Man you were flying there! Awesome footage. I just started trail riding my ‘22 300XC and it’s a beast. I don’t have the TSP upgrade yet, but plan on installing it when I get used to the stock power first. How do you find your bike suited for MX? In your previous vids you mentioned you changed the spring, can you please compare your 300 and a 4t 450 Honda you rode the other day in terms of suspension and top end power? Thanks!

This is my first ktm. I have a mod yz250 so comparing that to the 300 two stroke was shocking. Traction and torque off the bottom are rhe most noticeable. Riding MX on the ktm is fine. I run 140psi in the forks in the woods but on the moto track I pump it up pretty stiff to abiut 265lbs and crank in the clickers a lot more than the woods. You can't run a woods setup on the moto track especially if you are trying to ride big sand whoops and places where the suspension really compresses as it unloads and throws off the balance and makes it tough to keep forward momentum. But just making the fork stiffer works just fine for me I'm a 50 year old vet guy so I like my suspension plush anyways. Compared to the 450 it's not in the same ballpark. The 450 has more torque but it feels twice as heavy and doesn't even come close in cornering. The 300 has similar power but feels so much lighter so you can ride it hard a lot longer and be way more aggressive on the track. 450 in the woods well that is self explanatory I have videos of that too.

Troy, I’ve been riding my new stock 300xc in the woods and open areas a few times, prepping for an MX track. For this mx track that’s on the video, what gears do you stay in mostly? Thanks!

@@2t_mxrider I'd say mostly 3rd. I just raced mini os on it. It wasn't good lol. It was pro national level rough. I rode good but the bike is def too soft for a motocross track on this level. I was able to finish 16th out of 40 guys in +50 on it but the valving is too soft for a super rough track. A weekend track that's been groomed is fine but Gatorback was another level rough this year.
