Strong isn’t even the right word. This man was a real life superhero, was able to accomplish 9 films within the 4 years of fighting colon cancer along with helping children suffering the same fate. rest in power Chadwick Boseman, Wakanda Forever ❤️
Obviously they used stunt doubles. That does not take away from the fact that he still had to physically get into shape in order to film some of the lesser intense scenes. The amount of weight he gained for the role alone seems like it would be a major accomplishment for someone going through chemo.
JaTu Although some were scenes were stunt doubles he was still playing T’Challa in many films and did some stunts. Acting while having cancer isn’t easy so this would make you the “idot”.
Wakanda forever
Connie 1751 Chadwick did most fight scenes where he isn’t wearing the suit. Most notable is him vs M’Baku in BP. In the behind the scenes you can see him out there pulling off those fight moves himself.

This comment went out to some guy by the name of Ja Tu (he removed his comment) that was implying that Chadwick didn’t do his own fight scenes and that stuntmen were used. He also implied that we were idiots (which he spelt wrong, see the comment from Golden Golem) for believing that Chadwick was doing his own action scenes.
This has to be the coolest introduction to a character ever. Black Panther was awesome when he showed up

I know you said _extra_ VFX, but I just thought I'd point out that his whole suit was a CG replacement. They had a pretty detailed suit on set for filming, but then totally replaced it in post.

@@paul-nj1ig I really don't get it either. A surprising amount of objects in marvel films are CGI replacements. There's a lot of times where it just seems like VFX for VFX sake. So many of the actors wear suits, and then they are replaced in post with a nearly identical suit with fewer wrinkles, or maybe more or less shine in certain areas. It's kind of egregious.
Nah the original suit is too basic for African culture. You can tell more research was done in the development of Black Panther.
For his FIRST debut Black Panther sure was a badass in this movie. Rest in Power Chadwick.

The movie was filmed in 2014-15 he wasn’t diagnosed until 2016

This was such a great action scene. I love the “grounded” MCU that isn’t just a giant CGI-fest. I mean, there is tons of CGI here, but the actions of the heroes are on a scale I can comprehend and it is “real” enough to make me appreciate the super-human aspects of what they’re doing.
Fun fact: the part where they outrun the cars was a practical effect.
They attached long carpet-like things to the end of cars and the stunt doubles were running on those carpets while the cars were pulling them.

he got "jailed" (basically just kept in the office, same with cap and falcon, as said by ross) because even if he signed the accords and is a prince/king, he still violated it and went after bucky without the UN's permission

I don't know if anybody as commented on this before but I love the fact that the police treated T'Challa, Steve and Bucky so differently; the police officers do not even touch T'Challa, Steve is "respectfully" (not violently) handcuffed while standing and Bucky is thrown to the ground to be handcuffed.
Ngl that's a really cool detail you pointed out but at 3:14 that officer right behind T'Challa was probably going to cuff him until he revealed he was the prince of Wakanda and has that diplomatic immunity.

I always loved the little bits of running speed differences showed with the characters. Cap, Bucky and T'Challa along with Spider-Man and Thor in rush scenes always moving faster than everyone else. Its little touches and details like that that really makes the scenes all the more amazing a believable that these are superhumans we're watching.
You know, I noticed this especially in Infinity War at the battle of Wakanda. But in Endgame, in the last battle when they charge Thanos, both Cap and Black Panther are running in line with the rest and not way in the front. It was either a symbol of unity, or it was because it was easier to get the shot on camera when they're all in one frame.

T’Challa’s determination to capture Bucky made this scene 10x better

@Oddwolf 799 Spiderman's was more fun, this was more badass. I would rate BP's as more impactful on the movie. Spidey was more of a fun "Yes, he's officially in the MCU" moment but he's not crucial to the story. BPS whole purpose was avenging his father's death and finding who officially did it.

@@paulsayman3069 no, they actually run without the "magic carpet". They made the cars drive very slow, such that cap etc. were in fact faster. But the excellent camera work made it look like the cars go normal speed and thus cap etc. at high speed
the stuntman of black panther said that they have these magic csrpets behind the cars so it would look like they are running at the speeds of 60mph
The bests stunt here is the one with bucky grabbing the motorcycle. Cause that was somehow all real.

Bucky is actually the one at fault because he made the bridge collapse which made Sam stop suddenly which allowed BP to launch forward towards Bucky. BP never really caught Bucky though.
