I've been reading comments about her hands and her feet not being up to scratch. But she has an 'it' quality that is undefinable. She mesmerizes with her grace and fluidity and joy. You never get bored or distracted looking at her.
I dance with Gisele, and I'm pretty sure she wore russian pointe but they couldn't hold her arches. Then she tried a pair when she went to China for a competition, but had trouble ordering more I'm not sure what she is wearing now.
+Bianca Mio I agree she is very good and great technique but there is room for improvement she needs to flow more she seems to stop and start a bit but hey she is 15 and she is brilliant for that age...
i love musicals yay - you know I thought it was just me but I completely agree. There's something almost klutzy about her even though she's obviously incredibly talented. I guess that's just youth.
I have to admit that she has very beautiful feet, but her arms are very distracting! In fact she did well for a 12 year old, but I am not a fan of Gisele at all. For me, I think she is overrated as a dancer. Of course, she has achieved a lot at a very young age, but there are so many dancer out there (eg. Miko Fogarty) who I think are a lot better. But nevertheless, I wish Gisele good luck with the ABT! :)
I heard that later she quit ballet, married, got fat, and popped out a litter of kids. Good for her. The ballet world is insane anyway. Full of crazy, neurotic people. One of the healthiest things one can do is get out and away from that world.
I'm not a ballet expert by any stretch of the imagination but to me there's something about her that's almost a little klutzy. She's like a baby colt who hasn't gotten complete control of its long legs yet. And her legs almost seem too long for her torso. Don't get me wrong - she is exceptionally talented but she's very, very young. In a couple of years she's obviously going to be spectacular. She hasn't yet achieved that effortless quality yet. You're not supposed to see the work involved. You can see her effort in her movements.
What has happened to this beautiful young lady? I can’t find any thing on the internet for an update even in the last year. Does anyone know? Is she dancing with a company somewhere not in US?
Such a stunning dancer. She is young and yet with a great range of emotions in her dancing. Hope she will go far!
She is now 17 and has been dancing with ABT since age 16. She just started her second season with the company.
And she was ASKED to dance at ABT ( wich is very rare) when she was 14 but she said not yet.

She dances so heavily... and her arms and runs bother me....clearly so much better now

unfortunately she doesn t dance anymore. She left ballet for marriage and family life. :(

1) the jazz hands need to go

2) the fouette turns need to be less choppy
