    Not a fair comparison. Diva is the only one using stereo ping-pong delay, which somehow emulates the unison effect, making it sound much wider and stereo.

      That's a good point that I didn't even think about. I'll see if I can find a comparable delay for the other VSTs. But I will say that I'm not a pro at this lol. I don't know much about using delay effects.

    wow. super helpful short and sweet. awesome. thank *YOU* which one is your go to or preference? the diva kind of sounded warmer. the pigments 3 had more movement.

      Thanks. I prefer Diva as I think it has the closest sound to an analog synth. I haven't spent too much time on Massive X or Pigments 3, but I think Diva's sound is better.

    Diva sounds the best, Pigments not warm at all.

      not everything needs to be warm. Digital harshness (Serum/Pigments) is better for crispy dubstep basses.

      There is always a way to make each of them sound warm , deep and very analog.I can even make Pigment sound better than Diva

      @@robmlisanti I agree! You can always make an analogue for each of them it's not a problem at all.

    This short video summarizes very well the differences. Massive X sounds thin, Pigments sounds nice but Diva really sounds thick and warm.
    Thanks!

      I think Diva has the best sound. Pigments has some nice modulation features though. I've heard from others that you can get a good sound out of Massive X. I don't like the interface though and they don't have any oscilloscope or envelope diagram to see how you are shaping the sound.

    • @mechwarreir2

      @@vatolegato Massive and Massive X are special for the same reason... the FX SECTION. Any recent wavetable/subtractive synth can do what Massive does and WAY better today, but Massive still has the most unique engineered FX for exploring sonic possibilities than any other VST.

      @@vatolegato prime example: Initialize a basic saw, then pass it through the "anima" FX, already you can create sounds that no other synth can make since this FX is uniquely engineered and cannot be recreated easily.

    Massive X sounds very good to me, but the problem with Massive X - it's unable to remember presets from session to session. In Logic Pro, you pick a Massive X preset on Monday. You reopen the project on Tuesday, that preset selection is gone, and Massive X has reverted to "init". So lame. For that reason alone Pigments is more "robust" and reliable. And I love Diva a lot for its sounds.

    • @vatolegato
      @vatolegato  2 роки тому

      I didn't know. Massive does seem to have a lot to offer as far as features and modulation, but I don't know much about it and don't know how to really use it. Pigments looks easier to use.
