go undefeated in the SEC now.Roll Tide!
As a Bama fan, I think this is a very fair assessment of Alabama’s first season with Deboer. Nick Saban went 7-5 his first season. I’ll be happy to beat Auburn as much as I would love to beat Georgia as well.

Bama fan here, and I agree. The only thing is, I think we see an improvement from the receivers. I have said for years that the previous coach needed to be fired. The only success he had was with a receiver who was either already developed by the coach before him or a transfer. It's not ironic that the two best receivers, the last 3 seasons, were a transfer. I think 2 out of 16 he recruited have transferred. Jamarcus Shephard has coached Rondale Moore, David Bell, the 3 he just had drafted, and the top 10 pick, just to name a few. I think we see much need improvement from that group. The secondary is my concern. Very talented but young. I think Zabien Brown doesn't start the season, but he will at the end of the year much like Koolaid as a young player

the WR room is being criminally underrated. the talent and speed are there in spades. Just need a QB to deliver a ball and throw slants and check-downs. This is by far the hardest team to predict. On one hand everything could take a while to get everything going where they want it, but on the other hand it wouldn’t surprise me for them to be dominant with one of cfb s best quarterbacks and debore brought his oc with him. 7-5 wouldn’t shock me. Neither would 12-0. Such a hard team to predict.

As a Georgia fan I agree the pressure is on Kirby smart to beat Alabama. We know he can do it yeah I know the records say he was only able to beat Saban 1 time but in most his losses to Alabama he Georgia outplayed Alabama I would argue the whole game. Also I am not predicting an upset but that Wisconsin game week 3 could be a trap game for Alabama. Well see
I think your predictions are as honest as anyone could be. Especially for this upcoming 2024 season. 10-2 (6-2) seem to be the concensus pick for what Alabama could finish in the regular season. There are a couple of your thoughts I disagree with, and those were about Milroe, and the other was about Bama's defense. First, lets talk bout Milroe. Milroe is probably the most disrespected quarterback in the whole country. And I'm not saying that you were disrespecting Jalen, not at all. Matte= of fact, you spoke truth about Jalen Milroe's path so far. Milroe attended the Manning passing academy this year, and he may have last year, but I'll have to double check. But Bill Belichek was at the camp when it was going on earlier this year. He mentioned that when he came down to Tuscaloosa last season, got a chance to watch Milroe before his first season as a starting QB. He mentioned that compared to Milroe's mechanics in 2023, to what he's seen with his mechanics progress this season. It's night and day compared to last. Last season during fall camp, the story was "Dropped balls" over and over it was "Dropped balls" lol! So far during fall camp 2024? That's not an issue for Bama. Also, Saban said that if he ever felt like his method of coaching wasn't doing the job, and he felt like he was hindering the process, then that's when he would step down. Bama media folks have been pointing at the fact that 2023 was a tense season, players weren't enjoying practicing. And yeah, I get practice is supposed to be hard work. But imagine going to work, boss is on your ass all the time, can't listen to music, can't even smile for the fact Saban is right there, getting ready to chew dat ass lol. Assistant coaches couldn't speak to the media, I mean it was "The Process" ! This fall, it's been a 180° difference. Players are more relaxed, coaches seem to connect with the players alot better than last seasons staff did. My point is that Milroe's mechanics are way better, his accuracy is better, his body style is even more pronounced, and not only did Belichek have nothing bit positive things to say, but nearly all of the media members that watched Milroe at the Manning passing academy said that If that's what his mechanics are for 2024? He's gonna be the best quarterback in the country. He's one of the fastest players on the team, and if any coach has the ability to make Milroe a first team All American @QB, It would be a coach like DeBoer. As far as the defense goes. Womack's defense has alot more zone, and I believe that's the way his defense is supposed to work. If Bama's offense comes out averaging 40+ pg, then All Alabama needs to do is keep the offense in front of em, and get turnovers. Something Saban's teams of late were not having success at doing. There was a point when Saban's teams were averaging a defensive touchdown every game. Sometimes up to 2-3 TO's pg. But those defensive teams were just allowing around 10ppg. If this defense can hold teams to 20 ppg or less? Alabama is going to be the most dangerous team in the country. Imagine Jayden Daniel's doing what he did, with a defense that allowed less than 20ppg? LSU wins the national championship last year. And that's what I think the 2024 Alabama Crimson Tide is going to be like. But with a way better defense. I've got Bama going 11-1 (7-1), the loss is to Georgia. I think Bama gets only two multiple score wins over SEC teams (Vanderbilt, S. Carolina) the rest of their SEC schedule will all be close, exciting games. I see Georgia beating Alabama in a nail biter, with Beck hitting a reciever in the corner for a touchdown to beat the Crimson Tide. I've got Bama 11-1 (7-1) Georgia 11-1 (7-1) Texas 10-2 (6-2) Tennessee 10-2 (6-2) Ole Miss 10-2 (6-2) Missouri 9-3 (5-3) With LSU, Auburn, TAMU, OU winning 8 games, Kentucky, Florida winning 7, SCar, Miss St, Arkansas, going bowling, and Vandy doing what Vandy do. I would not be mad at this season for KD's first year. Honestly I think you are erring on the optimistic side for Bama. Love my Tide but there is a lot of new, and a lot of change. If KD can pull off this type of first year, it is a great foundation and a bright future. I personally think they will fall in that 9-3 or 10-2 range as well, optimistic but also realistic. Gump checking in. No problem with this. Its hard to know what to expect when you lose such a legend. I am not delusional , so they will lose a couple games. I think it will take DeBoer rebuilding and a couple recruiting classes to catch up again. But patience isn't something us bama are good at. We've been spoiled by Saban's success.

There second lost is going to be either Missouri, Tennessee, LSU, or Oklahoma. If they loose a third time, it's going to be one of those teams that I just mentioned. Hopefully it's not against Auburn. Maybe the the first lost might come to Wisconsin. Who knows.

Bama fan here. My gauge for success in year 1 of DeBoer is to make the playoffs. Trying to give the guy some time to grow into the role. I’ve got us 10-2 or 11-3. Losses to UGA and 1 or 2 from @ UT, @ LSU, Mizzou and @ Oklahoma. If Bama goes 3-2 in that run, it’ll be pretty impressive.
Also super excited about a potential home playoff game at BDS. Would be insanity.

I'm a bama fan uncle lou an I agree with everything you said but the overall record . I think the inexperience an all that we lost is gonna bite us in 1 other game this year. Not sure whitch game tho. I've been leaning more towards a 9-3 this year.

As a Bama fan, this is a very fair and thorough evaluation of Bama. On D, I think the front 7, particularly the LB's will be strong, but the secondary is young. I'm hoping it's a defense that get's better as the season goes and the young guys gain experience. I think 10-2 is a good prediction, with 9-3 being the floor. I think a lot depends on the improvement of Milroe (or lack there of). The WR room may surprise you a bit Lou, they have some young talent there as well including a 6'6" freshman who was a 5 star TE converted to WR. 10-2 is a dang good record in this new SEC if you ask me. 12-0 will be rare now. I love it, it's going to produce great football and very compelling games. RTR.

Bama grad here, agree with everything. I also don't see us going into Norman and winning in November. It's cold as hell there in late November and the OU defense is going to be nasty. Biggest ? for OU is that OL. Bama is going to be nasty in the front 7 so they could come out with a W for that reason but it's going to be very tough.
Also agree that if UGA doesn't beat Bama this year this early in the season, it's a very bad look. Glad I have tickets!

As a Bama fan, I think this is a very fair assessment of Alabama’s first season with Deboer. Nick Saban went 7-5 his first season. I’ll be happy to beat Auburn as much as I would love to beat Georgia as well.

Bama fan here, and I agree. The only thing is, I think we see an improvement from the receivers. I have said for years that the previous coach needed to be fired. The only success he had was with a receiver who was either already developed by the coach before him or a transfer. It's not ironic that the two best receivers, the last 3 seasons, were a transfer. I think 2 out of 16 he recruited have transferred. Jamarcus Shephard has coached Rondale Moore, David Bell, the 3 he just had drafted, and the top 10 pick, just to name a few. I think we see much need improvement from that group. The secondary is my concern. Very talented but young. I think Zabien Brown doesn't start the season, but he will at the end of the year much like Koolaid as a young player

Bama guy here...good video..Bama should be a favorite in every game except UGA..Debore has been great in his short time there..Bamas been recruiting as usual, no drop off..only 2 teams can match Bama physically UGA, LSU..Bama-UGA is a tossup, I wouldn't be surprised at the outcome either way..Bama WILL beat Wisconsin and Oklahoma..i see OK having an off year...but in saying this, I expect to see All SEC teams have at least 2 loses because of the SEC grid week in week out..the SEC Championship road goes through Bama, UGA and Texas..lot of people are doubtING Bama, don't be one of them..Bamas offensive line trouble began and ended with the center and he's been replaced by a stud..this year will be the most anticipated, exciting season in CF history..

This is by far the hardest team to predict. On one hand everything could take a while to get everything going where they want it, but on the other hand it wouldn’t surprise me for them to be dominant with one of cfb s best quarterbacks and debore brought his oc with him. 7-5 wouldn’t shock me. Neither would 12-0. Such a hard team to predict.

As a Georgia fan I agree the pressure is on Kirby smart to beat Alabama. We know he can do it yeah I know the records say he was only able to beat Saban 1 time but in most his losses to Alabama he Georgia outplayed Alabama I would argue the whole game.

I think your predictions are as honest as anyone could be. Especially for this upcoming 2024 season. 10-2 (6-2) seem to be the concensus pick for what Alabama could finish in the regular season. There are a couple of your thoughts I disagree with, and those were about Milroe, and the other was about Bama's defense. First, lets talk bout Milroe. Milroe is probably the most disrespected quarterback in the whole country. And I'm not saying that you were disrespecting Jalen, not at all. Matte= of fact, you spoke truth about Jalen Milroe's path so far. Milroe attended the Manning passing academy this year, and he may have last year, but I'll have to double check. But Bill Belichek was at the camp when it was going on earlier this year. He mentioned that when he came down to Tuscaloosa last season, got a chance to watch Milroe before his first season as a starting QB. He mentioned that compared to Milroe's mechanics in 2023, to what he's seen with his mechanics progress this season. It's night and day compared to last. Last season during fall camp, the story was "Dropped balls" over and over it was "Dropped balls" lol! So far during fall camp 2024? That's not an issue for Bama. Also, Saban said that if he ever felt like his method of coaching wasn't doing the job, and he felt like he was hindering the process, then that's when he would step down. Bama media folks have been pointing at the fact that 2023 was a tense season, players weren't enjoying practicing. And yeah, I get practice is supposed to be hard work. But imagine going to work, boss is on your ass all the time, can't listen to music, can't even smile for the fact Saban is right there, getting ready to chew dat ass lol. Assistant coaches couldn't speak to the media, I mean it was "The Process" ! This fall, it's been a 180° difference. Players are more relaxed, coaches seem to connect with the players alot better than last seasons staff did. My point is that Milroe's mechanics are way better, his accuracy is better, his body style is even more pronounced, and not only did Belichek have nothing bit positive things to say, but nearly all of the media members that watched Milroe at the Manning passing academy said that If that's what his mechanics are for 2024? He's gonna be the best quarterback in the country. He's one of the fastest players on the team, and if any coach has the ability to make Milroe a first team All American @QB, It would be a coach like DeBoer. As far as the defense goes. Womack's defense has alot more zone, and I believe that's the way his defense is supposed to work. If Bama's offense comes out averaging 40+ pg, then All Alabama needs to do is keep the offense in front of em, and get turnovers. Something Saban's teams of late were not having success at doing. There was a point when Saban's teams were averaging a defensive touchdown every game. Sometimes up to 2-3 TO's pg. But those defensive teams were just allowing around 10ppg. If this defense can hold teams to 20 ppg or less? Alabama is going to be the most dangerous team in the country. Imagine Jayden Daniel's doing what he did, with a defense that allowed less than 20ppg? LSU wins the national championship last year. And that's what I think the 2024 Alabama Crimson Tide is going to be like. But with a way better defense. I've got Bama going 11-1 (7-1), the loss is to Georgia. I think Bama gets only two multiple score wins over SEC teams (Vanderbilt, S. Carolina) the rest of their SEC schedule will all be close, exciting games. I see Georgia beating Alabama in a nail biter, with Beck hitting a reciever in the corner for a touchdown to beat the Crimson Tide. I've got

I would not be mad at this season for KD's first year. Honestly I think you are erring on the optimistic side for Bama. Love my Tide but there is a lot of new, and a lot of change. If KD can pull off this type of first year, it is a great foundation and a bright future. I personally think they will fall in that 9-3 or 10-2 range as well, optimistic but also realistic. Gump checking in. No problem with this. Its hard to know what to expect when you lose such a legend. I am not delusional , so they will lose a couple games. I think it will take DeBoer rebuilding and a couple recruiting classes to catch up again. But patience isn't something us bama are good at. We've been spoiled by Saban's success.

I think Lou is pretty accurate towards this team as a Bama fan. I see them loosing to Georgia as well. They still can beat Georgia, but it's a low chance. There second lost is going to be either Missouri, Tennessee, LSU, or Oklahoma. If they loose a third time, it's going to be one of those teams that I just mentioned. Hopefully it's not against Auburn. Maybe the the first lost might come to Wisconsin. Who knows.
