I am a Gonzaga fan and Navy veteran and was touring The Blue Ghost, USS Lexington aircraft carrier in Corpus Christi yesterday!
They should do this a lot more often where they play basketball games a different venues and stuff like this this is awesome

Nah that’s a concerning, marginal win for them. They are supposed to be dominant especially over very young unranked teams.
The replies here are hilarious. It was not as if the game was called both ways and both teams had foul trouble. Generous refs is hilarious. Also, both teams had to adjust to the new conditions and early on Michigan St did while Gonzaga was slower to adjust to it.
Also Michigan St. not being ranked is nowhere near where they should be. Give them credit.

Refs were calling such bs this game. When Tyson Walker got trucked and he was called for a “loose ball foul”??!!! OR the multiple over the back and push off fouls Timme got away with??!! MSu should’ve own this game even with our end of game blunder.

I understand replays to see highlights and amazing dunks, but ESPN needs to edit out 3-4 clips that just replays a basket...its a normal basket/layup nothing else. It's not a vital key play or anything just 10 secs of replay for no reason. Better editing I say ESPN

A lot of the blame should be on Tom joey and kohler were getting bullied and he left them in there far too long Gonzaga never comes back if he would’ve pulled them in a way the ref fouling hauser out was a partial blessing

@@ryencollins3417 if hauser isn’t knocking in 3s he’s essentially worthless that line up to close the half should’ve stayed in even the opening line up he gave them 4 minutes then forced kohler and hauser minutes kohler may be good one day but rn he looks extremely un-athletic and slow

Michigan State was vastly underrrated last year and underrated this year. Gonzaga has a lot of new players and they are working on their chemistry.

The rims look like they were not straight. Which is why players were missing layups and the perimeter shooting sucked. Playing on an aircraft carrier is just plain stupid.

This should have been an exhibition game imo, sun in the eyes and wind takes away from the purity of the game.

Anytime refs are "the story" is a night of bad officiating. Zags are much better than they showed in this game. They were fortunate to win it. Transfer from UT-Chattanooga Malachi Smith #13 is going to be a difference-maker in tight games like this. Go Zags!
Umm no. They’re only as good as they demonstrate every game. There is no other relevant metric. The same metric they highlight every year in the tournament.
Gonzaga makes the sweet 16 at minimum pretty much every year and has made the final 4 twice in the last 5

Would have been a fast break anyways if there was no call.
I thought they ended up with the right call - Sallis knocked it away cleanly and Walker grabbed him to prevent the fast break. Holding foul, Gonzaga ball. Not sure why they had to spend so much time. There was nothing that looked like a technical or anything. The sun was down at that point, people in the stands and on the benches were bundling up, so any unnecessary stoppage of time was just hampering the ability of the players to stay heated up, so, in that respect, I felt it was poor officiating.
